Introduction. Important in the process of European integration is determinants of maritime transport infrastructure competitiveness management with modern European requirements for improving provision of efficient technology services in maritime transportation. Scilicet necessary harmonization of economic processes and their compliance with European and world standards, however, when maritime transport infrastructure interacts with the external environment there is a certain contradiction between need to integrate into the international economy, on the one hand, and ensuring effective domestic economic integration protecting national interests, on the other hand. The purpose of the paper is to identify the determinants of European integration hat affect the management of the competitiveness of maritime transport infrastructure. Results. Based on the literature content analysis, the determinants of managing the competitiveness of maritime transport infrastructure are determined. Using the method of morphological analysis, it was determined euro-integration determinants competitiveness management marine transport infrastructure which are separated by directions and also allocated them within constructive and destructive nature. Conclusion. Having formed a look at the main determinants of managing the competitiveness of maritime transport infrastructure, it should be noted that, despite importance of each determinant separately, an integral condition is their integrated interaction which affects the provision and increase of competitiveness of the studied area. The results of the study indicate that the European integration determinants of managing the competitiveness of maritime transport infrastructure is one of the most important characteristics that is used to establish conceptual frameworks and form an effective methodology for managing the competitiveness of maritime transport infrastructure.

This research aims to examine the covid-19 pandemic measurements taken in maritime transport and their possible effects on the supply-demand equilibrium and consequently on the freight market. Covid-19 virus which infected quite large geographic area and people within very short time affects negatively not only every part of our life but also the production and service sector within the globalised world.  This is mainly because the future tendency and further effects of this virus are unpredictable. Because of that, most countries are focused firstly on measurements to be taken to reduce the spreading speed of the virus. Although measurements and restrictions seem reduced spreading speed in some countries in short term, those measurements increase the operating costs of production and service companies. On the one hand reduction on cargo movements due to low demand and increasing operation cost due to measurements, have effected the supply-demand equilibrium of maritime transportation. This research examined the effects of already taken and could be revised measurements due to the present situation and possible future tendency of covid-19, and its consequential results on the freight market.

The purpose of the article is to develop a mechanism for implementing a strategy for increasing the competitiveness of the Ukrainian maritime transport infrastructure. Methodology. The mechanism for implementing the strategy for increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine’s maritime transport infrastructure should have a systemic and comprehensive nature, all its elements should be interconnected and aimed at achieving a common goal that can guarantee the implementation of the strategic goals and priorities of the proposed concept. Results. The article is devoted to the formation of a mechanism for the implementation of the strategy of increasing the competitiveness of the Ukrainian maritime transport infrastructure, taking into account the European integration orientation. The proposed mechanism consists of key planes and their elements: methodological: (political, administrative, legal, organizational, economic, social methods; principles of consistency and complexity, flexibility, strategic importance, synergy, congruence, integration, innovation, adaptability, consistency, hierarchy; functions: goal setting – planning – organization – motivation – control – coordination); organizational and resource (institutional, organizational, financial, technological, information, socio-economic support); operating room, including a sequence of five stages (I – III stages. Development and adoption of the MTI development program of Ukraine and measures to implement the strategy at all levels of government (mega, macro, meso, micro. IV stage. Implementation of developed measures. V stage. Evaluation of the implementation of the strategy to increase the competitiveness of MTI of Ukraine). Practical implications. The directions of increasing the competitiveness of the Ukrainian maritime transport infrastructure are determined, namely: financial, personnel, regulatory, organizational, information technology and environmental. An algorithm for the implementation of the strategy to increase the competitiveness of the Ukrainian maritime transport infrastructure is presented. Value/originality. It is noted that the proposed mechanism for implementing the strategy for increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine’s maritime transport infrastructure in the context of European integration will ensure the constant, efficient, competitive, stable development of Ukraine’s maritime transport infrastructure.

This study examined Residents’ evaluation of turning transport infrastructure (road) to spaces for holding social ceremonies in the indigenous residential zone of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. Upon stratifying the city into the three identifiable zones, the core, otherwise known as the indigenous residential zone was isolated for study. Of the twenty (20) political wards in the two local government areas of the town, fifteen (15) wards that were located in the indigenous zone constituted the study area. Respondents were selected along one out of every three (33.3%) of the Trunk — C (local) roads being the one mostly used for the purpose in the study area. The respondents were the residents, commercial motorists, commercial motorcyclists, and celebrants. Six hundred and forty-two (642) copies of questionnaire were administered and harvested on the spot. The Mean Analysis generated from the respondents’ rating of twelve perceived hazards listed in the questionnaire were then used to determine respondents’ most highly rated perceived consequences of the practice. These were noisy environment, Blockage of drainage by waste, and Endangering the life of the sick on the way to hospital; the most highly rated reasons why the practice came into being; and level of acceptability of the practice which was found to be very unacceptable in the study area. Policy makers should therefore focus their attention on strict enforcement of the law prohibiting the practice in order to ensure more cordial relationship among the citizenry, seeing citizens’ unacceptability of the practice in the study area.

