Chicken broiler is the main commodities and largest in Indonesia, where Kampar district into production centre in the province of Riau. According to the company's partners, breeder who partnered with the pattern contract farming hasn't been able to combine the use of livestock production facilities as well as labor. This resulted in not maximizing the profits obtained by breeders. The purpose of the research was to analyze broiler chicken farming and analyze the efficiency of broiler chicken production. Analytical method used is the analysis method of broiler chicken flocks and the DEA method. Respondents needed is 40 farmers who have partnered with the contract farming pattern. The results showed that the production costs of Rp.180.031.229 /period, revenue Rp.203.573.865/period, so that the profit amounting to Rp 23.542.636/period with R/C ratio of 1.13. The results of the efficiency analysis show that inefficient farmers are more numerous than those who have been efficient. It showed breeders hasn't been able to use the minimum input produce output that is optimal and maximum profit.

The aim of this research was to evaluate the level of greenhouse gas emission from broiler chicken farming industry in Malaysia. In order to achieve that, Life Cycle Assessment method was chosen as a framework to complete the task. A case study was conducted at a broiler chicken farm to gather the data and information related to the broiler chicken production. Cradle-to-gate assessment including distribution stage was conducted based on the ISO14040/1044 guidelines. Inventory data for this case study was gathered in collaboration with one of the selected case study broiler chicken farm company. Greenhouse gas emission that consists of several most affected gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide was studied. Result shows that the highest carbon dioxide emission came from manure, which accounted for 1,665,342 kg CO2 equivalent per total broilers while the highest methane emission came from feed, which accounted for 126,207.84 g CH4 equivalent per total broilers. For nitrous oxide emission, the highest values came from bedding which accounted for 20,316.87 g N2O equivalent per total broilers in the commercial modern broiler chicken farm. In this case study, it can be concluded that manure gives the most prominent effect to the greenhouse gas emission followed by feed and bedding materials.

Spatial is one issue that is important in assessing the concept of entrepreneurship. Interest studied the problems of spatial and entrepreneurship is to create business growth, through the support of business locations atmosphere, leading to the creation of entrepreneurial activity. The purpose of this study to (1) identify the determining factors of the characteristics of the zone; (2) to analyze the influence of the characteristics of the zone of entrepreneurial activity; (3) Analyze the effects of entrepreneurial activity on the growth of broiler chicken farm. The research was conducted by survey method, conducted in three zones in Jambi province with a total sample of 140 farmers. The results showed (1) Characteristics of the zone formed by the spatial characteristics, enterprises and entrepreneurs. (2) Characteristics of significant zones of direct and positive effect on entrepreneurial activity (3) entrepreneurial activities significantly affect the growth of broiler chicken farm, both of which have a positive relationship. In other words, the growth of the business acquired, occur because of the encouragement of entrepreneurial activity increased farmers.

The broiler chicken farm at RRMC has good maintenance management and feeding procedures. The productivity level of the livestock had been achieved and it meets the standard market weight of 2 kg for one maintenance period of 35 days. The shape of the coop in the RRMC is a semi-monitor whose coop location faces the rising sun, so the chicken can get direct morning sunlight. Preparation of the coop at the time of DOC comes is very important because the coop should be sterile from various seeds of disease. Whether it comes from fungi, viruses, bacteria and protozoa. In addition, during maintenance, employees must be diligent in controlling the existing chicken in the coop and see the condition of feed and drink that must be given ad libitum in order to produce the ideal body weight according to the wishes of the entrepreneur and its customers. The results of the research, it can be concluded that maintenance management in RRMC very clear and in accordance with existing procedures, whether it is feeding, handling of diseases affected by disease, vaccine and drugs.

ABSTRACTImproved understanding of the ecology and epidemiology ofCampylobacterin the poultry farm environment is key to developing appropriate farm-based strategies for preventing flock colonization. The sources ofCampylobactercausing broiler flock colonization were investigated on one poultry farm and its environment, from which samples were obtained on three occasions during each of 15 crop cycles. The farm was adjacent to a dairy farm, with which there was a shared concreted area and secondary entrance. There was considerable variation in theCampylobacterstatus of flocks at the various sampling times, at median ages of 20, 26, and 35 days, with 3 of the 15 flocks remaining negative at slaughter. Campylobacters were recoverable from various locations around the farm, even while the flock wasCampylobacternegative, but the degree of environmental contamination increased substantially once the flock was positive. Molecular typing showed that strains from house surroundings and the dairy farm were similar to those subsequently detected in the flock and that several strains intermittently persisted through multiple crop cycles. The longitudinal nature of the study suggested that bovine fecalCampylobacterstrains, initially recovered from the dairy yard, may subsequently colonize poultry. One such strain, despite being repeatedly recovered from the dairy areas, failed to colonize the concomitant flock during later crop cycles. The possibility of host adaptation of this strain was investigated with 16-day-old chickens experimentally exposed to this strain naturally present in, or spiked into, bovine feces. Although the birds became colonized by this infection model, the strain may preferentially infect cattle. The presence ofCampylobactergenotypes in the external environment of the poultry farm, prior to their detection in broiler chickens, confirms the horizontal transmission of these bacteria into the flock and highlights the risk from multispecies farms.

The purpose of this study is to determine the income of broiler chicken breeders in contract and semi-contract systems in Kampar Regency and analyze the comparison of broiler chicken breeder income between broiler systems and semi-contract systems in Kampar Regency. Broiler chicken business with a pattern of partnership has spread in entire of Indonesia, one of them is in Riau Province. The largest population of broiler chickens in Riau Province is in Kampar Regency. Commonly, there are two the broiler chicken farms partnership patterns in Kampar District, namely the contract system and and semi- contract system between the broiler farmer and poultry companies or poultry shop. The contract system is a binding agreements between the parties relating to the both of the input production’s price and the arvesting’s price, while the semi-contract are not bound in term of both of the input production’s price and the arvesting’s price. The objective of the study is analyzed comparison of broiler chicken farm income between contracts system and semi-contract system. The study conducted in Kampar Districtby using survey method for 40 broiler chicken farmer. The results of study shows that the average net income of the broiler farmer on the contract system is lower than the semi contrct system, which is IDR 13.910.273,61for compared to IDR 21.387.673,94. The semi contract broiler chicken farm business is more efficient (RCR=1.12) compared to the contract system (RCR=1.08).

This study aims to determine the mechanism of cooperation between the business of broiler chicken in Blang Raleue Village, Simpang Kramat Subdistrict. Overview of the Islamic Economy on the mechanism of cooperation between the business of the three-broiler chicken in Blang Raleue Village, Simpang Kramat Sub-district. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. To obtain data the author uses observation and interview techniques. The type of data used is primary data obtained directly from the business owner of the three-piece broiler chicken in Blang Raleue Village, Simpang Kramat District. Secondary data obtained from notes, books, journals and others related to the problems that the authors examine. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative, namely data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the contents of the cooperation contract in the three-broiler chicken farm in the Blang Raleue Village of Simpang Kramat Subdistrict have not fully complied with the syirkah concept. But there are also some contents of the cooperation contract that are in accordance with the concept of syirkah.
