Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan meningkatnya keterampilan menulis deskripsi berbahasa Jawa siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Kebumen dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses dan media foto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas atau classroom action research. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian tindakan Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X2 SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, catatan lapangan dan tes. Validitas yang digunakan adalah validitas demo-krasi, validitas proses dan validitas dialogis. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian tindakan ini adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) siswa dapat menemukan ide lebih cepat, (2) siswa dapat membuat kerangka karangan, (3) siswa dapat mengembangkan kerang-ka karangan, (4) siswa dapat berpikir sistematis, (5) siswa semakin antusiasnya dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis karangan, (6) siswa paham melakukan proses mengarang. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHOTOGRAPH MEDIA TO IMPROVE THE DESCRIPTION WRITING SKILL OF THE STUDENTS AT SMA NEGERI 2 KEBUMEN   Abstract This research is aimed to describe and to explain the improvement in the description writing skill of the tenth grade students at SMA N 2 Kebumen by using  approach process and photography media. This research is classroom action research or classroom action research. The design used in this research was action research design by Kemmis and Taggart. The subject of the research was X2 class students at SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen in the academic year of 2011/2012, consisted of 32 students. The data collection was done by using observation, field notes and description during the time of the learning activity and also tests (pre test and post test). The validity used was democratic validity because the researcher truthfully collaborated either with the teacher and the students, the research also used process validity, marked by accuracy in the research process and dialogic validity can be shown that the research was implemented by having dialogue with the teacher and the collaborator to seek for critics and suggestion. Reliability in this action research was based on contextual and situational and localized. The technique used to analyze the data in this action research was descriptive. The monitoring on the learning process shows that (1) the students can find ideas faster, (2) the students can make essay framework, (3) the students can develop essay framework, (4) the students can think systematically, (5) the students are more enthusiastic in attending the learning of writing essay, (6) the students understand the process of writing essay. The research was pointed to progress the students’ speaking abilities of the tenth of  SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan by actualizing the role-play technique. It was carried out based on the strategy that had been arranged some time recently. The observation was action research. It was conducted in three cycles with one assembly in the to begin with cycle and 2 gatherings in the moment and third cycle. The subjects of this inquire about were 32 students of lesson tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan. The subjective information were collected by watching the educating and learning handle, and meeting the students, the instructor and the collaborators. The information were in the shape of field notes, meet transcripts, and photos. In the interim, the quantitative information were collected through evaluating the students’ speaking execution by comparing the implies of the pretest and post test. The information were the students’ speaking ability. The strategy of the inquire about comprised of surveillance, arranging, acting, and reflecting. The comes about of this inquire about appeared that the utilize of Part Playing procedure was effective to move forward the students’ talking capacity. Based on the subjective information, the utilize of classroom English made a difference the understudies to be more recognizable with English. The objectives of the research were to find out whether snakes and ladders game can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery and to describe the class atmosphere when the snakes and ladders game is implemented in the class. The research was carried out at elementary school in  Karangmojo. The approach used in this research was a classroom action research. It was conducted from May 2014 to June 2014. The subject of the research was the fifth grade of an elementary school in Karangmojo in the academic year of 2013/2014. The researcher collected the data using qualitative and quantitative method. The result of this research showed that the use of snakes and ladders game could improve the students’ vocabulary mastery and class atmosphere. The improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery included; the students could understand the meaning of word, pronounce the words correctly,  spell the vocabulary correctly , and  use the words in appropriate context of situation. The improvement of class atmosphere included; the students’ interest toward the material increased, they were active during the lesson, and could work in group and individually. The students’ mean scores improved which could be seen from their mean score of pre-test (59.2), post-test 1 in cycle 1 (69.1), and also post-test 2 in cycle 2 (77.6).

Stirred Word and Sentences is a strategy that used to improve students’ writing skill for eighth grade students of MTs. Ma’arif Sukosari. The purpose of this research was to find out how the improvement of students’ writing skill by using Stirred Word and Sentences for the eighth grade students of MTs. Ma’arif Sukosari in academic year 2017/2018. The subject of this research was students of the eighth grade class VIII B in MTs. Ma’arif Sukosari which consisted of 15 students. This research was conducted Classroom Action Research (CAR) that consisted of two cycles, in each cycle consisted of two meetings and four stages, there were: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The researcher used three instruments in this research, there were: Observation Checklist, Questionnaire and Test. Based on the result of this research, the implementation of Stirred Word and Sentences could improve students’ writing skill at the eighth grade students of MTs. Ma’arif Sukosari in academic year 2017/2018. It was seen from the result of Observation Checklist was 55 % in cycle I up to 85 % in cycle II, it meant the students was active. The questionnaire’s result showed that the students were interested in this method. It can be seen from total of questionnaire I was 66.7 % and the questionnaire II was 91.1 %. The students’ percentage who reached minimum standard of passing grade in cycle I was 53.3 % and in cycle II was 100 %, it meant this research was successful.

