The article reveals new requirements for training the visual arts teachers, determined by a rapid evolution of society and restructuring of national education, where an emphasis is put on the project-based learning. Such circumstances demand the change of forms and methods of education, updating and modernization of existing methodical funds. Modern scientists have turned to the project method, which is not new in teaching practice, however, has proven its suitability and importance for a teaching process in the 21st century, which is indicated in the concept “New Ukrainian School” that offers to implement integrated and project-based learning. Such conditions necessitated changes in training the visual arts teachers with one of the tasks being the formation of cultural competence, which creative project activity will ensure. The author analyzes a notion of “creative project activity”, the genesis of its appearance and use in the practice of training the specialists in creative industries. The author substantiates the suitability and relevance of its use in training the visual arts teachers based on the research of training of specialists in creative industries (design, technology, music teachers), partly visual arts teachers. The author describes in detail which students’ qualities are developed while carrying out the creative project activity, i.e. the ability of creative, unconventional and imaginative thinking when dealing with problem and multiple-choice situations in education, professional activity or everyday life. Consequently, creative project activity becomes an integral part of a modern training of specialists in creative industries and is just partially explored in practice, research literature in the context of training the visual arts teachers. Taking into account the new requirements for training the visual arts teachers, the creative project activity becomes a relevant and urgent necessity in training the visual arts teachers, but is not explored enough and needs further research.

The goal of this paper is to identify the features of visual activity and conceptual approaches to the process of depiction. The research was carried out through observation of students’ work at the Moscow Region State University (MRSU) on the creation of paintings within the traditions of realistic depiction. The article analyzes the tendencies typical for visual activity, as well as the main problems arising in the process of artistic work, gives examples from practice, suggests ways to overcome such problems and to master the algorithms of “analytical depiction”. Author’s revisions of the following concepts are introduced: “depiction” as a method of “analytical painting”, when the result of the work is the realization of the conceived, and “copying” as drawing without comparing the qualities of the depicted, when the result of the activity is random and is not the artistic image that was intended to be created. The results of the research contribute to the theory of teaching professional art creativity, and to the understanding of theoretical problems of art and arts education. The materials can be used in teaching practice.

The aim of the work was to study the features of pedagogical control of schoolchildren's learning in a modern general education school. Research methods: theoretical: a review of psychological and pedagogical literature on research issues. The advantages of the system for assessing the degree of training are that each subsequent parameter is qualitatively higher than the previous one, and the system as a whole assesses the growth of knowledge and skills of students and the proposed parameters are convenient to operate in practice during the current assessment of knowledge, skills and abilities of students. The disadvantage of the system - the last parameter - "transfer" - characterizes as the student's ability to solve problems of a heuristic and creative type, ie. this stage requires detailing. The teaching function of control is to determine the content, techniques and methods of control, which are educational in nature. Any controlling task, except for the controlling function, trains students in the implementation of specific educational actions, ensuring a more solid mastery of these actions. The controlling task includes an element of novelty in the informative and substantive terms, providing an expansion of the cognitive horizons of students, developing and increasing the learning value of control. It is difficult to eliminate the subjective element of pedagogical control due to various circumstances: the designation of learning outcomes is rather arbitrary: knowledge, abilities, skills, assimilation, academic performance, etc .; methods of direct measurement of educational activity have not been developed, and it is judged indirectly by the answers, by the actions of students. Pedagogical control is an important component of the educational process that influences the result, the course of training and education. This problem is one of the most urgent in teaching practice.

The purpose of the research is to define the proficiency state of the motivation- and value-related components of the professional competence acquired by the specialists in the field of processing and food productions (based on the results of the experiment which involved the first-year students specialised in 181 "Food technologies"). To determine the proficiency of level of the motivation- and value-related components of the professional competence to be acquired by the future specialists in the field of processing and food productions we used the methodologies adapted to our research: the testing of person’s value-related reference points and the testing of person’s capacity for self-discovery. The experiment was aimed at revealing and comparing future specialists’ motivation to study, basic reasons for educational activity, grounds for choosing a profession, and value-related orientations of the students constituting experimental and control (general) groups. The experiment involved the students specialised in 181 "Food technologies" in Kharkiv State University for Food Technologies and Trade, Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture and Kharkiv Cooperative Trade and Economic College. The experiment consisted of two stages. At the first stage, 237 future specialists participated in the continuous questioning specially elaborated by the author. On the second stage, the first-year (two groups) and the second-year students (two groups) were tested according to the methodology "Motivation for study": test 1 "Studying the reasons of students’ educational activity”, test 2 "The necessities to develop students’ self-evaluation". The future specialists in the field of processing and food production acquired the professional competencies during the pedagogical events facilitating the development of stable motivation for their professional activity. The experiment allowed us to affirm that the professional competence demonstrated by the future specialists in the field of processing and food productions consists of some components, the motivation- and value-related component being one of them. On the whole, the results of the questioning confirmed the insufficient (reproductive) proficiency level which the future specialists of processing and food production demonstrated within the professional competence. The results of the first stage of the experiment (continuous questioning) testify that it is important for most students rather to get an appraisal than acquire knowledge. Most students failed to give any reasons for self-perfection or systematic professional development.
