Abstract In each project activity management are usually applied that focus on aspects of planning, implementation, and supervision. So that project activities can run smoothly and finish well, there needs to be a plan and control, not only in managerial aspects but also in the engineering structure. Companies engaged in project contracting services can be said to be successful if they can use their time and project costs efficiently and effectively, so that every project confronted can be completed in a timely manner and in accordance with what was planned. In the dock construction project in this study requires a workforce of 24608 hours. And by using Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for material procurement, a schedule or order plan can be produced from the material that arrives on time that has been determined so that project implementation can proceed smoothly according to plan. This study discusses the application of the material requirements planning (MRP) method in the planning of raw materials in a furniture company. The purpose of this research is to know the planning of raw materials for furniture products in UD. AA, determine the most suitable inventory model to be applied to material inventory planning and analyze the role of the MRP system in raw material procurement planning. The forecasting method used is the quantitative method of time series analysis, determining the master production schedule, calculating lot sizing (LFL, EOQ, POQ methods). From determining the Master Production Schedule, it is found that the cabinet production plan for the next three months is 4 units per period or week, and based on the calculation of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) it can be seen what components are needed for the manufacture of cabinets, how many and when each component is required. Therefore it is obtained that the total raw material requirement for wood for the next three months is 11.34 m³.

Themain content of the construction project cost management including costforecast, cost plan, cost control. Do cost forecast, cost control goal set, must be ahead of the labor, material, cost forecasting, construction scheme ofchange of the cost forecast and the prediction of auxiliary construction cost.Cost control should follow the principle of conservation and comprehensivecontrol, there are some effective ways to realize the cost control, forexample, take organizational measures to control the project cost, take technicalmeasures to control the project cost, to take economic measures to control theproject cost, strengthen quality management and control of rework rate, etc.

Material inventory management is one part of the logistics system devoted to project implementation on material procurement as per the needs plan procurement management is a very important material function, since the material inventory for a construction project involves a considerable investment cost. In general, every construction project involves complex activities, which involves the sharing of activities and operations. Material acquisition activities require good planning and control considering the large percentage of material costs to the total cost of the project. So if less effective material handling will result in loss of time, cost and quality. then this should receive high attention from contractors for the smooth and performance to be achieved in the implementation of construction projects.

A Production Planning System was made for a snacks’ production Company by the development of a MRP system in order to increase the present production and to meet the demand. The methodology used was Material Requirement Planning (MRP) that basically consists in a logic system able to manage and control material requirement planning based on a number of pieces, components and material needed for manufacturing, in other words, it is a production planning system. The outcome of the Project has been an application with MRP features, with complements such as line balance, purchasing Budget of raw materials, among other things. The application relies on protection of information and backup by the same. The executable application of MRP system has contributed to reduce 50% the production breach at the company, as well as reducing waste in a 40%, idle time in a 50% and raw material costs in a 25%, achieving the stated goal.

The raw material is a major component in an industry, where raw materials become afundamental requirement in the production process. That requires a careful inventory planningsystem in the processing of raw materials production. If adequate supplies of raw materials, theproduction continues to run smoothly. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a method forcontrolling the raw material inventory planning. Where this method is designed specifically forthe production of corrugated demand situation. With this method, the researchers conducted astudy of HD plastic packaging raw material inventories at a food company, in which the process ofcollecting data with historical data recording system usage reports monthly HD plastic. The purpose of this study was to determine inventory levels and determine strategies forcontrolling and planning of HD plastic packaging materials. By making MPS for 3 months, thenthe obtained forecasting production from December 2012 s/d in February 2013. The doughproduction amount of demand Adonan 32.543batch and demand of Cream 95.938batch.With the number of such requests, the need for plastic packaging materials as much HD plasticshort 24zak as same 7221.45Kg, equivalent to as much as 604.79Kg weekly demand. For HDplastic long needs 19zak as same 5610.86kg, equivalent to 467.57Kg weekly demand. By usingthe MRP method can determine the company's raw material procurement strategy for the next 3months. Thus the MRP method can be applied in the raw material requirement planning.

The present research divulges the different inventory control techniques used small scale cements enterprises operated by small scale entrepreneurs through the assistance of primary data collected from eight small scale cement enterprises operating in SIDCO & SICOP, under DIC (District Industries Center) in District Udhampur of Jammu & Kashmir State. The various inventory control techniques identified and quested for in the research were: Always Better Control (ABC), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and Just-in-Time (JIT). The results of the ranking table quoted that Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) was awarded first rank by almost all the units representing overall mean score of 1.71, Always Better Control (ABC) was denoted by rank two repressing overall mean value as 2.00, Material Requirement Planning (MRP) was quoted rank three as depicted by its mean ranking (2.25), and Just-in-time (JIT) was accorded rank four (3.71) by almost all the small scale cements entrepreneurs/owners.
