Our research aims to elucidate the factors that influence the terminological implantation of a term by proposing a new typology of those factors with a method revealing how their mechanism causes terminological variation in French-language ICT. We accomplish this through an analysis of four Francophone communities: France, Quebec, Belgium, and Switzerland. After establishing a new typology, which encompasses the terminological, socio-terminological, psycho-terminological, and extra-terminological factors, we propose a hypothetical model of their mechanism by introducing three statistical concepts—dependent, independent, and moderator variables—to elucidate these factors’ relationships. We verify our model in two steps. First, for the analysis of terminological and socio- terminological factors, we examine the relations between each factor and terminological implantation of 256 French ICT terms. For this, we begin by coding the terms according to a criterion established for each factor. We then carry out a correlation analysis with Spearman’s rank correlation. Second, we analyse the psycho-terminological and extra-terminological factors with statistical tests on the answers to our questionnaire, which show significant differences between these four linguistic communities. Our analysis confirms a significant difference between the three European countries and Quebec in the mechanism of the terminological implantation factors and we conclude that the psycho-terminological and extra-terminological factors play a decisive role in this difference, which we identify as diatopic.

Background: This study aims to investigate the correlation of VEGF-B and FLT-1 co-expression with the prognosis of gastric cancer (GC). Materials & methods: Primary GC samples and adjacent tissues were obtained from 96 patients. Results: Both VEGF-B and FLT-1 were testified to be upregulated in the human GC compared with adjacent tissues. Spearman’s rank correlation analysis indicated that VEGF-B and FLT-1 expression were correlated (r = 0.321, p = 0.0015). High VEGF-B and FLT-1 co-expression patients showed poor prognosis when compared with low VEGF-B and FLT-1 co-expression patients (p = 0.0169). Conclusion: The high co-expression of VEGF-B and FLT-1 in GC shows a poor prognosis of overall survival, and targeted therapy against the interaction between VEGF-B and FLT-1 is worth further detailed analysis.

Abstract In Bangladesh, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) reported the first COVID-19 positive patients in the country on March 8, 2020. The world health organization (WHO) declared a COVID-19 epidemic on March 11, 2020. The aim of this study was related to the situation and relation of tests, infested, recovered and death of people against COVID-19 of Bangladesh. The study was carried out from 8 March 2020 to 30 April 2021 (N=419 days) to observe the status of Bangladesh towards rampant COVID-19. The data of this research was collected from IEDCR, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), and cross-checked with different newspapers and online news portals. Correlations were made using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. The total tests, infection, recovered and died were 5357294, 747761, 669995 and 11250; respectively in Bangladesh. The tests of COVID-19 were 1482, 69252, 244064, 460528, 409503, 362113, 397452, 389452, 436862, 454892, 424034, 392403 and 722848 in March to December, 2020 to January to April 2021; respectively in Bangladesh. The infestation of COVID-19 was 49, 7616, 39486, 98330, 92125, 73070, 50457, 44205, 57248, 58948, 21629, 11077 and 128555 in March to December, 2020 to January to April 2021; respectively in Bangladesh. The death of COVID-19 was 6, 163, 472, 1198, 1264, 1125, 970, 666, 718, 938, 568, 277 and 2237 in March to December, 2020 to January to April 2021; respectively in Bangladesh. The maximum number of people infested and death in April, 2021. The positive correlation found between infested with tests and recovered with tests of April, 2021 by people where (R2= 0.5289, p<0.012 and 0.0000006 p<0.05) and the negative correlation found between tests with date and death with tests (R2= 0.2567, p<0.01 and 0.3614, p<0.01). All the Spearman correlation positive with moderate to strong relation between the variables at the 0.01 level in two-tailed and the total number was n=419. The mean Spearman correlation for tests was 0.31 (range 0.553 to 0.634), for infested was 0.35 (range 0.611 to 0.880), for recovered was 0.796 (range 0.634 to 0.799), for death was 0.808 (range 0.553 to 0.880). March to December 2020 and January to February 2021, not much less than April 2021. More people infested and died in April, 2021 than previous year. This study also indicated that there is moderate to strong relation among tests, infested, recovered and death with COVID-(2020-2021).

Introduction. While the importance of digital reading in modern education is constantly increasing, there are some knowledge gaps in investigating reading patterns (reading digital and print texts). There is still little scientific understanding of how Russian schoolchildren choose the medium of reading and how children assess their reading behavior in the digital environment. The purpose of the article is to reveal the factors that influence Russian schoolchildren’s choice of a reading medium, as well as the features of their self-evaluation of digital reading practices. Materials and Methods. To achieve the goal of the study we used the following methods: a questionnaire, statistical data processing, including t-test, correlation analysis using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient (rs) for ordinal variables and Pearson's coefficient (rp) for quantitative variables, comparative analysis based on the Mann-Whitney rank test for nonparametric data and ordinal scales, ANOVA. Results. During the research a questionnaire consisting of three blocks of questions was developed, tested and distributed among the target audience. 568 students of grades 5-11 from 54 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the survey. Correlation analysis of the data made it possible to reveal some factors which influence the Russian schoolchildren’s choice of the reading medium - digital or printed. Furthermore, the authors identified the features of schoolchildren’s subjective perception of digital reading and the factors determining this perception. Conclusions. The study identified factors which significantly affect the Russian children’s preference to read digitally: the type of text, the purpose of reading, the respondents’ age, their attitude to reading and the level of reading proficiency (according to self-report data). Children’s self-evaluation of digital reading showed that they identify both negative (increased fatigue, decreased interest in reading, etc.) and positive aspects of reading digital texts (efficiency of search reading). The article considers students' satisfaction with interactive forms of training with elements of gamification. Based on the empirical study, the level of students’ satisfaction with interactive forms of training with elements of gamification has been measured. The study has been conducted at 6 educational organizations that carry out educational activities on educational programs of higher education – bachelor, specialist and master degree programs. A set of sociological methods has been used in the study: a questionnaire survey of students, an expert survey of teachers working at higher education institutions, an analysis of documents; content analysis; a method of mathematical data processing (correlation analysis, using the software package SPSS Statistics 23). Based on the analysis of the scientific literature and the results of the sociological research conducted, it has been established that the students are more satisfied with the quality of interactive sessions with elements of gamification (57.01%) than with the quality of training by traditional methods (23.36%) and the quality of the content of classes conducted by traditional methods (19.63%). It has been revealed that the use of interactive forms of training with elements of gamification is the most effective: to increase the effectiveness of mastering the training material (20%); for decision-making (17.33%); to heighten interest in learning (15.33%). The closeness of the views of students and teachers on the assessment of interactive forms of training with elements of gamification and assessment of classes conducted by traditional methods has been determined by means of Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. The obtained data of the correlation analysis have shown a rather high level of correlation and indicated the closeness of the views of students and teachers on the phenomena studied.
