Abstract Self management is a strategy in which the cognitive behavioral approach in the application, subject to the expected full attendance during the intervention process. NAP is an HIV patient and had undergone antiretroviral therapy. Saturation, fatigue experienced by NAP during the ARV therapy, so found some times subject medical leave provisions. Healthy behavior in a sick person (in this case a person suffering from HIV) one of which is adherent to treatment that must be endured. This research aims to gain result the applying of self management techniques against medication adherence of NAP patient with HIV in the Balai Rehabilitasi Sosial Pamardi PutraYogyakarta. This study focuses on the application of self-management techniques that include self-monitoring, self reinforcement and self evaluation of medication adherence that includes aspects of belief, accept and act on the subject. Researchers used quantitative approach by using the method of single subject design N = 1 model A-B-A now where the measurements and observations made in each phase. The subject in this study as many as one person with initials NAP. The purpose of this study is to look at the effect of applying the self management technique against NAP’s medication adherence. The results of this study indicate that the application of self-management techniques have a positive effect in improving NAP’s medication adherence with skor of 2SD smaller than skor of the mean phase difference A2 and A1. Stages through the application of this technique is extracting and determining value, set goals, formulate an action plan, the implementation of self-monitoring, self reinforcement and self evaluation. Based on the analysis of the results of the study concluded that the motivation, participation and discipline will determine the effectiveness of the intervention. Support of family members is also important to support the commitment of the subjects in this therapy. Keywords: behavior modification, HIV, medication adherence, self-management AbstrakManusia dapat memutuskan dan menentukan dirinya sendiri. AbstractThis article contains a comparative study of heuristic textual practices in various scientific disciplines. By this we mean formulation practices with which new knowledge is generated in institutionally influenced routines and connected to existing knowledge, e. g. ‚highlighting the relevance of a research topic‘, ‚defining a concept‘ or ‚supporting a statement argumentatively‘.The aim is to find out to what extent such textual practices occur in different scientific disciplines, how they are distributed and combined. Furthermore, we study the effects domain-specific contexts have on heuristic textual practices. The data basis of our study is a corpus of 65 dissertations from the 13 different faculties of the TU Darmstadt. In the pilot study we report here, we examined the introductory chapters of the dissertations. Methodologically, it is an annotation study: Based on the current state of research on the subject, we have derived a basic annotation scheme, which we have developed and refined in a collaborative process of guideline creation. Our study affiliates on socio-pragmatic research on text production and formulation routines in the sciences. It is theoretically informed by the philosophy of science research on heuristics, methodically we make a contribution to the scientific debate on collaborative annotation procedures.

The current trends of development, ensuring the welfare of the state, are in continuous communication with innovation activity. Under the influence of complex and sustainable innovation processes, the concept of the national innovation system is embodied at the macroeconomic level in its totality. Numerous elements are seen in the conjugation of the national innovation system scale, among which higher education institutions, and their scientific and innovative potential take their place. However, the reverse side is inequality in the levels of university integration, which introduces a discrepancy between the degree of their effectiveness as the elements of the national innovation system. So it becomes urgent to have a specific set of steps to improve the level of university integration. The process of integration level increase must be governed necessarily by the principles of suitable integration condition management, where it is possible to justify waiting by creation of a management algorithm for university integration in the national innovation system. The result of such an algorithm application is the obtaining of a visual set of steps by a user to ensure the process of managerial decision making and implementation to improve the level of university integration in the national innovation system. The increase of university integration will directly enhance its interaction with other elements of NIS, and therefore will increase its contribution to the national economy development, and other priority areas of the state.

The subject of research. This article determines that in conditions of global transformational processes, the sphere of innovation activity becomes of particular importance in the economy of advanced countries. Its development provides socio-economic growth of local companies and a state, in general, requiring significant financial resources. Consequently, the subject of this study is the management of innovation activities at the enterprise with the achievement of maximum effectiveness, as well as the identification of interconnection between innovations and investments. Methodology. Conducted research shows, the condition of development of domestic technologies is unsatisfactory: Ukraine occupies the last place among European countries. Innovative activity is associated with investments, whose government support in our country is rather small in the context of the state’s GDP. Content analysis is carried out on materials of works of domestic and foreign scientists using information from Ukrainian legislation and statistical data provided by experts. In the process of preparing the paper, the following general scientific methods of research are used: logical analysis, observation, formalization, synthesis, abstraction. The purpose of a study is to analyse the nature of the innovation activity of companies, to establish its unbiased relationship with investment processes in order to identify areas for improving the innovation and investment situation in Ukraine. Important is to substantiate the expediency of improving the innovative management of Ukrainian enterprises in the focus of implementation of new projects by finding the necessary sources of financing. As a result – effective management of the company is capable of satisfying consumer demands and increase profits. Conclusions. Thus, the analysis of the relationship between innovations and investments has shown that the situation in Ukraine is characterized by a deficit of state support in the investment and innovation sector, and difficulties in attracting finance. The latter is directly related to the political situation, instability, the lack of clear legislative rules of direct action, as well as insignificant pay for the work of inventors. At the same time, the positive direction of innovation development in Ukraine is the tendency to increase venture companies (with the use of foreign experience), which directly provides investment in the latest local finds. Improving the investment and innovation situation in Ukraine is possible by creating a set of incentives for attracting investment, further investing in human capital, raising wages for researchers; growth of inflow of foreign investments; providing tangible state support to enterprises and more favourable lending conditions for them, etc. It is important to ensure transparency of legislation, to perfect the conditions of functioning of business space and the state of market infrastructure, to take measures to improve the state of the environment.

