The objectives of this study were to discover: (1) the differences of problem solving ability enhancement between students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach, (2) the interaction between learning approach (PMR and Inquiry) with the capability of beginning math students towards students’ problem solving ability enhancement, (3) the troubleshooting process of students’ problem solving between students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach. This study is a quasi experiment research. The population of this study consist of all students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Morawa. The sample of this study was 2 classes consist of 66 sudents taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The data was analyzed by using anova two lanes. It is found that (1) there is a difference of students problem solving enhancement between students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach, (2) there is an interaction between learning approach (PMR and Inquiry) with the capability of beginning math  students  towards  students’  problem  solving ability  enhancement, (3) a description discussion about the troubleshooting process of students problem solving students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach.

The purposes of this study were: (1) to analyze the different effect of PBL, inquiry, and DI on the problem-solving skill in science of the students; (2) to analyze the different effect of PBL and inquiry on the problem-solving skill in science of the students; (3) to analyze the different effect of PBL and DI on the problem-solving skill in science of the students; and (4) to analyze the different effect of inquiry and DI on the problem solving skill in science of the students. This research was a quasi-experiment with the problem-solving skill as the dependent variable, learning model (PBL, inquiry learning, and DI) as the independent variable, and prior knowledge as the covariance variable. The population of this research was grade VIII students of SMP N 1 Batang and the sample was three groups established using the cluster random sampling technique. The results of this study showed: (1) there is a different effect of PBL, inquiry, and DI on the problem-solving skill in science of the students; (2) there is no different effect of PBL and inquiry on the problem-solving skill in science of the students; (3) there is a different effect of PBL and DI on the problem solving skill in science of the students; and (4) there is a different effect of inquiry and DI on the problem solving skill in science of the students.

Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Salafiyah Darul Falah Mataram yang berjumlah 153 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII B dengan jumlah 28 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain pre-eksperimen (One Group Pretest Postest Design). Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu menggunakan teknik cluster  random sampling . Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t test Sampel Related. Hasil perhitungan uji-t tes Sampel Related  didapatkan  sebesar dan sebesar dengan taraf signifikan . Karena , maka menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Teachers Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model for students' math problem solving skills. The population in this study is the students of grade VIII SMP Salafiyah Darul Falah Mataram, amounting to 153 students. The sample in this research is class VIII B with the number of 28 students. The type of research used is quantitative research, with pre-experiment design (One Group Pretest Postest Design). The sampling technique is using cluster random sampling technique. Technique of data analysis using test-t test Sampel Related. The result of t-test calculation of Sample Related test obtained t_hitung equal to 19,01 and t_table equal to 2,052 with significant level 5%. Because t_hitung≥t_tabel, then show that Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model effective to student's math problem solving ability.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dalam Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen jenis quasi-experiment. Populasi Penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMAN 14 Bekasi. Sampel yang diteliti sebanyak 72. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Dalam penelitian ini pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Uji coba instrumen dilakukan di SMAN 14 Bekasi. Sebelum data dianalisis, terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji persyaratan yaitu uji normalitas dengan menggunakan uji Lilliefors, dan homogenitas dengan menggunakan uji Fisher. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan uji-t menghasilkan t_hitung sebesar 5,385 dan t_tabel sebesar 1,66 yang mengakibatkan H0 ditolak pada taraf signifikan 0,05 dengan Effect Size sebesar 1,269 yang tergolong kategori large. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian ini memiliki kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dalam Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik.

The purpose of this research is to know if there are: (1) the influence of PMRI approach to the problem-solving ability of mathematical learners; (2) the influence between multiple intelligences capability categories of mathematical problem solving abilities; (3) there is an interaction between PMRI approach with multiple intelligences on mathematical problem solving ability. This research is a quasi-experimental design research with 2 × 3 factorial design. Sampling technique in this research use probability sampling with cluster random sampling. The research instrument used is the test of mathematical problem-solving ability and multiple intelligences questionnaire. The resulting data of mathematical problem-solving test were analyzed by using another test of two different cell paths. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is an influence of PMRI approach to students' mathematical problem solving ability; (2) there is influence between categories of multiple intelligences ability in mathematical problem solving ability; (3) there is no interaction between PMRI approach with multiple intelligences on mathematical problem solving ability.

The purpose of this research is to know about students problem solving ability between students who implemented metacognitive strategy and conventional strategy,  to know about students problem solving ability between student who have high perception, medium perception dan low perception in mathematics, and to know about interaction between of strategy and perception. This research is quasy experimental. The population of this research were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Karangreja year 2014/2015. The sample of this research were 2 class which is 63 students with cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis is used descriptive analysis dan two ways Anava or F-test. The result of this research showed that: The problem solving ability of experiment class better than control class  that is ; The problem solving ability of student who have high perception is better than medium and low perception, the problem solving ability of students who have medium perception is equal with low perception  that is , and there is no interaction between of strategy and level of perception in problem solving ability  that is .

