Background: Current statistics show that the highest incidence of genital herpes is observed among women of reproductive age. Since these patients have an active lifestyle, frequent outbreaks of genital herpes can cause physical and psychological discomfort. Aim. To assess the quality of life of women of reproductive age with recurrent genital herpes. Methods: The quality of life in women suffering from recurrent genital herpes for more than 5 years (n=86) was evaluated. The control group included healthy women (n=91) according to the data of external genitalia examination and PCR diagnostics. The Health Status Survey (SF-36) in points was employed to measure the health status of women in both groups. Results: We established a significant difference between two groups of patients in terms of the influence of the following indicators on functional limitations: general health condition — 12.1±0.8 points; pain — 8.3±0.4 points; physical problems — 18,3±3,7; physical activity — 8.2±0.6 points (p<0.01). Conclusion: Symptoms of herpetic infection and longterm persistence have an impact on the performance of daily tasks and the quality of life of the patient.

One of the most common benign hyperproliferative diseases of the female reproductive organs are uterine leiomyoma, the frequency of which, according to various literature in women of reproductive age is between 20% and 40%, and is the main indication for surgery, including removal of the organ. Long-term effects of surgical interventions for uterine fibroids have been the subject of numerous debates. In modern literature is not much research on the assessment of the quality of life both in organ treatment of uterine fibroids, and after surgical recovery. Quality of life have undoubtedly significant prognostic value and can be used in selecting the optimal treatment of uterine fibroids, as well as the development of individual approach to postoperative rehabilitation of patients. The objective: was the study of quality of life and the search for possible ways to improve in women after surgical healing uterine fibroids. Materials and methods. A survey of 80 women of reproductive age (study group), which was conducted without hysterectomy applications. Clinical and laboratory examination conducted in the dynamics of the postoperative period and at 6, 12 months and 3 years after surgical recovery. Assessment of comparative analysis require further formation of two groups comparing 20 patients with myoectomy and 20 women with no uterus amputation supravaginal applications. The control group consisted of 20 healthy patients. Assessment of quality of life survey conducted by using common clinical trials and monitoring at the individual questionnaire MOS 36- Item Short-Form Health Survey- MOS SF-36. Statistical analysis of the survey results was carried out using the software package Microsoft Office Excel and Statistica 6.0 for Windows. Results. In women, the main indicators of psycho-emotional and vegetative manifestations were most pronounced immediately after surgery and remained stable in three years with no significant deviations in the comparison group. Among the most frequently observed fatigue (76.25%), sleep disorders (88.75%), irritability and mood changes (76.25%) and emotional lability, anxiety and depressive symptoms. Of The results of evaluation of quality of life should be noted that first disturbed functioning role of women because of poor physical and emotional state, as evidenced by the significant differences obtained on the scale of General Health (GH) (overall health). Three years after the rapid improvement in women’s core group established stable condition posthisterektomy pronounced effect on quality of life. Thus, in total 33.75% of the principal groups characterized as low quality of life, compared with 5.0% of patients in the control group and 10,0% of women with myoectomy. Conclusions. The highest level of dissatisfaction with life studied patients presenting in health – 28.75% (23) cases, slightly less professional – 22.5% (18), emotional – 17.5% (17) and as in the sexual sphere – 13.75% (11) cases. That associated complications related symptoms posthisterektomy syndrome, increases the level of stress and hysterectomy as the body creates prerequisites for psychosomatic disorders. This action provides additional risk factors for the development of psychosocial distress in this group of patients. Key words: uterine fibroids, hysterectomy, posthisterektomy syndrome, psychosomatic disorders, quality of life.

The authors assessed the quality of life of 263 women of reproductive age. The main group consisted of 139 women aged o18-44 as the patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis disease treated in 2011-2012, and the other group of comparison consisted of 124 healthy women of the same age. To assess the life quality the authors used Russian version of the SF-36 which included questions of medico- social nature. It was proved that all the life quality parameters of the women suffering from tuberculosis disease were reduced in comparison with the control group of the healthy women. The only exception was the pain syndrome for which the statistical significance wasn’t reached at all and the physical functioning was assessed at the lowest level. The life quality problem was identified almost in half of the women that proved by the obtained data. Analysis of quality of life of the women established that 25-34 years respondents had the highest reducing of the rates. The analyzed group of patients differed from the low level of the socio- economic independence relatively favorable structure of clinical tuberculosis forms but with a high frequency of tubercle bacilli discharging and detection of lung tissue destructing. Generally, women with pulmonary tuberculosis had numerous risk factors for disease and co-morbidities aggravating the main process. The unfavorable health and social hygienic characteristics of the analyzed group of patients contribute to late making a diagnosis and spreading the infection among the population, including the women of reproductive age. Therefore health care professionals need to make efforts to promote healthy lifestyle and prevention of tuberculosis with this contingent that will allow to prevent new cases of disease and to reduce morbidity. The aim of any disease treatment, including tuberculosis should be considered as acts to improve the life quality of patients in case of positive clinical dynamics. Therefore it is important to guide medical practice for the patients’ psychosomatic status correcting in the early stages of disease that will be able to solve health problems more successfully. Thereby, the authors think it is necessary to organize services; to open offices where patients could get psychosocial correction and rehabilitation, to train the specialists.

