Introduction. The issue of strategizing corporate management approach during the implementation of the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is considered in the article. The implementation of CSR concept in the enterprise’s overall strategy is one of the important areas of building mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholder groups. Purpose. The research aims to justify a comprehensive strategic approach to CSR on the basis of the construction of integrated corporate and business strategies with a focus on the CSR principles. Method (methodology). A complex of scientific methods such as method of theoretical generalization, comparison and systematic approach to the formation of interconnected strategies for different hierarchical levels of enterprise management with a focus on CSR principles have become the methodological basis of the study. Results. The necessity to overcome the isolation of socially responsible programs and initiatives and provide their close relationship with key business processes on a strategic basis through the introduction of CSR elements in strategic management has been proved. Stages of forming integrated corporate (business) strategy with a focus on CSR principles, which allow implementing a comprehensive strategic approach to CSR at all hierarchical levels of enterprise management, have been proposed. It has been emphasized that corporate and business strategy integrated with socially responsible objectives and principles form prerequisites for improving operational efficiency of the enterprise management systems.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the Middle East is gaining more importance than in the past. Although it still remains more about philanthropy and charity, it moves towards a more strategic approach which includes formalizing ways of giving, as a set of non-random actions, and focuses more on addressing social ills and environment, economic challenges, that are hindering development. However, the business in the region has not yet taken the step to fully integrate the CSR into their core business operations. The most common challenges that facing the CSR implementation are the lack of government requirements and incentives, spreading awareness, building CSR partnership model, going beyond the marketing and PR campaigns, and full integration of CSR into the business strategy. In this paper, we aim to introduce the current state of the CSR in the Middle East and its perspectives, besides reviewing its evaluation stages, motivations, and current challenges. Moreover, we aim to examine CSR common practices through examples from the financial sector. The research method applied in this research is based on secondary data sources and we have used desk research to illustrate most important points and findings on the topic.

Summary The concept of corporate social responsibility , functioning under the name of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), which is the responsibility of the business, is becoming more popular not only in academia, but also business. The purpose of this paper is to present the issues related to the implementation of selected elements of the concept of CSR (codes of ethics , norms and standards for quality management and dialogue with stakeholders) in the surveyed enterprises agribusiness. Research on business opinion on the concept of CSR has been carried out in the second half of 2013 and included 174 micro-enterprises (0-9 persons), small (10-49 employees ) and medium (50-249 employees) businesses agribusiness established in rural areas of Warmia and Mazury . The results showed that it is necessary first of all to think of entrepreneurs in terms of CSR and strategic approach to community engagement in the area where the company knows best. It is important to create their own solutions among companies understood as a business strategy , not just the actions taken occasionally.

Today, the use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to influence consumers and differentiate product offerings has become an important aspect of overall corporate strategy. The main purpose of this paper is to understand corporate social responsibility in a supply chain setting. This paper identifies dimensions of the supply chain which are important to be considered for making the whole supply chain socially responsible. Drawing upon insights from available literature on CSR and supply chain, this article reports the major findings of an empirical study. The study reported in this paper highlights the viewpoint of small and medium enterprises with regard to CSR in supply chains.

An increasing number of studies have focused on the impact of the increase in the proportion of overseas returnees in enterprise management. How do executives with an overseas background affect corporate value? Based on Upper Echelons Theory, this paper studies the influence of overseas returnees on enterprise value from the perspective of strategic corporate social responsibility. Based on the sample composed of companies listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchange, the research shows that executives from overseas through strengthening strategic corporate social responsibility, make the enterprise social responsibility incorporated into the development of business strategy, finally promoting the ascension of the enterprise value. Namely, the strategic corporate social responsibility orientation plays an intermediary role between executives from overseas and enterprise value. This study further correlates the characteristics of overseas returnees with the strategic decisions of enterprises, deepens the understanding of the realization mechanism of overseas executives' promotion of corporate value, enriches the research results of factors influencing corporate social responsibility, to improve the active construction of local enterprises' social responsibility by changing the structure of the executive.

