One of the common problems faced by visually challenged people is their inability to travel alone in public transport services like bus. They have to depend on others to identify the bus at the bus stops. This scenario should be changed. It’s the role of engineers to bring the change in the lives of visually challenged people. A low cost bus alert system for visually challenged people using Radio Frequency (RF) technology is proposed in this paper. Once the appropriate bus arrives near the visually challenged person, he/she will be intimated about the arrival of the bus by an audio message. If the blind person decides to board the bus he can acknowledge the driver by pressing the acknowledgement button in his module. The bus driver will get acknowledged by LED indicator near his cabin. With the help of this project visually challenged commuters can transit without the aid of fellow commuters and their need to depend on others for public transport transit can be reduced

The role of public transport services is crucial in ensuring mobility. The Sultanate of Oman has shown a remarkable growth in the last three decades in almost all areas except in the development of public transport infrastructure and services. Currently, Public transportation is a pressing concern for Oman and is attracting much attention, especially in light of increasing traffic congestion and safety concerns. This research followed a public needs assessment and opinion survey approach and covered 2000 respondents in the Al Batinah region of Oman. A quantitative analysis was initially performed using the SPSS, which was later followed by a qualitative analysis. The specific objectives were to conduct a socio-economic feasibility analysis towards the establishment of an effective public transport system in Oman and to study residents’ requirements, sharing habits, traveling behaviors, expenditure and expectations towards public transport in Oman. The study concludes that public transportation in Oman is still in its infancy, and the introduction of a public transport system has taken an unusually long time. People realize the need for a better system, but their knowledge of different transport modes and their use is very limited. People’s attitudes towards using public transport are positive; however, they much prefer to use their own cars. The nearest substitute to the personal car is the taxi, which largely fulfills the role of public transport, barring very few bus lines. On the socio-economic front, this study does not find any major obstacles to the adoption and use of public transportation in Oman.

Now a day’s wildlife entering in to the populated area has become one of the common problems. This issue arises due to the decrease in the leaving area of the wild animals. It makes incredible loss to property when wild animals enter in to the living area. In this paper, a low cost monitoring system has been proposed using IOT. The system tracks the images that are entering to the farming land and by using MATLAB the entered animal is get confirmed. After that an alert has been generated by using GPRS and GSM. It also threats the wild animal by means of arising alarm. That is, the proposed system sends SMS to the land owner and it also threat the animal by raising alarm and not allowing the wild animal to enter the farming land.

The intense growth of cities affects their inhabitants to a considerable extent. The issues facing the traveling population include congestion and growing harmful emissions. Urban transport requires changes towards eco-friendly solutions. However, even though new forms of traveling (sharing services) are being implemented, their integration with public transport remains problematic. On account of the large number of available services combined with the absence of their integration, city inhabitants are faced with the dilemma of choosing between one or several transport modes which would enable them to make the given trip. The main goal of this article is to propose a model for integration of different transport services which could support those who intend to travel in the decision-making process. Therefore, the parameters of a model of urban sharing services were identified and classified. The parameters discussed in the paper with reference to an extensive literature review describe how individual sharing services are functioning. What has also been identified is the location-specific factors as well as those related to the potential area of operation which affect the integration with public transport. In order to take all the relevant parameters into account and find a solution to the problem at hand, a multi-criteria decision-making approach has been proposed. To this end, scores and weights determining their impact on the model have been established. For purposes of the solution in question, the relevant calculations were conducted by referring to an actual need to travel between selected locations.

Abstract:

In the present contribution, the British public passenger transport deregulation experience is analyzed. Initially, the discussions which put into question the common role of State with respect to these services (strong regulation, subsidies and even direct operation by government) are resumed. The measures taken by the British Government in order to reintroduce market orientation into the sector and also their justifications are then described. In a further section, the evaluations made by several studies on deregulation experience are systemized with respect to urban, intercity rural transport. After this description, the opinions and positions put after the ion of the deregulation experiation are resumed. Finally and conclusively, the author puts some questions on the economic and institutional structure of the public transport sector.

Introduction. Such variables as number of employees in marketing of organisation, value of marketing expenses, cost on innovation, the number of marketing staff, the share of marketing efforts which is undertaken in cooperation with the city council and different non-profit organizations, the marketing costs, the level of satisfaction of marketers, level of marketing potential, level of innovation potential are considered in this research. They are marketing factors that can affect the level of social impact of Ukrainian providers of urban public transport services. Purpose. The article aims to obtain the adequate econometric model which can demonstrate the relationship between marketing factors, innovation development and the non-economic effect of business entities which provide the urban public transport services. Method (methodology). The results of evaluation of social effect of Ukrainian providers of urban public transport services are evaluated on the basis of mathematical multifactor model. They are presented in the article. Results. The adequate econometric model has been worked out in this research. This model shows the relationship between controllable marketing factors and social effect has been presented in the article. We have determined the controllable marketing factors. They are number of employees and volunteers in marketing, the average monthly wage of employees in marketing, satisfaction of volunteers, total current assets of an organization, and the level of marketing potential. The model can be used to predict the level of social (ecological) impact of providers of urban public transport services in the Ukrainian society.