The objective of this research was to find out the improvement of content and organization in writing skill by using Sedona Method at the Tenth Grade Students of SMA Batara, Gowa. The researcher used A Classroom Action Research (CAR). The Researcher had conducted two cycles, where each cycle consisted of four meetings. This classroom Action Research (CAR) was at The Eighth Grade of SMA Batara Gowa, Class XB. As the subject in this research was the X Grade with students’ number as about 29 students. The instruments were writing test and observation sheet. The application of Sedona Method can improve the students’ writing, especially in content and organization. This leads to the conclusion that application of Sedona Method was needed in the English Language teaching and learning in improve their competence to organize their idea. Sedona Method that was focused on the learners can engage the students to organize their ideas better than before. The findings of the research were (1) the students’ content achievement was improved 9.98% from diagnostic test to cycle 1 and was improve 10.03% from cycle I to cycle II (2) the students’ organization achievement was improving 8.63% from diagnostic test to cycle I and improved 10.03% from cycle I to Cycle II. From the description above it could conclude the improving of the students’ writing skill in the descriptive paragraph in terms of content and organization by using Sedona Method at the Tenth Grade of SMA Batara Gowa was improved.Keywords: Writing Skill, Sedona Method

 This study aims to determine the implementation of flash card media in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery. This research is included in classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class X IIS 2 Muhammadiyah 5 High School in Yogyakarta academic year 2017/2018. The method used to collect data is observation, tests, documentation, and field notes. The results showed an increase in vocabulary mastery after the use of flash card as a learning medium. The increase can be seen from the pre-test value and the post-test value. The average value of the first cycle class between pre test and post test showed an increase in value of 48 points from the average grade of 30 points in the pre test to 78 points in the test post. so that it can be seen that there is an increase in Arabic vocabulary mastery before and after the action. The increase has not been significant because the average grade is still below the indicator of success. And the average grade in the second cycle between pre-test and post-test shows an increase in value of 70 points from the average grade of 15 points in the pre-test to 85 points in the post-test value. Keywords: Media Flash Card, Arabic Vocabulary

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). Numbered Head Together (NHT) was used as the technique to improve students’ reading comprehension which was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research were the tenth grade students of social 3 class in SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap in the academic year of 2017/2018. The class consisted of 35 students. The data collection used observation and measurement technique. The results showed that Numbered Head Together (NHT) technique could improve students’ ability in reading comprehension. Moreover, it could influence the students’ attention, and also motivated them in learning activities as the result of the groups’ discussion. Through the use of Numbered Head Together (NHT) technique, the students were able to participate in teaching learning process. They became serious in listening to the teacher’s explanations and worked cooperatively with their friends in each group. They were also more active, enthusiastic, and more confident in following class activities which resulted on the better atmosphere of the classroom that was more enjoyable and alive. Keywords:Reading Comprehension, Numbered Head Together and Classroom Action Research

The objective of this research was to improve students’ English speaking competency by using podcast in teaching and learning. The subject of the research was the speaking competency of the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Amlapura, i.e. X MIA 1 class. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. There were two kinds of data collected, the qualitative data were obtained from the questionnaires and observation checklist. The quantitative data were collected by conducting pre-test and post-test. The result of study showed that the main score of the students’ English speaking competency gained on the pre-test was 60.43, on the post-test 1 was 72.46 and on post-test 2 was 79.78 and 83.33% of students could pass the standard minimum score. It can be concluded that the students’ English speaking competency could be improved by using podcast in English teaching and learning.

This study is aimed to improve the students’ vocabulary acquisition through derivational suffixes strategy. The subject of this study is the students of Class IX-1 of SMP Santo Petrus Medan in the academic year of 2017/2018. This study is conducted by applying Classroom Action Research (CAR), which have been conducted in two cycles (cycle 1 and cycle 2) and each cycle consisted of four meetings. The results of vocabulary test shows that the progressing mean score of the pretest is 34.66, post test in cycle 1 is 93.46, and post test in cycle 2 is 97.33. In cycle 1, the comparison percentage of nominal is 88.83%, verbal is 77.46%, adjectival is 40.74%, and adverbial is 84.14%. In cycle 2, the comparison percentage of nominal is 100%, verbal is 95.45%, adjectival is 65.84%, and adverbial is 94.91%. The percentage of the students who pass Minimal Criterion Mastery in each cycle is 100%, with the improvement 169.64% in cycle 1 to 180.81% in cycle 2. These indicate that there is a significant improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery through affixation strategy of Class IX-1 of SMP Santo Petrus Medan in the academic year of 2017/2018.

This study was aimed to determine: 1) application of decision making learning model in class XI MA  at  Daar El- Istiqomah Sukawana, Serang city of Banten, academic year  2016/2017.  2) The improvement of the results of accounting learning by applying decision making learning model on the subject matter of Recording Transactions/ Documents into General Jurnal in class XI MA  at Daar El-Istiqomah, Sukawana, Serang - Banten City  in academic year  2016/2017.This research was a classroom action research (CAR). The research used two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps. The subjects in this study was class XI in MA Daar El-Istiqomah Sukawana, Serang - Banten, that consist of 25 students. The object of  this research was an implementation of decision making learning model.The results showed that the implementation of decision making learning model could be increased teacher and students activity. It could be seen that there were an increasing activity from cycle 1 to cycle 2. On cycle I, based on teacher observation, the activity reached 58% and in cycle II  reached 88% . Students learning outcomes based on average pre test reached 45. While the post test on cycle 1 by applying the Decision Making learning model has increased 71.4, and the average in post test on cycle II increased quite significant than in cycle 1 that is 80,8.

This study aims at describing the implementation and the effectiveness of jumbled-sentences as a technique to enhance students� skill in writing report text and finding out the factors influencing students� skill in writing report text. This study was conducted in MAN 2 Yogyakarta that involved 24 tenth graders of IPA 3 in academic year 2018/2019. This study was a classroom action research. To collect the data, observation checklist, structured interview, and tests were used. The result showed that most of students could understand the subject easily and involve actively during the technique implementation. Besides, the test results showed students� mean improvement in writing report text from pre-test (3.00), post-test I (3.36), and post-test II (3.78). It means that jumbled-sentences technique is effective to enhance students� skill in writing report text. Moreover, the factors influencing students� writing skill were having lack of vocabulary, getting anxiety in making grammar errors, getting difficulties in understanding and translating words or sentences, and having limited classroom for learning-teaching process.Keywords: implementation, jumbled-sentences, students� skill, writing, report text.
