The students at Senior High School are teenagers. They were easy to feel bored if teacher taught them by a conventional method. They love to learn everything by a fun way. In this case, the writer tries to improve their ability in mastery English vocabulary, which vocabulary is something important to be learnt. It is one element to sharp the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing all together. The writer takes a research about this case. This study is mainly aimed to identify the improvement of student's vocabulary mastery through Talking Stick for the tenth grade students of SMA NEGERI 2 KABUPATEN SORONG in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research is a classroom action research. The methods of collecting data are observation, interview, test instrument and field notes. Then, the writer analyzes them in descriptive and statistical technique. This study takes two cycles. After did two cycles, the writer get a result. Both in the cycle I and cycle II, score of post-test are higher than pre-test. Then, the percentage of students’ mastery also improve, while in the first cycle there were only 41% students who could pass the target score of the Minimal Mastery Level Criterion (KKM). In the second cycle, there were 72% students who could pass the target score. Then from the questioner respond, it seems that students interested in learning vocabulary through Talking Stick. These all results indicate that there was significant improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery through Talking Stick for the tenth grade students of SMA NEGERI 2 Kabupaten Sorong in the academic year of 2016 /2017.

The research was pointed to progress the students’ speaking abilities of the tenth of  SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan by actualizing the role-play technique. It was carried out based on the strategy that had been arranged some time recently. The observation was action research. It was conducted in three cycles with one assembly in the to begin with cycle and 2 gatherings in the moment and third cycle. The subjects of this inquire about were 32 students of lesson tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan. The subjective information were collected by watching the educating and learning handle, and meeting the students, the instructor and the collaborators. The information were in the shape of field notes, meet transcripts, and photos. In the interim, the quantitative information were collected through evaluating the students’ speaking execution by comparing the implies of the pretest and post test. The information were the students’ speaking ability. The strategy of the inquire about comprised of surveillance, arranging, acting, and reflecting. The comes about of this inquire about appeared that the utilize of Part Playing procedure was effective to move forward the students’ talking capacity. Based on the subjective information, the utilize of classroom English made a difference the understudies to be more recognizable with English. The lexicon and elocution hones and part play exhibitions too made a difference them to improve their lexicon information and construct their exactness.

 This study aims to determine the implementation of flash card media in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery. This research is included in classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class X IIS 2 Muhammadiyah 5 High School in Yogyakarta academic year 2017/2018. The method used to collect data is observation, tests, documentation, and field notes. The results showed an increase in vocabulary mastery after the use of flash card as a learning medium. The increase can be seen from the pre-test value and the post-test value. The average value of the first cycle class between pre test and post test showed an increase in value of 48 points from the average grade of 30 points in the pre test to 78 points in the test post. so that it can be seen that there is an increase in Arabic vocabulary mastery before and after the action. The increase has not been significant because the average grade is still below the indicator of success. And the average grade in the second cycle between pre-test and post-test shows an increase in value of 70 points from the average grade of 15 points in the pre-test to 85 points in the post-test value. Keywords: Media Flash Card, Arabic Vocabulary

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan meningkatnya keterampilan menulis deskripsi berbahasa Jawa siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Kebumen dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses dan media foto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas atau classroom action research. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian tindakan Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X2 SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, catatan lapangan dan tes. Validitas yang digunakan adalah validitas demo-krasi, validitas proses dan validitas dialogis. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian tindakan ini adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) siswa dapat menemukan ide lebih cepat, (2) siswa dapat membuat kerangka karangan, (3) siswa dapat mengembangkan kerang-ka karangan, (4) siswa dapat berpikir sistematis, (5) siswa semakin antusiasnya dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis karangan, (6) siswa paham melakukan proses mengarang. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHOTOGRAPH MEDIA TO IMPROVE THE DESCRIPTION WRITING SKILL OF THE STUDENTS AT SMA NEGERI 2 KEBUMEN   Abstract This research is aimed to describe and to explain the improvement in the description writing skill of the tenth grade students at SMA N 2 Kebumen by using  approach process and photography media. This research is classroom action research or classroom action research. The design used in this research was action research design by Kemmis and Taggart. The subject of the research was X2 class students at SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen in the academic year of 2011/2012, consisted of 32 students. The data collection was done by using observation, field notes and description during the time of the learning activity and also tests (pre test and post test). The validity used was democratic validity because the researcher truthfully collaborated either with the teacher and the students, the research also used process validity, marked by accuracy in the research process and dialogic validity can be shown that the research was implemented by having dialogue with the teacher and the collaborator to seek for critics and suggestion. Reliability in this action research was based on contextual and situational and localized. The technique used to analyze the data in this action research was descriptive. The monitoring on the learning process shows that (1) the students can find ideas faster, (2) the students can make essay framework, (3) the students can develop essay framework, (4) the students can think systematically, (5) the students are more enthusiastic in attending the learning of writing essay, (6) the students understand the process of writing essay. The research was aimed to investigate the use of diary writing to overcome students’ problem in writing recount texts. The problems include writing a recount text in chronological order, writing correct verb changes and developing ideas. Classroom action research was conducted by applying diary as the technique to help students overcome their problem. There were two cycles conducted in this research. The data were taken from the students’ individual score, observation checklist, and field notes. The result showed that teaching writing through diary writing improved students’ writing recount text. Referring to the research findings, the data showed that diary writing improved students’ recount text, as seen in their score. These in terms of score, students’ improved from 71.96 to 76.03 and improving the motivation to the students which makes them eager to write also makes the teaching learning process better. In conclusions, students’ writing recount text of the tenth grade students of class IPS 1 of SMAN 4 Sungai Raya in academic year 2018/2019 improved by using diary.

