Настоящая статья является третьей из цикла статей, посвященных корректировке кодекса ИМО по остойчивости в части ограничений продольной качки. В ней рассмотрены подходы к ограничениям по погоде из условий, возникающих при продольной качке для судов различных типов и предложены критерии оценки этих явлений на нерегулярном волнении разной интенсивности. На основании выполненных систематических расчетов продольной качки на нерегулярном волнении получены зависимости вероятности слеминга и оголения винта от скорости и интенсивности волнения для транспортных судов. Полученные формулы позволяют оценить указанные показатели мореходности. При этом ставится цель расширения нормативной базы для обоснованного назначения эксплуатационных ограничений по погоде и району плавания судов при совершенствовании Правил Российского Морского Регист­ра Судоходства на основе общего подхода к нормированию мореходности, со­гласующегося с методикой разработки новой Международной конвенции о гру­зовой марке 2000. Предлагаемый подход к определению дополнительных критериев мореходности для оценки эксплуатационных ограничений судов по погоде из условий мореходности может быть использован на практике для совершенст­вования нормативных требований Регистра. This article is the third in a series of articles devoted to the adjustment of the IMO stability code in terms of pitching limitations. It considers approaches to weather restrictions based on the conditions arising during pitching for ships of various types and proposes criteria for assessing these phenomena on irregular waves of different intensities. Based on the performed systematic calculations of pitching on irregular waves, the dependences of the probability of slamming and propeller bareness on the speed and intensity of waves for transport vessels were obtained. The formulas obtained make it possible to evaluate the indicated seaworthiness indicators. At the same time, the goal is to expand the regulatory framework for the justified assignment of operational restrictions on the weather and the area of navigation of ships while improving the Rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping on the basis of a general approach to the regulation of seaworthiness, consistent with the methodology for the development of a new International Convention on Load Mark 2000 The proposed approach to the definition of additional seaworthiness criteria for assessing the operational limitations of ships by weather based on seaworthiness conditions can be used in practice to improve the regulatory requirements of the Register.

At the same time, the goal is to expand the regulatory framework for the justified assignment of operational restrictions on the weather and the area of navigation of ships while improving the Rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping on the basis of a general approach to the regulation of seaworthiness, consistent with the methodology for the development of a new International Convention on Load Mark 2000 . The proposed approach to the definition of additional seaworthiness criteria for assessing the operational limitations of ships by weather based on seaworthiness conditions can be used in practice to improve the regulatory requirements of the Register.

This article is the first in a series of articles on the revision of the IMO code on stability in terms of longitudinal pitching restrictions. It describes the approaches to the restrictions on the weather conditions that occurs when the longitudinal pitching is accompanied by flooding of the deck and slaming for ships of various types and the criteria of assessment of these phenomena on an irregular waves of varying intensity At the same time, the goal is to expand the normative base for the reasonable designation of operational restrictions on weather and ship navigation area while improving the Rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping on the basis of a general approach to the rationing of seaworthiness consistent with the methodology for developing the new International Convention on Load Line 2000. The proposed approach to the definition of an additional General criterion of seaworthiness to assess the operational limitations of ships on weather conditions of seaworthiness can be used in practice to improve the regulatory requirements of the Register.

The stages of modernization of Ukrainian NPP I&C systems are described in the paper. The first stage (1993—2000) was characterized by use of systems designed by foreign (including USA) companies. The second stage (2001—2011) was characterized by use of systems designed by Ukrainian companies. The modernization strategy is analyzed in two aspects: the strategy of operators and the strategy of I&C systems’ designers. Some features peculiar to the strategy of designers are: an aggregate of hardware, software and service apparatus called “hardware-software complex” (HSC) as central part of systems, which are delivered to NPPs in full assembly and are connected to peripheral equipment at NPP; use of FPGA for performance of safety functions; elaboration of new equipment families. The third stage starts in 2012 and is related to construction of two new units (Khmelnitsky-3 and 4). A new regulatory framework, including regulatory requirements, will be elaborated for I&C systems of these units.