Introduction. Nowadays, the development of an enterprises social responsibility (SR) strategy is one of the integral components of its successful functioning as it transfers the relationship between the enterprise and society to a higher level and becomes one of the most important factors on the way to the economic development of both an individual enterprise and our country as a whole. Modern business cannot consider itself separately from its most important stakeholders, therefore, the implementation of corporate social responsibility concept is the indirect factor that provides the link SR – stakeholders – enterprise total efficiency increasement. Purpose. The theoretical basis of the study is the works of leading domestic and foreign scientists, as well as international and national legislative and regulatory acts in the field of the enterprise’s social responsibility concept formation and development. In the process of performing the work and reflecting the results, such general scientific research methods were applied as etymological, comparable, systematical, synthesis and analysis, generalization, statistical comparison, etc. Results. The essence of the “social responsibility” concept is viewed through the prism of its key elements (economic, legal, moral, philanthropic and environmental), only a comprehensive implementation of which allows you to verify that the company is making progress towards sustainable development. The article analyzes the successful experience of applying the concept of social responsibility among world famous companies of different industry sectors, and also clarifies how the management systems of domestic enterprises are adapted to the principles of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in general. As a result, the advantages of introducing social responsibility in Ukrainian companies are outlined, and problematic issues accompanying this process are highlighted and general recommendations for their effective elimination are presented. Conclusion. The SR management system is a set of interrelated functions of analysis, planning, organization and control that ensure a continuous process of interaction between enterprise management and stakeholders. At the same time, only well-coordinated actions of business entities and the state towards the development of applied tools for socially responsible company management will allow us to bring the concept of social responsibility in Ukraine to a qualitatively new level, ensuring the intensification of our society development in the direction of sustainable development.

Theoretical substantiation. Lithuania, as an EU member contributing to the Lisbon strategy, aims at building a competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy, grounded on sustainable economic development, harmonious relations between business, government and civil society. It has approved CSR development vision and development as well as implementation of its priority areas (Astromskiene, Adamoniene, 2009). Social responsibility of the organization is also integrally linked with the organization’s management culture represented by the criteria such as scientific knowledge management, the ability to apply leadership activities, perception of its own role in organizational and social structures, the organization of processes, personal culture and leadership. These are the factors which provide conditions for socially responsible, environmentally sustainable organizational behavior (Andriukaitiene, 2013). According to Z. Simanaviciene, A. Simanavicius and R. Kovaliov (2012), companies that decide to implement the concept of corporate social responsibility first need to define the priority of the area of corporate social responsibility: social responsibility to employees, social responsibility to the local community, social responsibility to the environment and expansion of the company’s value. According to the authors, companies implementing the company’s social responsibility (hereinafter CSR) have to understand that only innovative, high-quality producing and the best consumer-oriented companies can expect to increase their competitiveness and market value after implementing CSR, in particular regarding the positive attitude of the population and willingness to buy their products. V. Juscius and A. Sneideriene (2013) highlight that CSR practice helps to obtain “the public license to operate”, take into account environmental and social issues, create success measurement tools, enhance the brand, improve the company’s financial activities, attract and retain the best employees, increase productivity, improve the quality of goods and services, avoid legal violations, raise capital, avoid public discontent. According to R. Ciegis and R. Norkute (2012), larger organizations uniting more employees as well as providing their goods or services to a greater consumer market are interested in and aim to implement company’s social responsibility. The object of the survey was the reliability of the questionnaire subscales. The aim of study was to verify the organization’s and the employee’s social behaviour questionnaire subscales and their methodological characteristics. The following research objectives were set to achieve the aim: 1) to discuss theoretical aspects of the corporate social responsibility; 2) to validate the reliability of scales and their methodological characteristics; 3) to compare the methodological characteristics of the questionnaire scales Methods Scientific literature analysis and questionnaire survey methods were used. These methods were used for empirical data processing: factorization (primary and secondary), psychometric characteristics for the determination of the reliability of scales. The study sample consisted of 1717 respondents representing all layers of the organization’s staff according to the positions. The survey was conducted in two industrial company groups with 1915 employees in total (1030 and 885 employees) during the study period. The survey nature and terms were combined with the group of companies’ senior management. The empirical study was conducted using article author’s developed questionnaire. The survey carried out in July – August of 2013. The study data was processed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) programme (Version 21). Findings. Results of this study are one of the constituent parts of the research “Establishment of management culture level in order to implement the concept of a socially responsible company”. Only the methodological characteristics of the social responsibility unit scales of the questionnaire are provided in this article. The study results confirmed that the organization’s social behavior and employees’ social behavior scales can be used separately from the management culture block in the questionnaire. Both social responsibility scales matched reliability and validation requirements and no significant differences between the quality characteristics of these scales were observed. The calculations show that the questionnaire is adequate to diagnose the company’s readiness to become socially responsible.

