The paper investigates the selection of courses of study by undergraduates of Valley View University, Kumasi. Data were collected from the school of social science education which focused on 10% of the total population, two hundred and ten (210). The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version. Findings of the study reveal that economic influence has been found the most important allied to the desired choice of the programme of study. Other factors include school, peer and gender influence. It further argues that, for students to have access to their preferred program of study, there should be E-learning, academic guidance, orientation and avoidance of family influence. The study further recommends that families should serve as guides and support their wards in the selection of courses rather than imposing various programmes on them due to reasons such as sustainment of family business. In addition, Ghana Education Service (GES) should inculcate guidance and counseling into the Senior High School (SHS) syllabus to enhance prior knowledge on the selection of course or programme of study in the tertiary institutions and organizations of career exploration activities to help them decide on the programme of study.

A lot of educational institutions are facing the problem in conducting the physical classes due to COVID-19 pandemic recently. Therefore, most of the medium of teaching has been changed from a face-to-face method to online teaching. These changes may create some challenges to the students as well as the teachers or lecturers. In fact, different learning methods have their own strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the preference of E-learning method among the undergraduate students based on multiple criteria. This study determines the priority of decision criteria in the selection of learning methods among the undergraduate students using Analytic Hierarchy Process-VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (AHP-VIKOR) model. The decision criteria that considered in this study are quality management system, information quality, flexibility, learning and teaching as well as attractiveness. Besides, blended learning, distance learning, and e-learning are identified as the alternatives of the learning methods as well as the most preferred learning method is determined in this study. The results of this study show that the most preferred learning method among undergraduate students is E-learning, followed by distance learning, and finally blended learning. Flexibility, information quality, and quality management system are ranked as the top three influential decision criteria. The significance of this study is to determine the most preferred learning method as well as the most influential decision criteria in the selection of learning methods among undergraduate students with AHP-VIKOR model.

the aim of the research is to identify the role of e-learning platforms in enhancing the academic performance of undergraduate students, and to identify the obstacles to their application in the history department, and the researcher relied on the descriptive approach to answer the research questions. The first stage, and the second stage), and the variable gender (male, female). The necessary data was collected using a questionnaire prepared by the researcher consisting of (30) paragraphs divided equally into two parts. The first included the role of the Google Classroom platform in enhancing the electronic performance of undergraduate students in the history department, while the second was the obstacles to using electronic educational platforms (the Google Classroom platform In the educational process, the stability of the questionnaire was verified, as the first part reached (0.87) and the second (0.89). After applying the questionnaire and analyzing the results statistically, the research results revealed that the evaluation of the research sample for the effectiveness of e-learning according to the Google Classroom platform was (high). As for the obstacles to using the Google Classroom platform, it was (low) and there were no statistical indications in the stage and gender variable. The researcher recommended holding training courses and workshops in the field of e-learning and assisting learners to get rid of the obstacles they face in the educational process, and the need for future marriage between e-learning and attendance in Iraqi universities, as well as a number of proposals, namely, conducting a study to evaluate the role of the Google Classroom platform in various branches Other knowledge, and a study on the obstacles to using e-learning from the faculty point of view. This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence of female students who wear the full face veil. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The sampling technique was carried out with a total sampling of 38 students who wore the veil from several universities in Indonesia. The research instrument uses a Likert-shaped Emotional Intelligence Scale owned by Dika Sahputra. Questionnaires are distributed online through the Google Forms application from November 2019 to January 2020. The results showed that in general the emotional intelligence of students who wore the full face veil was in the high category. These results can be used as a basis for making programs for guidance and counseling services in tertiary institutions, as well as being the basis for policy making for university leaders and the government towards female students and women who use the full face veil

The relevance of the study under consideration is due to the need to increase the efficiency of students independent work in solving computational problems. A theoretical rationale is proposed and the practical implementation of an automated training and diagnostic system for the formation of skills to solve problems according to the “white box” model is described. The leading idea of the study is the construction of mental schemes for a given topic, which allow to visualize the dynamics of changes in the learner’s level of ability to solve computational problems. The methods of accounting for forgetting educational information and methods of personalized selection of tasks are substantiated. The site for self-management of user independent work is available at the link: http://msbx.ru. The materials of the article are of practical value for teachers who use e-learning tools in the educational process.

Children's literature serves as a powerful medium through which children construct messages about their roles In society and gender Identity is often central to this construction. Although possessing mental schemas about gender differences is helpful when children organize their ideas of the world around them, problems occur when children are exposed to a constant barrage of uncompromising, gender-schematic sources that lead to stereotyping which in turn represses the full development of the child. This paper focuses on how gender is represented in a selection of Malaysian children's books published in the English language. Relying on the type of content analysis employed by previous feminist social science researchers, I explore this selection of Malaysian children's books for young children and highlight some areas of concern with regard to the construction of maleness and femaleness in these texts. The results reveal Imbalances at various levels Including the distribution of main, supporting and minor characters along gendered lines and the positioning of male and female characters In the visual Illustrations. The stereotyping of these characters In terms of their behavioural traits will be discussed with the aim of drawing attention to the need for us to take concerted measures to provide our children with books that will help them realize their potential to the fullest.

Currently, in the context of the widespread use of e-learning technologies and distance educational technologies, it is necessary to train future teachers, taking into account the peculiarities of solving professional problems in an electronic information and educational environment, to develop students' relevant competencies, including network communicative competence. Despite the large number of studies devoted to the communicative aspect of the teacher's activities, the problem of the formation of network communicative competence in the electronic information and educational environment has not been sufficiently studied. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the results of the questionnaire survey of students, some methods of forming network communicative competence in future teachers in the study of various disciplines, in the course of teaching practice, and scientific research are proposed. The analysis of the conditions and factors that determine the choice of methods for the formation of the specified competence has been carried out. These factors are associated with the teachers' perception of the peculiarities of communication in the electronic information and educational environment, the didactic and communicative potential of resources and tools of the electronic information and educational environment, the choice of methods and technologies for organizing interaction, the selection of educational material that allows the development of components of network communicative competence, the design of tasks and exercises for the development of network communicative competence, the choice of modes, schemes and forms of organization of interaction, the organization of feedback, control of the level of formation of the network communicative competence, the implementation of reflection. The formed network communicative competence will contribute to a more effective solution by the teacher of communicative tasks in the electronic information and educational environment, which will improve the quality of training of future teachers in the electronic information and educational environment.
