This article provides a comprehensive assessment of the natural resource potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republics of Khakassia and Tuva as part of implementing the «Yenisei Siberia» project. In the introductory section of the article, the authors set out the goals and objectives of the study of the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the socio-economic potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Republic of Khakassia, Republic of Tuva and examine the role of implementing particularly important Yenisei Siberia investment projects in the economic development of the territories. The body of the article starts with the overall review in the form of economic and statistical analysis of the socio-economic conditions in the regions examined. It is followed by an attempt at a statistical measurement of the influence of particularly important investment projects («Southern Cluster», «Construction of the railway Elegest - Kyzyl - Kuragino», «Construction of the timber processing complex in the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory» and «Agro-industrial Park «Siberia») on a summarizing indicator of the economic activity of the regions - gross regional product (GRP). The investment projects were examined using open data sources and official statistical information. By comparing the available information from various sources, the authors assessed the adequacy of the obtained results to the current situation and challenges of the new economy.

Electron microscopy of the cells of the characean alga Nitella flexilis revealed the presence of numerous spherical inclusions which morphologically resemble plant microbodies. The structures have a dense granular matrix and are bounded by a single membrane. Many of the microbodies contain very electron-dense nucleoids that were shown to be alpha-amylase sensitive. In cells of the young apex, microbodies are the most abundant cellular organelle and are intimately associated with dilated cisternae of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complexes, and with large osmiophilic lipid bodies. Although the microbody population appears reduced in mature branchlet cells and internode cells of the main axis, they exhibit a characteristic and frequent association with the chloroplasts. Turnover of microbodies involves some autolytic degradation of the body matrix until complete digestion presumably occurs. Developmental changes of microbodies were monitored with the cytochemical localization of lysosomal aryl sulfatase and acid phosphatase activities. The current study is of interest since catalase, an enzyme marker of microbodies in a variety of tissues, could not be detected using both cytochemical and enzyme assay methods. The functional role of microbodies in Nitella cells is explored in relation to presently available information.

The main goal of the article is to identify the basic patterns of the formation of human capital (HC). An especially valuable and scarce resource of the modern economy is becoming a creative skilled worker capable of generating ideas, as well as creating and implementing new technological solutions and products. The development of the economy leads to significant transformations in the generation of resource potential, and changes in the role of individual resources. Human capital begins to play a dominant role in the resource hierarchy. It is the HC that sets in motion the production processes and determines the efficiency of using the entire resource potential. The methods of aspect analysis and of apperception used in this study made it possible to identify modern patterns peculiar to the formation of human capital in the economy, and to emphasize its objective importance and ability to significantly influence the development of society. During the research, the authors proved that human capital acquires the status of the main resource in the economy, the quantitative characteristics of the workforce capacity give way to the role of qualitative characteristics, and the development of STP requires a new employee formation to dominate the intellectual component.

This paper proposes an empirical analysis of the role of memory in determining the size of credits granted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) during 1991–2003. We first build an original database from information associated with the number and contract types granted by clients, after which we develop an empirical strategy for capturing the role of memory, namely by defining three different indicators to approximate each client’s reputation. These indicators rely on the client’s identity and, when available, information associated with previous EBRD-financed investment projects. With the fixed-effects estimation technique, our results unambiguously show that the value of the first investment project financed by the EBRD, as a proxy for reputation, is the most effective indicator for established clients to determine the size of the credits they receive to finance further investments.

Sirtuins (SIRTs), enzymes from the family of NAD+-dependent histone deacetylases, play an important role in the functioning of the body at the cellular level and participate in many biochemical processes. The multi-directionality of SIRTs encourages scientists to undertake research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of their action and the influence that SIRTs have on the organism. At the same time, new substances are constantly being sought that can modulate the action of SIRTs. Extensive research on the expression of SIRTs in various pathological conditions suggests that regulation of their activity may have positive results in supporting the treatment of certain metabolic, neurodegenerative or cancer diseases or this connected with oxidative stress. Due to such a wide spectrum of activity, SIRTs may also be a prognostic markers of selected pathological conditions and prove helpful in assessing their progression, especially by modulating their activity. The article presents and discusses the activating or inhibiting impact of individual SIRTs modulators. The review also gathered selected currently available information on the expression of SIRTs in individual disease cases as well as the biological role that SIRTs play in the human organism, also in connection with oxidative stress condition, taking into account the progress of knowledge about SIRTs over the years, with particular reference to the latest research results.

Our ancient seers have given importance to Shirah (head) as it is part of the body where life along with sense faculties resides. All the sense organs and the channels carrying the sensory and vital impulses from the Shir (head) are like the rays of the sun. It is necessary to care for Urdhvajatru. In Ayurveda classics mentioned the concept of Pathya (wholesome) and Apathaya (unwholesome) as a part of the treatment of the diseases also a part of regime of healthy living. A person needs to follow a healthy diet and regimen so as to prevent any anomalies in life or to maintain good health. Shalakya Tantra has mentioned proper diet to take in particular disease which is necessary to enhance the effect of treatment and prevent the disease and also useful procedures which are part of Dinacharya to maintain routine health. The aim is to evaluate the role of Pathya- Apathya and dietary regimen mentioned in Shalakya Tantra to prevent the supraclavicular disease. Relevant Ayurveda and modern literature, available information on internet etc, were searched. The dietary advice and various Dinacharya modalities gives nourishment to the supra clavicular region and cures ailments of related and also provides preventive and curative benefits.

Body reserves play an important role in reproduction because they can be used by the sow to buffer against inadequate nutrition when metabolic demands are high, especially in late pregnancy and lactation. There is, however, little available information on the dynamic role of body reserves during reproduction and the present experiments were designed to demonstrate how the body reserves of the sow change in response to different nutritional inputs and to determine whether these influence sow productivity.

Today, the corporate sector features the considerably higher risks of corporate performance with the accordingly higher standards of accountability for results, which largely depend on objectivity, timeliness and comprehensiveness of assessment of the existing and expected financial performance of corporations. This enhances the role and significance of an important analytical field, the corporate activities analysis. The role of economic analysis in the context of market economy and globalization can hardly be overestimated, since the analysis permeates all the operative phases of a corporation. It precedes planning of indicators for the next period, helping organize production processes in a rational and reasonable way, improve collection and processing of information on their progress in the accounting system, assess the situation, and formulate important propositions to correct deficiencies and introduce best practices. Financial analysis is important in the economic operation of a corporation as it enables it to seek reserves to improve its financial condition; to assess the adequacy of use of all the types of financial resources; to take timely measures to improve the solvency, liquidity and financial stability; to ensure optimal production and social development by use of reserves found through the analysis; to develop plans for financial recovery. Methodology and organization of the corporate activities analysis is conditional on the organization and operation specifics of corporate enterprises. The following characteristics of a corporation are covered by analysis: economic activity; technological and organizational structure; interaction of business units within a corporation; capitalization; budgeting; integration of information system for analysis; variability in the conditions of risk. The review of studies devoted to corporate activities analysis shows that domestic and foreign experts offer different methods for analysis of financial statements, depending on the goals and objectives of the analysis, available information, technical support, the efficiency of solutions for analytical and management tasks, experience and qualification of staff. The corporate activities analysis will be more objective when new analysis concepts are adopted, focused on the future.
