In its management, schools need quality assurance as a benchmark for assessing the success or failure of educational institutions. One of the most important aspects that affect the quality of education is leadership and quality management. The research objectives are: (1) to describe how the principal's strategy in improving the academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo (2) to describe how the principal's strategy is to improve the non-academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are: (1) the principal's strategy in improving the academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo is through the PPDB process carried out in 4 stages, supervising the learning process in order to know the achievements in the learning process, taking a good personal approach with all school stakeholders, excellent programs (Academic Skills) that can support students to continue to work and produce achievements. develop school planning as much as possible, analyze the challenges, obstacles and future opportunities that will be faced by SMAN 2 Sidoarjo (2) the principal's strategy in improving the non-academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo is a superior program of life skills in the form of learning to be able to survive in life , more productive and supported by existing programs in schools. Social Skill with the hope of being able to socialize in society. Develop school planning as much as possible, analyze the challenges, obstacles and future opportunities that will be faced by SMAN 2 Sidoarjo.

Parents’ low participation in improving the quality of education is an interesting topic of study. This research aims to obtain data on parents’ participation in improving the quality of infrastructure and learning process in elementary schools. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data were the principal, teachers, and parents. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings, it can be discussed that parents already participated in improving educational infrastructure but not maximized. They donate funds and energy for school construction. While, in learning process, parents contribute to guide, to motivate, to supervise the children, and to facilitate all their needs in learning. Problems faced by parents in improving the quality of learning are lack of time in supervising the children to learn due to busy work and also the low level of parents’ education and income (education and economic factors).

The integration of modern technologies in the learning process is a key component of the strategies of educational institutions for effective education. Through them the educational content and learning activities are enriched and realized quickly and easily with the active participation of the students. At the same time, technologies are a prerequisite for the realization of new forms of education, adequate to the learners’ needs and expectations. For teachers, the benefits of applying digital technologies in the learning process and their contribution to improving the quality of education are undeniable. For the current generation of learners, technologies are an essential part of their daily lives. But the readiness of digital learners to accept and participate in new forms of learning based on technological innovations is a matter of crucial importance. The aim of the current paper is to present an analysis of the results of a study about the students’ attitude to the implementation of various innovative forms of learning.

In its development, the supervisor of the education unit is more directed to owning and understanding even demanded to be able to practice what is contained in the ministerial regulation on oversight. One of the demands is about competence in understanding the methods and techniques in supervision. A supervisor is a professional person when carrying out their duties, he acts on the basis of scientific principles to improve the quality of education. The teacher is one component of educational resources requiring supervision services. The importance of educational supervision assistance to teachers is rooted deeply in people's lives. To carry out supervision requires strengths that can see sharply to problems in improving the quality of education, use sensitivity to understand it and not just use ordinary eye sight, because what it observes is not a concrete, visible problem, but requires mental sensitivity. A supervisor fosters improved academic quality related to efforts to create better learning conditions in the form of academic aspects, not merely physical material problems. When supervision is faced with performance and quality control of education, it certainly has a different mission from supervision by the school principal. It aims to provide services to school principals in developing the quality of educational institutions and facilitating school principals to be able to carry out institutional management effectively and efficiently.

Accreditation is an activity for evaluating the feasibility of a program in an education based on predetermined criteria. This accreditation is applied as an evaluation material and also controls the quality of education. However, even though the accreditation system has been developed and formulated in such a way, not many schools have been able to implement the existing instruments in the accreditation to improve the quality of their educational institutions. Many schools have not utilized the existing systems and instruments in accreditation optimally. Therefore, the implementation of accreditation in schools also requires an approach so that the process can run optimally. That approach is called by Total Quality Management (TQM). This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study found that accreditation in the TQM perspective contains the principles, among others: First, accreditation contains standards that are used as reference for implementation; Second, the school utilizes the assessment instruments that are in the accreditation to monitor the ongoing education services (monitoring and evaluation); Third, school accreditation is used to identify deficiencies in schools (deviations); Fourth, accreditation is used as a reference to continuously improve the quality of their schools.

This paper supports the discussion of the concept of strengthening educational culture for managers of educational institutions. In this paper, a strategy to foster a culture of educa- tional quality is also examined so that the quality of madrasah education becomes better, both in terms of inputs, processes and results. The quality strategy in education in schools begins with a number of steps, namely (1) determining quality criteria, (2) building qual- ity commitments, (3) developing cultural quality, (4) developing the quality of educational services, and (5) improving the quality of school culture. The form of quality culture-based services can be done by improving academic quality that complements the developed competency standards, content standards, process standards, and adjusted standards. These four components, if implemented optimally, will be an indicator of descriptors of educational services in quality-based madrasas. Quality strategies in education services in madrasas need to start with a number of steps, namely (1) Find Support, (2) Support Support, (3) build a quality culture , (4) building the quality of education services, and (5) improving the quality of madrasa culture.

This study aims to obtain information about Teacher's Perception to increase of academic quality based of Management Information Systems at Elementary School 08 Batang Anai which is viewed from aspects: quality and management information system. This type of research is descriptive research. The population of this study were all teachers at SDN 08 Batang Anai, amounting to 11 peoples. Research method is qualitative descriptive. The data that has been collected by obsrvation and interview with the teachers and employee in that school. The result showed that: 1. Teacher's perception in improving the quality of education in SDN 08 Batang Anai is considered weak. The number of those who complained about being unable and lacking in expertise made the quality of education in these schools decline. 2. Teachers' perceptions in using the Management Information System in Schools are also considered weak. Some senior teachers who only rely on school operators make the information system not run smoothly as it should.

This study aims to describe the application of student-centered learning to improve the quality of education. The results of this study show how the application of student-centered learning has an increase in improving the quality of education, namely: (1) one of factors that can improve the quality of education that must be done is "the children as the center" is excavated so that the school can install the power in the student; (2) the learning process is to built through a continuous question and answer process to improve students' thinking skills so as to obtain knowledge that is constructed by themselves; (3) educational institutions that manage effectively and efficiently will have a positive impact in achieving effective and efficient learning as well, which ultimately results in institutions and develops superior ones. The student-centered learning process can support the expected competencies.