UNSTRUCTURED The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of continuous nursing system of artificial intelligence (AI) on patients discharged from hospital after heart valve replacement (HVR) and the application value of Omaha system. The patients undergoing HVR were taken as the research objects and divided into control group (routine nursing) and observation group (continuous nursing). Through the continuous nursing system of AI, the patients discharged from the hospital were monitored remotely, and the vital signs of patients were analyzed by AI. Different nursing methods were used to intervene the patients. Nursing evaluation data were used for nursing evaluation of patients undergoing HVR. Activity of Daily Life Scale (ADL) was used to evaluate patients' daily living ability, health status questionnaire was used to evaluate patients' health status, and World Health Organization Quality of Life-Brief version (WHOQOL-BREF) was used to evaluate patients' quality of life. The results showed that, before intervention, there was no significant difference in the scores of ADL between the control group and the observation group, with no statistical significance (P > 0.05). After intervention, the scores of ADL in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05), and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); before intervention, the scores of ADL in the control group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference in the health status questionnaire score between the control group and the observation group, without statistical significance (P > 0.05). After intervention, the health status questionnaire score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference in WHO quality of life evaluation score between the control group and the observation group, without statistical significance (P > 0.05). After intervention, the WHO quality of life evaluation score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After intervention, the KBS evaluation of nursing problem outcomes in the observation group was higher than that before intervention, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). In conclusion, the continuous nursing system of AI based on Omaha system can effectively evaluate the nursing problems of patients after discharge and improve the quality of life of patients, which has important application value.

In recent years, breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer pathology and the most common cause of disability among women in developed countries. Finding the most effective ways of interaction between the patient and the doctor creates the preconditions for the necessary analysis of the treatment process from an objective and subjective point of view. Therefore, an important indicator to be taken into account is the quality of life of a patient. To compare the indicators of a comprehensive assessment of the quality of life of patients to the adverse locally advanced forms (LA) of breast cancer before and after systemic intravenous polychemotherapy (SPCTx) and selective endolymphatic polychemotherapy (ELPCTx) in neoadjuvant mode. The study was conducted on the basis of a random analysis of outpatient cards from 112 patients with LA BC T4A-DN0-3M0 who received a comprehensive antitumor treatment on the basis of the Donetsk regional antitumor center and the University Clinic of the Odessa National Medical University from 2000 to 2017, which was proposed a questionnaire at various stages of preoperative treatment. The first (control) group consisted of 65 patients (58 %) with inoperable forms of LA BC, which was performed in neoadjuvant mode by SPCTx. The second (study group) included 47 patients (42 %) with inoperable forms of LA BC, which was performed as a neoadjuvant course ELPCTx. According to the integral indicators of quality of life and quality of health between patients in the control and study groups, there was no statistically significant difference. In a detailed analysis of the indicators of symptomatic scales, the difference between the groups did not exceed the critical. Based on the results of a study conducted among patients receiving endolymphatic chemotherapy in a neoadjuvant mode, the subjective evaluations of treatment in absolute numbers have better reference values without statistical superiority. The study of the integrative indicator of quality of life and its discrete elements is an ergonomic and economical means of heuristic assessment of the health of patients in order to further develop more rational and convenient ways of solving urgent issues of modern oncology by increasing compliance and finding a compromise between the physician and the patient.

Abstract The assessment of the six-week influence of Kinesio Taping combined with a rehabilitation on selected ultrasonography measurements, the level of disability, and the quality of life in patients with rotator cuff lesions. 60 participants were randomly assigned into a taping group (KT combined with a six-week rehabilitating protocol) and a control group (only rehabilitation protocol). In all patients the following assessments were performed twice: USG, UEFI and NHP questionnaires. In the examination of the subacromial space and the subacromial bursa in the taping group, no statistical significance was observed. A statistically significant change in the thickness of the muscles was obtained only for the thickness of the infraspinatus in the taping group. A statistically significant change was obtained in the assessment of tendinopathy only for the supraspinatus muscle in both groups. Within both groups a statistically significant difference was observed in the average UEFI and NHP scores; however, the differences in the scores obtained between the groups were not statistically significant. The use of KT with a rehabilitation program did not yield statistically significantly better results in the improvement of selected shoulder region indicators, the function of the upper limb and the quality of life.

