English in the era Industrial Revolution 4.0 became the main requirement in various sectors. Indonesia educational fields gave attention for English subject so that became a local content subject in elementary school. In providing foreign language skills to elementary school children, it needs certain methods to suit their world. Learning English for elementary school children should be suitable for their needs, such learning through play, active learning, effective learning, and fun. The aim of community service is to know the learning methods that are more preffered by the elementary school children and to provide basic knowledge on kinds of material such ‘how to introduce your self’, ‘direction’, ‘5W + 1H’. From its activities, it is found that the learning methods that is most preffered by the female elementary school children are story telling method, while games method more chosen by the male of school age children. There is an increase in knowledge of participants related to basic material ‘how to introduce your self’, ‘direction’, ‘5W + 1H’, it is proven by the results of the post test that has been done. The knowledge value of participants as many as 15 elementary school age children before learning is ± 62.80 and after the community service is ± 80.33.Keywords: Learning English, elementary school age children, learning methods

Light-eyed individuals generally perform better at self-paced activities while dark-eyed individuals perform better at reactive activities. In throwing a ball at a target there were no differences between light- and dark-eyed elementary school-age children. Boys hit the target more times than did girls, and older children in upper grades hit the target more often than did younger children in lower grades.

Elementary school-age children still have the largest proportion of dental and oral health problems, one of which is caused by low knowledge about proper tooth brushing, knowledge can be increased through dental health education learning, including especially video media. The use of video media is considered to be able to increase the knowledge of correct brushing of teeth in elementary school children because it is able to display images and sounds so that children like it. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using video media in increasing the knowledge of proper brushing of teeth in elementary school children. This type of research is a literature review. The search for journals was carried out in 2015-2020 on the Google Scholar, DOAJ, PubMed database in English and Indonesian. The results of this study showed an increase in student's knowledge after counseling with video media from the medium category to the good category so that research using video media was more effective. It can be concluded that the use of video media is effective in increasing the knowledge of correct brushing of teeth in elementary school children. Anak usia sekolah dasar masih memiliki proporsi terbesar masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut, salah satunya yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya pengetahuan tentang menyikat gigi yang benar, pengetahuan dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran pendidikan kesehatan gigi termasuk khususnya media video. Penggunaan media video dinilai mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan menyikat gigi yang benar pada anak sekolah dasar karena mampu menampilkan gambar dan suara sehingga anak-anak menyukai. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media video dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan menyikat gigi yang benar pada anak sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah literature review. Pencarian jurnal dilakukan tahu 2015-2020 pada data base Google Scholar, DOAJ, PubMed dalam bahasa inggris dan indonesia Hasil penelitian ini adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa/i setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dengan media video dari kategori sedang menjadi kategori baik, sehingga penelitian menggunakan media video lebih efektif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media video efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan menyikat gigi yang benar pada anak sekolah dasar.

Background: The incidence of stunting in the Lapai Public Health Center has increased. The incidence of stunting in primary school-age children 6-12 years is a manifestation of stunting in infants, with 84 cases. Socio-Economic Level and Dietary Patterns are one of the factors that influence stunting. The aim of the study was to determine the socioeconomic and dietary patterns with the incidence of stunting in elementary school children in Lapai Public Health Center, Padang.Methods: This type of research is observational analytic with case-control study program. The study period was June 2019 with a sample of 19 cases and 19 controls. Data collection using questionnaires and univariate analysis using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency and percentage distributions while bivariate with chi-square test α 0.05.Results: From the results of the case group more than half (63.2%) of respondents have high socioeconomic status, more than half (63.2%) of respondents have good dietary patterns, there is no relationship between socioeconomic status with the stunting incidents and there is a meaningful relationship between dietary patterns and stunting incidents. From analysis, the OR value was 14 times the risk of stunting in elementary school children in Lapai Public Health Center.Conclusions: Dietary patterns in school-age children have an important role in improving nutritional status. It is recommended for families to pay attention to children's dietary patterns, adjust their diet according to schedule and accompany children when eating and to the health center to provide counselling to families to play a role in providing care for the child's eating.

