The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the length of weight, the growth patterns and the biological conditions of freshwater crayfish, Cherax quadricarinatus, in two different locations namely river and lake.  Sampling in Ralik river of Southeast Minahasa, used a sibu-sibu fishing gear (salapa) by traversing the river (opposite the current) from the point of the pick up location until the sampling point taken. As for sampling at Tondano Lake of Minahasa, it was carried out by buying directly from local fishermen who used bubu as a fishing tool. Furthermore, samples from these two locations were analyzed at the Freshwater Bioecology Laboratory of FPIK UNSRAT Manado. The results obtained from this study are the linear equation of the relationship of the length of weight in the river for male lobsters W = -1.761049+ 3.1153 log L, and W = -1.647836 + 2.957268 log L for female lobsters; in the lake W = -1,494 + 2,8495 log L for males and females W = -1,388 + 2,7198 log L. The growth pattern of male and female lobsters in river and males in the lake is isometric; whereas females in allometric lakes. The value of the biological condition of the river male losbters ranged from 0.90 to 1.14 with an average value of 1.004 ± 0.06, whereas in lake male lobster the value of the condition factor ranged from 0.83 to 1.23 with an average value of 1.004 ± 0.09. The value of the condition of river female lobsters with a range between 0.82-1.18 with an average value of 1.004 ± 0.89 and the condition factor of lake female lobsters ranged from 0.90 to 1.11 with an average value of 1.001 ± 0.06. This shows that the body condition of a fat lobsters were good enough. Keywords: Freshwater Lobster, Long-weight, Growth pattern, Factor of biological conditions. The size composition, length-weight relationship, and condition factor of Thunnus albacares were examined in Bone Bay. Sampling was conducted at two stations, i.e., Station I at Cimpu in Luwu Regency and Station II at Lonrae in Bone Regency between July 2018 and June 2019. 10246 and 2651 yellowfin tunas were captured in Station I and Station II, respectively. Measurement of the fork length ranged between 20 cm and 192 cm with an average length of 81,257 ± 33,456 cm in Station I, and between 26 to 162 cm with an average length of 95,479 cm in Station II. The weight measurement ranged between 0,35 and 99,21 kg with an average of 14,539 kg in Station I, and between 0,46 and 97,35 kg with an average of 26,978 kg in Station II. Calculation of the relationship was based on the formula W= 5,5−5FL2,7454 (R2 = 0,963) in Station I, and W=4,1−5FL2,9103 (R2 = 0,761) in Station II. The values of condition factor at Station I and Station II were 2,1395 and 3,4374, respectively. It is quite evident that the growth pattern of the yellowfin tunas at Bone Bay was negatively allometric, indicating that the length increased faster than the weight.

Mud crab is one of fishery commodities which is important in Indonesia . The high demand for mud crabs needs to be balanced with the right management strategy,  so that the population will not extinction.  Penikel Village, Cilacap is one of the fishing villages which catch mud crabs because of the high demand in the big cities such as Jakarta, Bandung and Bali.  The purpose of this study is  to determine the population and growth patterns of mud crabs in the Panikel Village, Kampung Laut District, Cilacap. The location of the study was determined by purposive sampling. Wadong and bubu are fishing tools to catch mud crabs. Sampling 67 mud crabs was carried out  on Juni 2016, after that, measurement of length, carapace width and total weight were carried out. Regression analysis between carapace width and total weight and condition factors were carried out to determine growth patterns. Based on the research, the average value of the S. serrata   length was 63.94±11.31 mm while the female one was 70.29±14.57 mm. The average value of carapace width is 92.28±15.51 mm (male) while for female sex was 98.71±18.38 mm. The average weight of S. serrata male crabs was 190.31±118.43 mm, while those of female sex were 210.77±120.93 mm. Furthermore, based on the analysis of the relationship between the length of weight found negative allomatric growth pattern with the value of the condition factor included in the low category both for male sex 0.73-1.93 and for female sex 0.59-1.66.  The low condition factor shows that the condition of Segara Anakan waters especially Penikel Village does not support the growth of mud crabs (S. serrata).

Abstract. Hasim, Tuheteru J, Fazrin DN. 2021. Comparison of growth pattern, condition factor, gonadosomatic index of Manggabai (Glosogobius giuris) and Payangka (Ophieleotris aporos) in Limboto Lake, Gorontalo, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 22: 3388-3393. Manggabai and Payangka are endangered native fishes in Limboto Lake due to continuous degradation in the lake. In addition, silting lake along with its area that continues to narrow can threaten the life of both fishes although the government has stipulated restoration of Limboto Lake as the ecosystem of the fishes. However, the current information on the fishes remains considerably limited in terms of making it as a conservation strategy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the total length and weight of Payangka and Manggabai. Furthermore, it analyzes the condition factors and the gonadosomatic index of the two fishes. The research method integrates survey and laboratory techniques. The fishes are collected by using trap made of bamboo and motorcycle tires that are installed for three days and the catches are 60 fishes including 30 Manggabai and 30 Payangka. Then the total length and weight of the fish and their gonad weight were measured. Data analysis used mathematical formulation of the relationship between total weight and length, condition factor, and gonadosomatic index. The result of the analysis shows that the growth pattern of the Manggabai was negative allometric whereas the Payangka was positive allometric. The condition factor for both types is generally less than 1.7. The gonadosomatic index of Manggabai ranges from 4.10-20.00% and Payangka ranges from 0.05-1.98%. These conditions indicate that differences in growth pattern, condition factor, and gonadosomatic index are different forms of response to environmental conditions and in the spawning season of both types of fish.