This research aimed to improve the students’ speaking skill in English lesson by puppets games. This research was conducted by using Quasi-Experimental. The subject of this research was Class X MIPA of SMA Perjuangan Depok 2018/2019 academic year, which consisted of 29 students. The objective of this research was to teaching students’ speaking skill in English Lesson by using Puppets Games at Ten Grade of SMA Perjuangan Depok. The data were gathered through quantitative and qualitative data. The result of this research showed that there was increasing of students in speaking skill. The mean of pre-test was 58.34. The mean of post-test was 77. Based on the result analysis, it can be concluded that there was a significance using puppets games in teaching speaking at tenth grade senior high school. The result showed that the result of T-test calculation is 13.090 more higher than T-table 5%, it gained score 2.045. Therefore, it can be conclude that teaching speaking using puppets games is effective to improve speaking skill at the tenth grade of SMA Perjuangan Depok. The results of this study are expected to be useful to related parties such as principals, teachers, parents, students and further researchers.

This research was primarily conducted to prove that the application of Dictogloss technique could enhance the vocabulary mastery of the eleventh grade students of SMA Deli Murni Bandar Baru Bonaventura Class in the Academic Year of 2020/2021 and to describe their responses towards the application of Dictogloss technique in the process of learning vocabulary mastery. This research is Classroom Action Research which was perfomed in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four meetings. The quantitative data analysis showed that the students mean score increased continually from 44,16 in pre-test, 59,17 in formative test, and 70,83 in post-test. And the percentage of the students who passed the mastery minimum criteria from pre-test to post-test is 60,39%. The qualitative data analysis showed that the students responses after being taught by using Dictogloss technique. It can be seen from observation sheets and field notes; they felt more enthusiastic and motivated to learn vocabulary mastery after Dictogloss technique was applied. The questionnaire data also showed that students are agree with the application of using Dictogloss technique and found it effective in teaching vocabulary mastery. It is suggested that English teachers using Dictogloss technique as an alternative media in teaching vocabulary to the students in Senior High School in order to enhance their students’ vocabulary mastery.

The objective of this research was to improve students’ English speaking competency by using podcast in teaching and learning. The subject of the research was the speaking competency of the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Amlapura, i.e. X MIA 1 class. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. There were two kinds of data collected, the qualitative data were obtained from the questionnaires and observation checklist. The quantitative data were collected by conducting pre-test and post-test. The result of study showed that the main score of the students’ English speaking competency gained on the pre-test was 60.43, on the post-test 1 was 72.46 and on post-test 2 was 79.78 and 83.33% of students could pass the standard minimum score. It can be concluded that the students’ English speaking competency could be improved by using podcast in English teaching and learning.

Abstract This study is revealed based on  the observation on the tenth grade of X HT 1 Sangkuriang 2 Vocational High School.  The subjects of this study were consisted of 31 students. This study was aimed to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery using Cooperative Script Method. The research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which following from Kemmis and Taggart model. It is used to obtain the results of quantitative and qualitative data using 2 cycles described through planning, action, observation, and reflection on each cycle. The result of the study showed that there was a development on the student’s vocabulary mastery. It could be seen from the result of the test. The Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of English lesson was 70.  The students mean score in the pre test was 50,  in the first post test the mean score was 65, and in the second post test the mean score was 85. In addition there were 2 students (6,4%) who passed KKM on pre test. In the first pretest there were 9 students (29,03%) who passed KKM. In the second pretest there were 29 students (93,55%) who passed KKM. Then, from the result of field notes and interview it showed the positive responses from the students. The students can be more active and improve their ideas. The researcher conclude that Cooperative Script method could improve student’s vocabulary mastery. Keywords:  Vocabulary, Cooperative Script, Descriptive Text, CAR

Polite Javanese language skills of students of class IXF Junior High School 1 Lasem Semester 1 Academic Year 2018/2918 are not optimal. Students’ enthusiasm and interest in learning polite Javanese language are still lacking. It is proven from the result of polite Javanese language skills that have not reached the expected target that was 74, 62. It is also proven by the failure to achieve the average mark of polite Javanese language skills of class IXF Junior High School 1 Lasem based on Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) set by the school that was 80. For the reason, the researcher tried to apply Palu model (Pacelathon Bocah Wolu) in learning activities in an effort to improve polite Javanese language skills. The data sources in this Classroom Action Research are students of class IXF Junior High School 1 Lasem totaling 32 students. This Classroom Action Research aims to find out whether Palu model can improve polite Javanese language skills of students of class IXF Junior High School 1 Lasem or not. This research includes two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data in this research were obtained trough test and non-test instruments. The test instrument is a polite Javanese language skills test. While the non-test instruments include guidelines for observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the research showed that polite Javanese language skills of class IXF Junior High School 1 Lasem had increased. The result is proven from the average of polite Javanese language skill mark at 79,75 in the first cycle, increasing to 86,18 in the second cycle. With an increase of 6,43. Meanwhile, the completeness of students is 50% in the first cycle, increasing 50% in the second cycle, with a percentage of completeness of 100%. This increase was followed by the changes of students’ attitude who were increasingly enthusiastic, active, brave, and expressive in polite Javanese language skills learning taught by Palu model.