Dietary habit is behaviors that are appropriate for the selection of the right foods so that they will provide good nutritional status. Nutrients that consist of macronutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and micro substances such as vitamins and minerals needed by the body for the process of growth and development. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between eating patterns with the nutritional status and cognitive abilities of elementary school children. Cross-Sectional research design. The population in this study were all students as many as 367 students, the sampling used was a Stratified random sampling technique, a sample of 192 respondents. Data analysis uses the Spearman Rank Rho statistical test. The results of the analysis of dietary variables with nutritional status were obtained ρ (0.003) <α (0.05), so H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a relationship between eating patterns and nutritional status of school-age children, with a value of r = 0.210 which showed a high positive correlation. The results of the analysis of nutritional status variables with cognitive abilities obtained results ρ = 0.00, <α = 0.05. meaning that there is a relationship between nutritional status and cognitive learning achievement in elementary school children. Normal nutritional status can be obtained by applying a positive diet so that the intake that enters the body in accordance with the needs of the body. Children who have normal nutritional status have good cognitive abilities. Parents are the most important support in optimizing children's growth and development

Background: The balanced  nutrition  paradigm is currently unknown  to  the  general public, especially school-age children. The old paradigm of four healthy five perfects is still taught in schools. Whereas in the new paradigm of balanced nutrition, in addition to the principle of nutrition that must be consumed in a balanced manner, there is another message that must be conveyed, namely physical activity at least 30 minutes every day, regular exercise, drinking 8 glasses of water a day, washing hands before and after eating and always monitor your weight. Purpose: This community service activity aims to improve balanced nutrition knowledge in elementary school age children. Method: The method of community service is through lectures and games for ice breaking so that the atmosphere becomes more fun. Results: Most of the students of SDN Kalisari 1 Surabaya were female (54%), 10 years old (62%), and parents had jobs in the “other” category namely construction workers, janitors and farm workers (38%). As many as 83% of students have breakfast habits and 88% of students often access the internet. The level of student’s knowledge of balanced nutrition is included in the sufficient category (59%). There is a difference in the level of knowledge before and after counseling about the concept of balanced nutrition (α = 0.04). Conclusion: Efforts to increase knowledge of balanced nutrition with counseling and game methods are considered effective because there is a significant increase in the level of knowledge of SDN Kalisari 1 Surabaya students.

This study investigated the alternate forms reliability of four type-token ratios (TTRs) of oral language samples obtained from 52 elementary school children (9 through 12 years of age). The four TTRs included the basic type-token ratio, the corrected type-token ratio, the root type-token ratio, and the bilogarithmic type-token ratio. Language samples of 600 words were segmented into 50-word, 100-word, and 200-word samples. Within each TTR measure, there were no significant differences among the means for samples of the same size, but all means for a given sample size differed significantly from the means of all other sample sizes. Further, for samples of the same size the reliability coefficients calculated for each TTR measure were neither consistent nor significant. These findings indicate that under the conditions of the present study TTRs are not comparable when calculated for different sample sizes ranging from 50 to 600 words, and further, that they are not reliable measures of the language performance of individual elementary school children from regular classrooms for language samples of 50 to 200 words.

Elementary school-age children are particularly vulnerable to infections. While handwashing is the best method of preventing infections, many elementary schools are housed in buildings that have barriers to effective hand hygiene. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of an alcohol gel as an adjunct to handwashing in reducing absenteeism secondary to infectious illness. Two-hundred and fifty-three elementary school children were randomized by classroom into an experimental or control group. With a crossover design, all children participated in both groups, with a one-week washout period between phases. A 45-minute “Germ Unit” was taught to all children as they started the experimental phase and a standard unit on hand hygiene was taught as they started the control phase. Sixty-nine children were absent due to illness while in the control group. Thirty-nine children became ill while in the experimental group. Alcohol gel as an adjunct to handwashing was shown to be effective in reducing absenteeism due to infectious illness by 43%.