The purpose of this paper is to identify the CSR scopes of the leading bank institutions in Poland and to discuss their strategic context in the light of the theoretical findings. This paper analyzes the scope of practices undertaken by banks that publish Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports. It demonstrates the important role of banks in reporting and introducing corporate social responsibility practices in Poland. This paper uses a content analysis of selected banks’ CSR reports. In the analyzed 2007–2016 period it notes the increasing amount of banks’ reports and reported by them practices. The leading CSR bank institutions covered by this study adopt numerous practices such as, primarily, community involvement and development, including charitable, philanthropic and educational activities as well as entrepreneurship, creating jobs and competencies. Ranked second are labor practices and initiatives, oriented mainly at employee volunteering as well as training and development. The third group are consumer issues, primarily including those focused on rising availability of products and services as well as on facilities for clients. This analysis shows that the leading CSR bank institutions better and better understand the role of corporate involvement in society as a modern strategic approach that leverages capabilities to improve salient areas of competitive context and transforms value chains activities to benefit society while reinforcing corporate strategy.

Today, CSR has become an important part of every business. People expect a company not only act socially responsible towards his stockholders but also towards the entire society in which the company operates. However, it describes how business economic criteria, like making merchandise and profits, to accomplish both social and environmental goals. It also contributes towards sustainable economic development in which the firm itself operating and also its employs and their family members.

The paper analyzes the approaches of scientists and the essential characteristics of corporate social responsibility as a factor in increasing its attractiveness and public confidence. The purpose of the study is to define the definition of "Social responsibility of business", to study the historical aspects of its formation. A separate analysis of foreign experience, namely the EU countries, in the development of ethical business principles of conduct of economic entities and tools for their systematic compliance. In the course of the research, it was established that socially oriented business monitors the implementation of codes of ethics and regulations adopted in its own corporate strategy. Social principles of interaction relate to a responsible attitude to the environment, compliance with labor laws on working conditions for employees, social investment in educational, sports, environmental and scientific programs for the growth of social, innovative and cultural capital in the country. It was found that the socially oriented activity of companies forms a trusting attitude towards themselves on the part of international partners and investors, which ultimately affects the financial result. cooperation between business, the public sector and government agencies in shaping social sustainability. Based on the analysis of indicators of social activity of business in European countries, a rapidly growing dynamics of social investment, given the reduction in the number of socially oriented projects to support corporate and socially oriented business. Emphasis is placed on the increased relevance of the introduction of corporate social responsibility by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and communication with society due to the lack of dissemination of ethical practices and low interaction. It is critical for Ukraine to adopt the European experience to develop its own model of socially responsible governance, which can be the subject of further research, and to combine it with national traditions and interactions to reduce the negative consequences for all stakeholders.

Triple bottom line is making businesses increasingly conscious about the people, planet and profit. On one side where earning profits are crucial for organizations, the concept of sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR) is also emerging as a major concern for the corporate strategy. How to strike a balance between the two is one of the major challenges ahead for organizations. Moreover, Indian consumers are also nowadays becoming more aware about the responsibilities that a firm should possess. They are not ignorant as they were earlier; media is more vigilant and companies have now started knowing about the escalating negative effects of neglecting society, dynamism, building brand reputation by incorporating CSR and increased competition in the marketing environment for being socially responsible. Therefore, this article is an endeavour to measure the extent to which Indian consumers are aware about CSR and whether CSR has any impact on Indian consumers’ actual buying behaviour. Data were collected from 232 respondents via a questionnaire. The results showed a significant positive effect of independent variables called intensity, intended loyalty and influence of socially responsible firms on dependent variables which is consumers’ actual buying behaviour. Regression analysis was carried out to arrive at the result. In addition to this, the study also found that Indian consumers are aware about the CSR activities of the organizations. The result also indicated that CSR is one of the determining factors while purchasing any product or services.
