The role of quality human resources is very important to direct and formulate policies needed by organizations/agencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Motivation, Competence and Work Environment on Employee Job Performance at the Head Office of Hasanuddin University. The method in collecting data in this study is a questionnaire, observation (observation), interviews and documentation. The method of data analysis uses inferential statistical methods namely by using multiple linear regression statistical methods to measure the Effect of Motivation, Competence and Work Environment on Employee Job Performance at the Head Office of Hasanuddin University. Based on the F test the independent variables (motivation, competence and work environment) together have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable (job performance). Through testing the correlation coefficient (R) obtained that the correlation level of the relationship between Motivation, Competence and Work Environment Against Employee Job Performance is a high relationship that is 67.2%, while the remaining 32.8% is influenced by other factors. And motivation is the most dominant factor affecting the Job Performance of Hasanuddin University Headquarters.

It is important to take psychological work environment into a study, due to the fact that hotels sometimes do not aware how important is the role of psychological work environment in affecting employee job performance because it is intangible. However, various researches have confirmed that psychological work environment is able to affect positively to employee job performance. Due to this fact, this research aims to study whether the psychological work environment affects employee job performance and to analyze which psychological work environment gives the biggest impact on employee job performance. Simple/linear regression is used to analyze the relationship between psychological work environment and employee job performance. The data used for this quantitative research is collected by questionnaire distributed to a total of 67 staff level employees in a five-star hotel located in Lippo Village. In conclusion, it is confirmed that psychological work environment affects positively to employee job performance, and job attitude gives the biggest impact on employee job performance. The studied company is suggested to improve psychological work environment, particularly job attitude gives the biggest impact.

The market pressures, competitive work environment and advancement in technologies are posing numerous challenges before organizations in order to grow and survive. Human resources in this scenario face tough time at work places and are forced to either perform or perish. The committed and dedicated workers who work tirelessly in realizing their own aspirations and strive hard in attaining organizational goals are termed as engaged employees. They need to inspired and guided by leaders so that they can be more effective and result oriented. It calls for the role of transformational leaders to instill sense of commitment and dedication among their followers. Keeping this in view, the present paper is aimed to examine the effect of transformational leadership on employee engagement and will also explore the relationship that exists between them.

ABSTRACT Improving the quality of human resources is focused on a variety of things that can affect job performance. There are two variables that are thought to have contributed to the formation of job performance, namely the work environment and organizational culture. This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of the work environment and organizational culture on job performance. The research will be conducted in one of the micro businesses in Kranggan District, Mojokerto Regency which involves 25 employees to be involved as respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis is used as an analytical tool to prove the research hypothesis. The research findings suggest that (1) the work environment has a significant effect on job performance; (2) organizational culture has a significant effect on job performance; and (3) work environment and organizational culture simultaneously have a significant effect on job performance. Most previous research has examined the relationship between FB addiction and burnout level by conducting cross-sectional studies. Little is known about the impact of changes in burnout on FB addiction in an educational context. Through a two-way longitudinal survey of a student population sample (N = 115), this study examined the influence of changes in academic burnout over time and FB motives and importance (measured at the beginning and the end of the semester) on FB intrusion measured at the end of the academic semester. The findings show that: (1) increases in cynicism and in FB motives and importance significantly predicted time2 FB intrusion; (2) FB importance enhanced the prediction power of changes in the academic burnout total score, exhaustion and personal inefficacy, and reduced the regression coefficient of changes in cynicism; (3) the interaction effects between FB social motive use and changes in academic burnout, as well as between FB importance and personal inefficacy and exhaustion, accounted for a significant change in the explained variance of time2 FB intrusion. About 20–30% of the variance in time2 FB intrusion was explained by all the examined variables and by the interactions between them. The results suggest that changes in academic burnout and FB motives and importance are suppressive variables, as including these variables in the regression model all together changed the significance of the relationship between independent variables and FB intrusion.

The research aims to show the role of industrial ecology in optimizing the value of mineral water industry organizations in the city of Dohuk through the adoption of a significant problem: What is the role of industrial ecology in optimizing the value of organizations? The researcher has adopted a primary hypothesis in studying the problem. The researcher also measured the reality of the problem and the validity of the hypothesis on the method of opinion questionnaire: a sample of organizations of mineral water industry consisting of 27 individuals using a questionnaire consisting of a set of questions related to the independent research variables (industrial ecology) and the approved variable (the value of the organization). The number of questions related to the independent variable was 10 questions, and 16 questions were related to the dependent variable. Then the researchers used some statistical methods in analyzing the questionnaire. The relationship and impact between industrial ecology and the value of the organization has been settled. The researchers have reached a significant conclusion that there is a positive correlation between the two research variables and that the industrial ecology affects the maximization of the value of mineral water industry organizations in the market of the city of Dohuk (0.114 once).

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and job performance. It also examines the mediating role of social capital in influencing the relationship between OCB and job performance. Design/methodology/approach The study explores the dynamic relationship among the variables of OCB and job performance and social capital. Data were collected from 501 respondents working in 15 healthcare organizations in Kolkata, India, through questionnaire survey. Likert-type rating scales of OCB, job performance and social capital with sound reliability and validity were used to carry out the survey. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings The results of the present study show that OCB significantly predicts job performance in healthcare organizations. Social capital found to be a significant mediator between OCB and job performance. Research limitations/implications The findings of the study have a number of implications for organizations in acknowledging and leveraging social capital and encouraging OCB to facilitate superior performance of employees. The generalization of the findings of the study should be restricted to the healthcare organizations in Kolkata due to its own style of functioning, workforce and work environment. The role of demographic variables in influencing the outcome measures has not been considered for the present study. Further research on these aspects may reveal more interesting results with regard to the dynamics among organizational citizenship behavior, social capital and job performance. Practical implications Employee-friendly management practices should be adopted in organizations to facilitate the formation of network building and development of social capital which serves as an asset to organizations and creates competitive advantage. Originality/value The research findings enrich our understanding of voluntary social participation and citizenship behavior of employees for influencing performance at work. The study also provides useful and unique insight on the benefits of networking in healthcare organizations particularly helping employees to cope with emergency situations. The findings as well as methodology used in this study are original and unique.

Purpose This study aims at providing empirical evidence pertaining to the interaction among authentic leadership, workplace harmony, worker's creativity and performance in the context of telecommunication sector. These research streams remain important issues and of interest as the world continues to migrate toward a knowledge-based economy. Design/methodology/approach Applying structural equation modeling, this study diagnosed the impact of Authentic leadership (AL) on employees (n = 345) in two Jordanian telecommunication firms, specifically, how it shapes workplace climate, creativity and job performance. The study also tests the moderating role of knowledge sharing in the model, as well as the mediating role of workplace climate on the relationship between AL and positive organizational outcomes. Findings The empirical result suggests that AL positively influences workplace climate, creativity and job performance; workplace climate positively influences creativity and job performance; workplace climate mediates the relationship between AL and creativity, and job performance; and knowledge sharing behavior moderates the relationship between AL and workplace climate. Originality/value This study highlights the magnificent power of AL and knowledge sharing, not only in shaping the workplace atmosphere but also in delineating how these variables stimulate creativity and performance among employees. The implications for research and practice are discussed.