Russia is a very important partner in the Chinese development strategy «One Belt and One Way». Deepening of Russian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation meets the national interests and aspirations of Russia and China, playing a catalytic role in the development of bilateral relations and stabilizing the political and economic situation on the Eurasian continent and in the world. The development of Russian-Chinese trade relations have undergone many cooperative processes, and trade itself overtime has revealed its own pecularities, related to the time and political climate. Russia and China are the two largest economic powers in the world, and they have significant prospects and potential for cooperation. After China put forward the «One Belt and One Way» strategic development plan, the prospect of cooperation between the two countries has attracted an increasing attention. The article analyzes the history and current state of bileteral strategic trade relations. Some research opinions are put forward considering structural changes in the development process.

The article is devoted to the research of the latest approaches to providing of environmental management in Ukraine on the way to European integration. Based on the research, the necessity of introducing new approaches to providing of environmental management in Ukraine as one of the most important directions of European integration processes in Ukraine as a whole has been substantiated. The ways of improvement of separate directions of ecological management are offered, which are considered in the article through the prism of separate functions of ecological management and are considered innovative, in particular, for Ukraine. The European aspirations of Ukraine in the environmental sphere have been argued by the norms of the recently adopted Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, on the other. The prospective directions of introduction of the mentioned approaches in the modern practice of public administration of Ukraine, given the high environmental risks and threats faced by the entire world community, are indicated. Keywords: environmental management, public management of the environmental sphere, new approaches to providing of environmental management, eurointegration, European integration processes in the environmental sphere.

Optimizing transformations during the transition period requires the use of the entire multilateral system of mechanisms to protect national interests. The state occupies an essential place, in particular, the establishment of forms of public-private partnership in coordinating diverse initiatives and creative searches. At the same time, on the one hand, the independence and security of development force them to predominantly rely on their own forces. On the other hand, the refusal to unify the social structure (in particular, statehood) makes it easier to increase efficiency, flexibility and adaptability while maintaining loyalty to national foundations and traditions. The two most noticeable trends in the transformation of the state structure are the strengthening of totalitarian-corporate characteristics or features of democracy. Accordingly, the depersonalization of responsibility – or its embodiment in specific leaders is realizing. At the same time, as you know, selection and promotion in the corporate sector has nothing to do with democracy. And the processes of pathologizing political and economic life may imply a departure from general, direct, secret and equal elections to senior government positions, and include broad manipulative capabilities of the media sphere.

The paper examines the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy in the context of wider changes in the Middle East and in the Arab world triggered by the Arab Spring. The author argues that during this decade the Kingdom’s foreign policy has witnessed a fundamental transformation: the very essence of the Saudi foreign policy course has changed signifi cantly as the political es-tablishment has substantially revised its approaches to the country’s role in the region and in the world. Before 2011, Saudi Arabia — the land of the ‘Two Holy Mosques’ — positioned itself as a representative of the international Muslim community and in pursuing its foreign policy relied primarily on the religious authority and fi nancial capabilities. However, according to Saudi Arabia’s leaders, the Arab Spring has plunged the region into chaos and has bolstered the infl uence of various extremist groups and movements, which required a signifi cant adjustment of traditional political approaches. Saudi Arabia, more explicit than ever before, has declared itself as a nation state, as a regional leader possessing its own interests beyond the abstract ‘Muslim Ummah’. However, the author stresses that these new political ambitions do not imply a complete break with the previous practice. For example, the containment of Iran not only remains the cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy, but has become even more severe. The paper shows that it is this opposition to Iran, which is now justifi ed on the basis of protecting the national interests, that predetermines the nature and the specifi c content of contemporary Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy including interaction with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), approaches towards the solution of the Israeli-Palestinian confl ict, combating terrorism, and relations with the United States. In that regard, the transformation of Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy has, on the one hand, opened up new opportunities for strengthening the Kingdom’s interaction with Israel, but, at the same time, has increased tensions within the framework of strategic partnership with the United States. The author concludes that currently Saudi Arabia is facing a challenge of diversifying its foreign policy in order to increase its international profi le and political subjectivity.

The appearance of the new parliamentary life within the european parliament elected by direct universal franchise in june 1979. The first two turns of office saw the emergence of new political currents of european size. Via the ups and downs of european integration and the economic questions which are the community's member one concern, the new political european parliamentary game, determined by national interests and the decline of the ideological factor, comes to the fore. At least that's what the political powers of the north and south of the community put forward based on their national choices. Whereas the parliament demands an important role in the institutional system, the new european political system is looking more and more like the american model.
