In this industrial world, wide range of power operated machines is used for the production of springs. But this is the simple mechanism arrangement for the production of torsion and compression springs. This machine is operated by manual method. This machine can produce both the tension and compression springs of different Diameter and different length. It can make a spring with the help of the shaft. The wire which is used for producing the spring moves around the shaft to make a suitable spring. This self-movement is achieved by the keyway of the shaft. A handle is used to operate the rolling machine manually. The outer Diameter of the shaft is the inner Diameter of the spring. The torsion and compression spring is a mechanical device which is used to store energy and release it when needed.

In this experimental study, permanent magnets with three different sizes (M-1: 32 mm inner diameter, 70 mm outer diameter and 15 mm thick, M-2: 25 mm inner diameter, 60 mm outer diameter and 10 mm thick, M-3: 22 mm inner diameter, 45 mm outer diameter and 9 mm thick) are fully submerged in the single-slope glass solar still. The performance of magnetic solar stills (MSS) with three different sizes at 2 cm depth water to ensure that magnets are fully submerged is compared with conventional solar still (CSS) at the location 17.3850°N, 78.4867°E. Tiwari model is adapted to calculate the heat transfer coefficients (HTC), internal and exergy efficiencies. MSS with M-1, M-2 and M-3 significantly enhanced the convective, radiative, and evaporative heat transfer rate for the 2 cm depth of water. This is due to the desired magnetic treatment of water, which reduces the surface tension and increases the hydrogen bonds. The MSS's total internal HTC, instantaneous efficiencies led CSS by 25.52%, 28.8%, respectively, with M-1. Having various magnetic fields due to different magnets sizes increases MSS's exergetic efficiency by 33.61% with M-1, 33.76% with M-2, and 42.25% with M-3. Cumulative yield output for MSS with M-1, M-2, and M-3 is 21.66%, 17.64%, 15.78% higher than CSS. The use of permanent magnets of different sizes in the MSS is a viable, economical and straight forward technique to enhance productivity.

A two-dimensional axisymmetric thermal-fluid-solid coupled mathematical model of a contact mechanical seal is established. The finite difference method is used to solve the control equations for the fluid pressure and temperature of the seal end face, and the finite element method is used to determine the thermal deformation state of the seal. The seal’s performance at different working speeds was studied and verified by experiments. The results show that under the combined actions of thermal and mechanical deformations, the seal end face forms a convergent leakage gap from the outer diameter to the inner diameter. The minimum film thickness is observed on the inner diameter side of the seal end face, and the highest end face temperature coincides with this location. With increasing working speed, the contact force at the inner diameter side increases, the temperature difference between the inner diameter and the outer diameter of the end face increases, and the leakage rate correspondingly increases. The numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results. The model and calculation method can be applied to other forms of mechanical seal design and optimization.

Advanced Models and Algorithms for Self-Similar IP Network Traffic Simulation and Performance Analysis The paper examines self-similar (or fractal) properties of real communication network traffic data over a wide range of time scales. These self-similar properties are very different from the properties of traditional models based on Poisson and Markov-modulated Poisson processes. Advanced fractal models of sequentional generators and fixed-length sequence generators, and efficient algorithms that are used to simulate self-similar behavior of IP network traffic data are developed and applied. Numerical examples are provided; and simulation results are obtained and analyzed.

As mechanisms approach the micro scale, manufacture and assembly of linear coil springs becomes nearly impossible. For this reason, compliant functionally binary pinned-pinned segments are frequently used in place of them. A new pseudo-rigid-body model (PRBM) is presented for circular functionally binary pinned-pinned (FBPP) segments that undergo large, nonlinear deflections for both tension and compression. A new method of evaluating the maximum moment in the beam is presented, called the focal moment method, which significantly increases the accuracy of the force for a given displacement. This paper also shows how some FBPP segments can be modeled as simple linear tension/compression springs. The deflection limits for a given maximum error can be determined analytically, thereby making it possible to use optimization algorithms in the design of these springs. The effect of the size of the rigid pin joints is also discussed.

Corona Discharge have been recorded in pin-to pin electrode at gas pressure gaps with high degree of non-uniformity electric field. For a wide range of experimental applicability the pin to pin electrode was used over pressure range from 1bar to 3bar and gap spacing from 0 to 5mm.High –pressure dc corona discharge experiments have been carried out in a 16cm long glass chamber with an inner diameter and outer diameter are 16.8cm, and 19cm respectively. Corona onset voltage and breakdown voltages were reached. The design considerations of the setup allow to use pin to pin electrode type geometries. Electronegative gases such as air, Freon (R22), were separately used for low temperature corona generation. The experiments have been carried out under ambient Laboratory conditions of temperature (19-24 oC), and humidity. The present experiment were studies the relation between the (V-P) and (V-d), on other hand, we study the relation between the current and applied voltage.

Abstract To make solar energy conversion more effective and enable effective complementary utilization of multiple energy sources, two types of solar-coal-fired complementary power (SCCP) systems, which use the supercritical CO2 (S-CO2) Brayton cycle, are investigated and their layouts improved. In addition, a thermodynamic performance analysis is carried out. The results show that, as the amount of work done by the solar energy module increases, the coal saving rate increases linearly and proportionally in both SCCP systems. Also, the supplementary electric power generated by the solar field increases. The two improved layouts increase the net efficiency of the SCCP systems significantly (SCCP1: from 43.60% to 47.65, SCCP2: from 43.60% to 47.67%). More specifically, the net efficiency of the improved layout for SCCP2 increases faster than that for SCCP1 (with its improved layout), when the second split ratio (SR2) exceeds 0.031. When the net efficiency remains unchanged, the SR2 for SCCP2 improved layout has a wide range. Furthermore, both the operation performance and operating-mode conversion of the basic system are studied for varying sunlight-conditions. The simulation results are consistent with the expectations, which underlines the development potential of the system to a certain extent.
