The geological structure and the physical-mechanical properties of rocks composing and overlapping the Third potash formation in the areas of the mine field mine No. 4 JSC Belaruskali, which are scheduled to practice, are studied. The geological sections of the Third potash layer and its roof were built, the thickness of sylvinite and halite layers was measured, the roof falling of the rocks of the layer with a height of up to 20 m was assessed, and the type of immediate roof was determined by the composition and structure of its constituent rocks. It was established that the strength under uniaxial compression of both sylvinite and halite layers for the areas under consideration differs slightly. Therefore, to solve engineering problems of ensuring the stability of mine workings and to calculate fastening parameters, strength values averaged over the groups of layers can be used that correlate well with the percentage of weak and clay interlayers. The same applies to Poisson’s ratio, the values of which for various layers of formation are slightly different and can be taken by their averaging. It is shown that the main factor that negatively affects the strength of rocks occurring in the roof of the Third potash seam is the presence of weak and clay interlayers, which increases with depth. The introduction of the obtained results allows us to improve the calculation accuracy of securing mining parameters, to reduce the costs of their maintenance, and to improve the safety of mining operations in developing the Third potash formation in complex geological and mining conditions.

While studying the designs of threshing devices and threshing methods, we revealed the main factors that have a significant effecting the threshing process. It has been established that the primary method of seeds threshing is blow with subsequent wiping. Deformation of sunflower heads makes the threshing process easy and reduces seeds damage. When working, all the threshing and separating devices, acting as control objects, are subject to external influences that are caused by numerous and diverse factors requiring constant monitoring and adjustment of the control system. Such factors are moisture, physical and mechanical properties and varietal qualities of the threshed crop. After analyzing the material of the review of copyright certificates and patents, we concluded the new thresher should perform the following operations: compression, vibration, wiping, and blow. The developed stand allows exploring all methods of sunflower heads threshing and studying the impact of each factor on the characteristics of the obtained seed material.

Polyester-based composites filled with various contents of alumina (Al2O3) (i.e., 0, 1, 5, and 10 vol%) have been fabricated in this study. Physical and mechanical properties of the composites have also been analysed. The analysis results showed that the experimental density of the polyester/alumina composites was smaller than the theoretical density, which could be attributed to the formation of voids during preparation of the composites. Meanwhile, the tensile strength, stiffness, and hardness of the composites increased with increasing alumina content, while the strain-at-break of the composites decreased. It was observed that the composites containing 5 vol% of alumina had the best tensile strength, stiffness, and hardness. The uniform distribution and dispersion of alumina particles were likely responsible for the improvement of the mechanical properties. In other hand, small decrease in tensile strength, stiffness, and hardness of composite was found in the composites with 10 vol% of alumina. The formation of agglomerates and voids was believed to be the main factor for the decrease of the both properties.

During statistical processing of proceeding of several variants of experiments the equation of maximum pressure of tractor wheels on the soil were obtained, depending on the tractor parameters and physical and mechanical properties of the soil. This paper analyzes the influence of the main factors on the maximum amount of wheels pressure on the ground. We revealed performance of equations beyond the experimental values of the factors. With an increase in the width of the wheel profile, its diameter, the speed of the tractor, the maximum pressure of wheel on the ground is reduced, and with increasing tractor’s weight on one wheel, the soil hardness, the pressure in wheel tire the maximum pressure of wheel on ground increases. Comparison with the data, available in the domestic and foreign journals, showed that the most stable prediction results of maximum pressure value of tractor wheels on the ground are obtained by using the first equation in the article. The prediction error of wheels maximum pressure values is in the range of 3 to 15%, depending on the brand of tractor and its working conditions.

Abstract Refractory concretes based on aluminous cements are used with great success in areas where high temperatures are required. The mineralogical composition of the high alumina cement is the main factor which gives the physical and mechanical properties at high temperatures of refractory monolithic materials. It is therefore desirable to use high alumina cements based on mineralogical compounds with high refractoriness, because in the end those beneficial properties can be found in the final product - refractory concrete. The aim of this paper is to design, realize and characterize different compositions of high alumina cements based on mineralogical compounds with the highest refractory from the CaO-Al2O3 binary system (i.e. CA, CA2, and CA6), and to find ways of hydraulic activation of calcium hexa aluminate, also.

In this paper, an objective evaluation method based on main factor analysis of the wool knitted fabric was researched. Because 17 parameters for expressing fabric style were simplified into several main factors in the method, the evaluation system for fabric style was simplified into four index: stiffness, glutinous degree, rebound elasticity and fullness softness, which provides a theoretical reference between fabric mechanical properties and wool knitted fabric style research.

The compaction can directly affect the performance of asphalt pavement, while the mixing temperature, the molding temperature, the temperature of aggregates and the rolling times can all affect the compaction performance. The L9(34) orthogonal tests and indoor tests were used to analyze the influence of the main factors on the examination indicators. The results show that molding temperature have a significant effect on the physical and mechanical properties of SMA13 asphalt mixtures when the confidence level α is 0.10. Finally, quantitative analysis is performed to study the optimal compaction technology of molding temperature and rolling times.

Timber Acacia mangium (Acacia mangium, Willd) for Furniture. The study aims to determine the mechanical and physical properties and the decorative value (color and fiber) wood of acacia mangium with using finishing materials. This type of finishing material used is ultran lasur natural dof ,ultran lasur classic teak, aqua politur clear dof, aqua politur akasia dan aqua politur cherry. After finishing the wood is stored for 3 months. Test parameters were observed, namely, physical and mechanical properties of wood, adhesion of finishing materials, color and appearance of the fiber, and timber dimensions expansion. The results showed that the mechanical physical properties of acacia wood qualified SNI. 01-0608-89 about the physical and mechanical properties of wood for furniture, air dry the moisture content from 13.78 to 14.89%, flexural strength from 509.25 to 680.50 kg/cm2, and compressive strength parallel to fiber 342.1 - 412.9 kg/cm2. Finishing the treatment process using five types of finishing materials can increase the decorative value (color and fiber) wood. Before finishing the process of acacia mangium wood has the appearance of colors and fibers and less attractive (scale scores 2-3), after finishing acacia wood fibers have the appearance of colors and interesting and very interesting (scale 4-5).Keywords: mangium wood, mechanical properties, decorative value, finishing, furniture.