The incidence of dental caries in children is very vulnerable because children have not been able to maintain dental and oral hygiene, one effort that can be done is to provide education in the form of how to brush teeth properly and correctly. The next step is to help the teeth to be more resistant to acid due to the acidogenic metabolism of plaque and food scraps, one of which can be done is smearing the teeth with a fluoride solution. This fluorine solution works or binds the arrangement of interpreting to become denser so that the acid from the results of metabolism by germs so that there is no demineralization of tooth enamel. This study aims to describe the effect of the application of SnF or NaF fluorine to Saliva pH of 9-14-year-old elementary school children in Pontianak City in 2018. The research method uses Explanatory Research, surveys with direct examination to apply SnF or NaF fluorine and salivary pH measurements with a paper indicator to see the pH of saliva. The type of research used is descriptive analytics, to see the average Saliva pH after fluorine application, see the effect of fluorine application, see the magnitude of the influence of R2 and see the level of verification. The test used in Regression. The results of the research conducted on 186 samples obtained the average data, namely female respondents as much as 52.2%, age of 11 years old elementary school children as much as 33.3%, Saliva 7 pH as much as 58.6%, fluorine application (R) effect amounted to .45, the amount of influence (R2) of fluorine application is 45% and Siq value. 0,000 <0,005. The conclusion is that the effect of the application of SnF or NaF fluorine to Saliva pH in elementary school age children aged 9-14 years with an average pH 7 (58.6%) with a magnitude of fluorine influence of 45%, the level of qualification is very strong because of the value siq. 0,000 <0,005.

Efforts to empower mosques are as centers for religious activities, education and social services. But in reality, the function of a mosque with a worldly dimension does not have a maximum role in the development of the Islamic ummah and civilization. In order to preserve and develop a mosque, innovative thoughts and ideas are needed as well as the willingness of all parties, especially its managers. The main problem of this research is how to empower elementary school children in the field of mosque-based religion in Bandorasa Wetan Village, Cilimus District, Kuningan Regency. The type of research used in this thesis is qualitative research, with the aim of knowing the empowerment of elementary school children in the field of mosque-based religion in Bandorasa Wetan Village, Cilimus District, Kuningan Regency by making previous observations and collecting data as well as interviews and documentation. The results of this study explain that community empowerment at the Great Mosque of Al-Huda, Bandorasa Wetan Village is able to foster and educate the community and children through mosque committee programs developed through the religious field, namely sunset recitation culture, congregational prayer movements, socio-religious competitions. and parenting activities. The research implication is for the general chairman of the great mosque al-Huda, Cilimus District along with representatives and members of the board in maintaining the performance that has been done and developing education, religious, social activities, especially for elementary school age children as an effort to discipline themselves and teaches the virtues of the mosque. Abstrak Upaya memberdayakan masjid adalah sebagai pusat kegiatan keagamaan, pendidikan dan layanan sosial. Namun dalam kenyataannya, fungsi masjid yang berdimensi duniawiyah kurang memiliki peran yang maksimal dalam pembangunan umat dan peradaban Islam. Dalam  rangka  untuk  melestarikan dan  mengembangkan  masjid   kiranya diperlukan pemikiran dan gagasan inovatif dan sekaligus kemauan semua pihak terutama para pengelolanya. Pokok permasalahan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pemberdayaan anak-anak usia SD dalam bidang keagamaan berbasis masjid di Desa Bandorasa Wetan Kecamatan Cilimus Kabupaten Kuningan.   Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pemberdayaan anak-anak usia SD dalam bidang keagamaan berbasis masjid di Desa Bandorasa Wetan Kecamatan Cilimus Kabupaten Kuningan dengan cara melakukan observasi sebelumnya dan mengumpulkan data serta wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat di Masjid Besar Al-Huda Desa Bandorasa Wetan mampu membina dan mendidik masyarakat dan anak-anak melalui program-program panitia masjid yang dikembangkan melalui bidang keagamaan yaitu budaya magrib mengaji, gerakan solat berjama’ah, lomba social keagamaan dan kegiatan parenting. Implikasi penelitian adalah kepada ketua umum masjid besar al-Huda Kecamatan Cilimus beserta dengan wakil dan anggota-anggota pengurus dalam mempertahankan kinerja-kinerja yang telah dilakukan dan mengembangkan edukasi, kegiatan keagamaan, sosial, khususnya untuk anak-anak usia SD sebagai upaya pendisiplinan diri dan mengajarkan muatan keutamaan masjid.