This research is motivated by students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. One way to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities is with the CTL learning approach. The purpose of this research is: 1) to know whether the average ability of mathematical problem solving of students who get learning with CTL approach is higher than the average problem-solving abilities of mathematical students who obtain conventional learning; 2) to find out whether the average mathematical problem-solving ability of the students who acquired the learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is higher than the minimum criterion value (KKM). This research type is quasi-experiment. The research design used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Renggiang, East Belitung Regency in the academic year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling. The sample in this research is class VII. 2 as the experimental class and class VII.3 as the control class. The research instrument used is a valid test instrument in the form of a matter of pretest and posttest in the form of a description. Data were analyzed using a non-parametric statistic test. The results of the research have shown that the average problem-solving ability of students who acquire mathematics learning with CTL approach is better than students who follow the conventional mathematics learning, the average problem-solving ability of mathematical students who gain learning with CTL approach less than or equal with KKM. Keywords: Mathematical problem solving, CTL approach, quasi-experiment, cluster random sampling

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan  pemahaman konsep fisika. Jenis penelitian yang dunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-experiment research menggunakan pretest posttest control group design. Popolasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X MA Riyadhus Sholihin teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Keterampilan proses sains diukur dengan menggunakan tes esay untuk keterampilan proses sains intelektual dan observasi untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains manual. Pemahaman konsep fisika siswa diukur dengan menggunakan tes objekti. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji MANOVA dan korelari Pearson. Pemahaman konsep fisika siswa diukur dengan menggunakan soal tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa di kelas X MA Riyadhus Sholihin pada materi Suhu dan kalor.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to determine the effect of inquiry-based laboratory activities on the students’ understanding of the nature of science (NOS) in learning lights and optics topic. The method used in this research is quasi experiment. Sampling technique using cluster random sampling and the samples were taken from grade 8 in one of junior high school in Bandung. The sample was 45 students, consisting of the experimental class (n = 24 students) and the control class (n=21 students). The experimental class is taught by inquiry-based laboratory activities, while the control class is taught by non-inquiry laboratory activities. The result of this research shows that the experimental class got N-Gain of 0.60, while the control class got N-Gain of 0.44, and both classes proven to have statistically significant different improvement.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemecahan masalah dari masing-masing gaya belajar yang berbeda. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif. Popuasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 1 Kibin tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner, tes, wawancara, dan peneliti. Data mengenai menganalisis pemecahan masalah diambil dari kuesioner dan tes. Hasilnya didapat gaya belajar visual mendominasi. Kemudian 1 siswa dari gaya belajar yang berbeda dijadikan sampel untuk di wawancara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pemecahan masalah setiap siswa berbeda karena dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar. Gaya belajar visual dalam pemecahan masalah cenderung menekankan pada soal tes dan mencari informasi yang mendetail untuk memecahkan masalah. Gaya belajar auditorial dalam memecahkan masalah cenderung mengandalkan ingatan ketika pembelajaran. Gaya belajar kinestetik dalam pemecahan masalah cenderung memahaminya terlebih dahulu, kemudian dikonstruksikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa gaya belajar memegang peranan penting dalam pemecahan masalah. This research is included in descriptive-qualitative research. Populations taken in this study were students of SMPN 1 Kibin 2019/2020 school year. The research sampling technique used cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were in the form of questionnaires, tests, interviews, and researchers. Data regarding analyzing problem solving is taken from questionnaires and tests. The result is that the visual learning style is dominated. Then 1 student from a different learning style is sampled to be interviewed. The analysis shows that each student's problem solving is different because it is influenced by learning styles. Visual learning styles in problem solving tend to emphasize test questions and look for detailed information to solve problems. Auditory learning styles in solving problems tend to rely on memories when learning. Kinesthetic learning styles in problem solving tend to understand them first, then constructed in daily life. From these results it can be concluded that the learning style plays an important role in problem solving. This research is aimed to describe a technology-integrated collaborative learning, exploring the student perception associated with the implemented learning method as well as observing the effectiveness of this method compared to the individual method. This research was conducted in Islamic Institute of Ma’arif NU Metro – Indonesia in 2017/2018 academic year. Through the application of cluster random sampling technique, about 28 students were determined as the research sample. The research sample was the fifth semester students of mathematics education who are currently learning the geometric transformation subject. The experimental class which becomes the focus of researcher is consist of 28 students who were derived from the cluster random sampling technique. This research design is a mixed research. Observation sheet, interview, and test of problem solving capability were used as the data collecting instrument. The results of this research indicates that the collaborative process is performing well. The learning process was conducted in the class, not in the computer laboratory. The limited number of laptop did not impact the learning process. The observation results indicate that the level of student enthusiasm in following the learning process is adequately high. The positive comments from students show that the technology-integrated collaborative method has supported them to comprehend the mathematics concepts as well as growing the high intention of learning. Negative comments that occur are associated with the complexity of studied material and the difficulty in using the application for a small number of students. The test results of problem solving capability has shown that the method of technology-integrated collaborative learning provides better results compared to the individual learning..