Abstract Background and purpose Although participation in cardiac rehabilitation (CR) improves quality of life (QoL), participation in CR, especially among elderly, is limited. We conducted this study to assess whether mobile home-based CR (mCR) increases QoL in elderly (≥65 years old) patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) or a valvular intervention who decline participation in conventional CR. Methods It is designed as a randomised multi-centre study with two parallel arms. Randomisation assigned patients either to mCR or a control group. mCR Consisted of six months of home-based CR with telemonitoring and coaching. Control-group patients did not receive any form of CR throughout the study period. Quality of life was measured with the SF-36v2 questionnaire at 0, 6 and 12 months. Results A total of 179 patients were included in this study (90 control, 89 mCR). A flowchart of the trial is presented in Figure 1. Patients were predominantly male (81.1%). Baseline characteristics can be found in Table 1. Patients using mCR improved on physical QoL after 6 (p=0.026) and 12 (p=0.008) months. There was no difference on mental QoL for both groups (mCR 6 months p=0.563, 12 months p=0.945; control 6 months p=0.589, 12 months p=0.542). No difference existed in QoL between the mCR and control group (physical: 6 months p=0.070, 12 months p=0.150; mental: 6 months p=0.355, 12 months p=0.625). Conclusion Although there is no significant difference in QoL between the control and mCR group, mCR increases physical QoL after 6 and 12 months in elderly patients who decline participation in conventional CR. Therefore E-Health tools should be considered as an alternative for conventional CR when (elderly) patients decline to participate in conventional CR. Figure 1. To study the effect of rapid rehabilitation nursing on patients’ quality of life and pain level during the perioperative period of radical breast cancer surgery. Methods: 126 patients who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2018 to February 2020 and underwent radical breast cancer surgery were divided into control group and rapid rehabilitation group according to the perioperative period intervention method. Routine nursing intervention and rapid rehabilitation nursing intervention were used respectively. The general conditions of the two groups were recorded, and the differences of T cell subsets before operation and 3 days after operation were detected. Visual analogue pain (VAS) score was used to evaluate the changes of pain degree at 1 day, 3 days and 5 days after operation and on the day of discharge. Postoperative complications and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Quality of life (QOL) was assessed at 1 month and 3 months after operation using the CARES-SF score. Results: Anesthesia waking time (26.12 ± 5.77) min, off-bed activity time (14.25 ± 2.87) h and hospital stay (7.82 ± 2.15) d in the rapid rehabilitation group were shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The operation time (92.02 ± 14.78) min and intraoperative blood loss (57.96 ± 13.96) mL in the rapid rehabilitation group were not significantly different from those in the control group (P > 0.05). In the control group, 3d after operation, T lymphocyte subsets were decreased gradually than that before operation (P < 0.05), CD3+ was decreased 3d after operation than that before operation in the rapid rehabilitation group (P < 0.05), but CD4+, CD8+, CD4+ / CD8 + 3d after operation had no significant difference than that before operation (P > 0.05). In rapid rehabilitation group, T lymphocyte subsets at 3d after operation were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The postoperative complication rate of the rapid rehabilitation group was lower than that of the control group, and the satisfaction degree was higher than that of the control group, with significant difference (P < 0.05). After follow-up, it was found that the scores of qualities of life, such as physiology, psychosocial, marriage, sexual life and relationship with medical staff in the rapid rehabilitation group were lower than those in the control group at 1 month and 3 months after operation (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The concept of rapid rehabilitation nursing can stabilize the immune function of patients after radical breast cancer surgery, promote the postoperative rehabilitation and improve the quality of life after operation.

Background/aims Workers engaged in vehicle spray painting are at a risk of developing respiratory problems because of the solvents in the spray paints. Changes in respiratory functions and functional capacities caused by spray painting can be improved with respiratory exercises. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of respiratory exercises on the respiratory functions, functional capacity and quality of life in vehicle spray painters. Methods A total of 70 volunteers with similar characteristics participated in the study. The groups were divided into two groups randomly (35 study group, 35 control group). Respiratory functions (value of forced expiratory volume percentage in 1 second [FEV1]), forced vital capacity percentage [FVC], FEV1/FVC percentage, peak expiratory flow percentage [PEF (%)] and maximum voluntary ventilation percentage [MVV (%)]), functional capacity (6-Minute Walk Test) and quality of life (Short Form Health Survey [SF-36]) were evaluated. The study group undertook supervised breathing exercises 3 days a week for 6 weeks. The same exercises were given to the control group as a home programme. Home programmes were followed up by telephone calls. Evaluations were performed again after 6 weeks. Results In the study group, FEV1 (%) increased more than in the control group (P<0.05). The increase in PEF (%) was similar in both groups (P>0.05). In the study group, FEV1/FVC (%) and MVV (%) were significantly different before and after the intervention (P<0.05), but there was no difference in the control group (P>0.05). There was a greater increase in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05). 6-Minute Walk Test distance (m) before and after the intervention in both groups were similar (P>0.05). Before and after the intervention, a significant difference was found in the vitality and the social function domains of the SF-36 in the study group. In the comparisons of groups, a significant difference was found in the study group in the role-emotional, social function and bodily pain domains of the SF-36 after the intervention (P<0.05). Conclusions Breathing exercises can be recommended for vehicle spray painters to avoid an increase in respiratory resistance and to improve their quality of life.