Introduction: In 2015 Brazil was surprised by an increase in the incidence of microcephaly, related by the Ministry of Health to Zika virus infection during pregnancy. This theme, which was notorious for public health, reached wide popular repercussion through the media. Objectives: To describe the presence of the scientific paradigm in the discourse of health professionals, researchers or journalists who inform the lay public about biological causation. Methodology: All the news made available on the digital platform of the Folha de São Paulo newspaper, containing the key term "Zika and microcephalia" and published between November 11, 2015 and March 4, 2016, was performed. Scientific elucidation on the subject. The news items were classified as to the presence of certainty or uncertainty about the relationship between Zika and microcephaly in their content and the central idea in the subject titles. Results: Of the 387 reports analyzed, 51.4% related Zika as a causal factor of microcephaly, while 32.8% considered the presence of uncertainty in the relationship. It was verified that the newspaper privileged subjects related to the repercussions due to the diseases, being predominant the report of control measures. Considering the origin of the news, it was significant the use of official sources, presented in 82% of the news. Conclusion: The scientific paradigm was disregarded, ignoring the uncertainty principle and the scientific debate. The limitations of both journalists and health managers were also demonstrated in the elaboration of an effective communication with the public in emergency situations.

Despite variances in contexts and styles of design activity, recurrent patterns emerge in design innovation approaches and processes which lend themselves to analysis and discussion. Using a Design Innovation framework [1] that is built, in part, on the UK Council’s ‘4D’ (Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver) model of design [2], we develop design signatures, graphical maps of design innovation processes. Design signature analyses of four multi-disciplinary industrial case studies illustrate the value of design signatures as useful design activity plots that can be used to plan and manage innovation teams and activities, and to identify critical features for reflection, for clarification, and for further analysis. This work is of interest to design practitioners, managers, researchers, and educators with various motivations, such as to seek a tool to convey and analyze design innovation activity.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the determinants of successful eco-innovation processes, using R&D intensity and green patents as metrics for eco-innovation measurement and analysis. Design/methodology/approach The paper reports the results of a quantitative study based on a sample of 2,218 firms with proactive profiles in eco-innovation, 249 of which have green patents registered in Spain or in the European Union. Findings The results suggest positive relationships between the activity of eco-innovation of firms with both the innovation activity in firms and the R&D intensity. The findings also confirm the influence of implementing innovation in the financial performance of business. Research limitations/implications The results will be useful for future studies on the subject and for practitioners making decisions on investments in collaborative R&D and its protection through industrial property in the form of green patents. The main determinants of eco-innovation analysed in this paper can be directly translated into practices because they provide information on how to strengthen these determinants in environmental R&D investments and the registration of green patents. Practical implications The results will be useful for future studies on the subject and for practitioners making decisions on investments in collaborative R&D and its protection through industrial property in the form of green patents. The main determinants of eco-innovation analysed in this paper can be directly translated into practices because they provide information on how to strengthen these determinants in environmental R&D investments and the registration of green patents. Originality/value Despite the popularity and potential impact of the eco-innovation on economy or society, it has fallen short in terms of its potential to improve financial performance in firms. This paper argues that the level of eco-innovation activity explains some variability in financial performance. In fact, those firms that have greater levels of innovation increase their performance.

Purpose – This paper is concerned with the management and organization of product innovation processes, and how innovation performance relates to business performance. The underlying rationale is that encouraging firms to innovate will lead to a better business performance. Design/methodology/approach – This study leverages a data set of 99 medium-sized technology firms in Sweden. The first part of the analysis in this study aims at finding determinants of product innovation processes, and the second part is the analysis and trade-off between innovation performance and business performance. First, a research framework is developed in which the link between strategic dimensions, process dimensions and organizational dimensions of product innovation activity and product innovation performance is tested. Second, the research framework tests the relationship between innovation performance and business performance (sales and profitability). Findings – Product innovation performance (patent) is affected by seven variables of the 14 variables that represent product innovation processes. Product innovation performance is not affected by firm size, firm age, branch and product life cycles and, in the regression model, all three innovation performance variables (patents, copyrights and licenses) have a positive effect on the firm's sales, but there were no connections to the firm's profitability. Originality/value – The main implication of the study is the idea supporting a multi-aspects approach to the product innovation processes and performance since product innovation process dimensions (variables used in the study) have only partial influence on innovation-/business performance.
