The introduction of the article outlines the topicality of eco-philosophy and eco-theology in rela-tion to life, nature and human existence problems. The notion of „eco-map” used in social sciences is dis-cussed as conditionally related to P. Florensky’s creative work. The main section displays three directions of his eco-philosophy: 1) general problematics (environment/culture; a man/a mask); 2) the direction rela-ted to P. Florensky as a representative of sophiology (Sophia or wisdom in a wide sense solving the relati-onal problematic of God and creation); 3) the direction characterizing the unity between his life and crea-tive work (the world of life, the asceticism/starecs’ problem). The conclusions stress the three basic traits of P. Florensky’s ecosophy: the consubstantiality of the All-Unified; the antinomic symbolism; the truthfulness of life. The research methods applied: the analysis of scientific literature; the hermeneutic analysis of P. Florensky’s texts.

The author considers the problems of typification of society. Some concepts of typification of social stratification models in different countries formulated and justified in historical and legal, historical, sociological, and economic scientific literature are reviewed. The circumstances that make it difficult to formulate universal concepts designed for application in the complex of social Sciences are identified. These circumstances include insufficient consideration of legal factors, including the position of the legislator, the specifics of the corporate legal status, and the characteristics of the mechanism for changing individual legal status. The author offers a variant of classification of society types from the point of view of legal registration of their structure. The possibility of distinguishing types such as consolidated companies and segmented companies is justified.

Introducing research methods in the social sciences is not an easy task given how complex the subject matter is. Social sciences, like all sciences, can be divided into categories (disciplines). Disciplines are frequently defined according to what they study (their empirical object) and how they study it (their particular problematization of the object). They are, however, by no means unitary entities. Within each discipline, multiple theories typically contend over the ability to tell provisional truths about the world. They do so by building on specific visions of the nature of the world, reflections on how to generate scientific truth, systematic ways of collecting and analyzing data (methods) and of justifying these methods as part of a coherent research design (methodologies).

This article scrutinises one of the most challenging theses of Nietzsche'sBirth of Tragedy, that only as an aesthetic phenomenon can existence and the world be (or appear to be) ‘justified’. Through a close examination of the work's frequently masked revaluation of a series of Greek sources of thinking, not least its ‘inversion’ of both the metaphysics and the aesthetics of Plato'sRepublic, the article shows how the thesis of aesthetic ‘justification’ is caught up in a tension between Apolline and Dionysian interpretations, the first entailing a quasi-Homeric sense that the Olympians justify human existence by living a transfigured form of it themselves, the second involving a tragic insight into reality as itself the creative work of a ‘world-artist’, the latter allusively associated by Nietzsche with the philosophy of Heraclitus.

The author of the article: „The problem of sexual offences, as a result of the mystery of iniquity present in the world, in the light of St. Jerome’s letters”, shows paradox of human existence, in which men, as a real being, continually escapes into the world of dreams and utopia; as a social being, adores in himself anarchistic behaviors; moral and religious values are precious for him, however by the whole of his existence opposes them; he speaks about the ideals of truth, justice and love, but in practice uses false in the wide sense of this word, without difference of time in which he lives and systems under which he exists.

Currently, there are conflicting views around the world regarding infant floating. There is no consensus on the most effective techniques for facilitating infant swimming skills. Infant floating is dominated by a therapeutic and pedagogical approach that ensures parents' involvement in the process. There is no unified methodology for infant floating in Latvia. Furthermore, the number of infant swimming specialists, as well as adequate infrastructure, is insufficient and limited. In the existing situation, it is important to increase parents' competence in infant floating so that parents are able to carry out infant bathing independently. The aim of the study is to develop a model for improving parental competence in infant floating. The main research methods comprised of studying and analysing scientific literature and modelling. The paper is based on 27 scientific literature sources, 22 of them in English, 2 in Latvian and 3 in Russian. The developed model of parental competence improvement in infant floating includes parents' theoretical knowledge of infant floating; independent research on infant floating; water safety; the application of infant floating skills under a specialist’s guidance and the ability to independently use acquired skills without guidance. In the future it will be possible to test the developed model to evaluate its usefulness in promoting parental competence in infant floating, thus ensuring parents' ability to float the infant independently.

Sport in the Context of Social Sciences. W. J. Cynarski, J. Kosiewicz, K. Obodyński, Eds. 2012. Rzeszów: Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego. 282 pp. ISBN 978-83-7338-813-0. Sport has been a very important component of human existence for ages. It is a complex and colourful phenomenon which arouses the intense interest of fans all over the world and which can be analysed from different points of view. Sport is definitely something more than pure entertainment. Anyone interested in sport should become familiar with the latest fruit of the work of the Polish scientists conducting research on different aspects of sports history and sociology. It is worth emphasizing that in Poland there are numerous scholars who have put sport at the centre of their scientific interests.

The new SARS-CoV-2 belonging to the coronaviruses family has caused a pandemic affecting millions of people around the world. This pandemic has been declared by the World Health Organization as an international public health emergency. Although several clinical trials involving a large number of drugs are currently underway, no treatment protocol for COVID-19 has been officially approved so far. Here we demonstrate through a search in the scientific literature that the traditional Moroccan pharmacopoeia, which includes more than 500 medicinal plants, is a fascinating and promising source for the research of natural molecules active against SARS-CoV-2. Multiple in-silico and in-vitro studies showed that some of the medicinal plants used by Moroccans for centuries possess inhibitory activity against SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2. These inhibitory activities are achieved through the different molecular mechanisms of virus penetration and replication, or indirectly through stimulation of immunity. Thus, the potential of plants, plant extracts and molecules derived from plants that are traditionally used in Morocco and have activity against SARS-CoV-2, could be explored in the search for a preventive or curative treatment against COVID-19. Furthermore, safe plants or plant extracts that are proven to stimulate immunity could be officially recommended by governments as nutritional supplements.