The article explains the necessity to implement new methodological approaches to the establishment of regulatory support of the construction industry based on the parametric normalization method and defines the first priority steps towards regulatory framework reformation. A comfort environment is the main goal of architectural activities. However, in the majority of cases, this goal is implemented by overcoming various artificially created obstacles. One of the obstacles includes the current regulatory support that does not allow project designers to develop new interesting architectural and engineering solutions due to its content and excessive specification, as well as slows down the adoption of advanced technologies appearing in global designing and construction practice and entering the Ukrainian market. There is the way out. It is referred to the implementation of the parametric method for defining regulatory requirements, which will help project designers solve construction object creation issues unlike the current prescriptive (or administrative) method. The introduction of the parametric method means not only changes in approaches to the definition of regulatory requirements, but also fundamental changes in the whole structure of regulatory support.

Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) has been developed recently, and demonstration projects have been carried out internationally. Considering the full autonomous level is unlikely to be addressed shortly, remote control centre and Remote Operator (RO) will play a vital role in the MASS system. Although competence of watchkeeping at the ship’s bridge is inevitable for RO to avoid ship accidents caused by human errors, international requirements have not been introduced yet. This paper presents a way to develop the regulatory framework on the competence of RO based on the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) by exploring the concept of Situation Awareness (SA). Goal-Based Gap Analysis (GBGA) is constructed based on the human-behaviour model and the required information for SA. A case study through the mini focus group discussion with interviews by a total of three (3) veteran instructors of training ships is conducted utilising the information including the results of previous demonstration projects on the remote control. The results show the relationship between required information and ship sense, shortage of these factors when RO is operating, additional competence and possible regulatory requirements for RO. The findings support the usefulness of GBGA and pave the way to develop a regulatory framework for RO further.

The article raises the problem of classification of the concepts of computer science and informatics studied at secondary school. The efficiency of creation of techniques of training of pupils in these concepts depends on its solution. The author proposes to consider classifications of the concepts of school informatics from four positions: on the cross-subject basis, the content lines of the educational subject "Informatics", the logical and structural interrelations and interactions of the studied concepts, the etymology of foreign-language and translated words in the definition of the concepts of informatics. As a result of the first classification general and special concepts are allocated; the second classification — inter-content and intra-content concepts; the third classification — stable (steady), expanding, key and auxiliary concepts; the fourth classification — concepts-nouns, conceptsverbs, concepts-adjectives and concepts — combinations of parts of speech.

Date of «birth» of phytosociology (phytocenology) is considered to be 1910, when at the third International Botanical Congress in Brussels adopted the definition of plant association in the wording Including Flaó and K. Schröter (Flahault, Schröter, 1910; Alexandrov, 1969). The centenary of this momentous event in the history of phytocenology devoted to the 46th edition of the Yearbook «Braun-Blanquetia», which began to emerge in 1984 in Camerino (Italy) and it has a task to publish large geobotanical works. During the years of the publication of the Yearbook on its pages were published twice work of the Russian scientists — «The steppes of Mongolia» (Z. V. Karamysheva, V. N. Khramtsov. Vol. 17. 1995), and «Classification of continental hemiboreal forests of Northern Asia» (N. B. Ermakov in collaboration with English colleagues and J. Dring, J. Rodwell. Vol. 28. 2000).

Abstract The research started with an introduction containing the statement of the problem. The study was divided into four parts: a preamble and three sections. The preamble involved a definition of the metaphorical image and its importance. Late antique and early medieval graphic signs have traditionally been studied by narrowly focused specialists leading to the fragmentation and decontextualization of this important body of material. Therefore, the volume aims “to deepen interdisciplinary research on graphic signs” (7) of the third through tenth centuries, with contributions from archaeologists, historians, art historians, a philologist, and a paleographer. Ildar Garipzanov’s introduction defines the central terms (sign, symbol, graphicacy), calls for supplanting the text-image binary with “the concept of the visual-written continuum” (15), and argues that graphicacy was central to visual communication in this period. He emphasizes the agency of graphic signs and notes that their study can amplify our understanding of the definition of personal and group identity, the articulation of power, authority, and religious affiliation, and communication with the supernatural sphere.
