The purpose of this research to describe the type of student question on learning mathematics with a scientific approach. This research at the tenth-grade student of SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo in the academic year of 2019/2020. The design of the study used descriptive quantitative. This research using purposive sampling. The research took 36 students of X MIA 6. The researchers analyzed the data by using observation, video record, and field notes. The study results show that the type of question many students convey is remembering information, concept understanding, and concept applying in learning material.

In learning mathematics, 78.5% of students do not understand the material concepts taught by the teacher on geometry material. It is because the media used by the teacher in learning mathematics is not appropriate. Inappropriate media will make it difficult for students to understand the learning material, so that it has an impact on low student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Geoboard online in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the fourth-grade elementary school's Bangun Datar learning. This type of research uses the Mix method, namely data collection using qualitative and quantitative. Sampling using purposive sampling with a total of 28 students. The research design uses Explanatory Sequential Design. This study involves several variables as research categories, namely Student responses and Concept Understanding. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics. The study results are that the variable of response and Concept Understanding has a significant influence, with a value of sig <0.05, and on each dominant variable in the excellent category, so that online geoboard media affects students' understanding of the flat wake concept. Therefore, Geoboard online media can be used as an alternative learning that is fun and suiTablefor children in elementary school. The implication of this research is to use learning media in helping students understand technology-based concepts.

The research was aimed to investigate the use of diary writing to overcome students’ problem in writing recount texts. The problems include writing a recount text in chronological order, writing correct verb changes and developing ideas. Classroom action research was conducted by applying diary as the technique to help students overcome their problem. There were two cycles conducted in this research. The data were taken from the students’ individual score, observation checklist, and field notes. The result showed that teaching writing through diary writing improved students’ writing recount text. Referring to the research findings, the data showed that diary writing improved students’ recount text, as seen in their score. These in terms of score, students’ improved from 71.96 to 76.03 and improving the motivation to the students which makes them eager to write also makes the teaching learning process better. In conclusions, students’ writing recount text of the tenth grade students of class IPS 1 of SMAN 4 Sungai Raya in academic year 2018/2019 improved by using diary.

The aim of this study is to find whether Think – Talk – Write Strategy works effectively on improving the tenth grade students’ achievement in writing recount texts and to know the students’ responses after being taught by using Think – Talk – Write Strategy . in order to  achieve the objectives of study, a classroom action research was designed and carried out in this study. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class X- MIA2  OF SMA Santo Yoseph Medan in academic year 2018/2019. Test, observation sheet, and field notes were used as a instruments for collecting data. The results of the study showed significant improvement of the students’ skill in writing. It is proved by the students’ mean score of each test: pre-test was 57,5%, formative test was 67,22% and post-test  was 83,88% . In addition, the, the analysis result of the observation sheet and field notes showed Think – Talk – Write Strategy channge the students’ learning behavior being better than before. They were more enthusiastic during the teaching learning process in each cycle. The analysis result of questionnaire showed that Think – Talk – Write Strategy was useful to most of students to improve their learnig interest in writing recount text. Based on the results of those study instruments, it can be concluded that Think – Talk – Write Strategy as learning strategy gives the improvement to students’ skill in writing recount text. It is recommended for English teacher to apply Think – Talk – Write Strategy in teaching writing skill in order to improve students’ skill in writing expecially recount text.

The research was pointed to progress the students’ speaking abilities of the tenth of  SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan by actualizing the role-play technique. It was carried out based on the strategy that had been arranged some time recently. The observation was action research. The subjects of this inquire about were 32 students of lesson tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan. This research is based on the problems in SMAN 10 Padang, namely the low attention of students during the learning process takes place. One of the factors that influenced it was the use of cellphones during the learning process. Students tend to use mobile phones not only to find learning material, but also use it for personal purposes such as replying to messages or playing games. Submission of material by teachers tends to be less interesting and monotonous, to overcome students' lack of attention in learning using PowerPoint. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of using Powerpoint in increasing the learning attention of class X students at SMAN 10 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design. The population in this study were all tenth grade students of SMAN 10 Padang. The sample in this study were class X students of SMA N 10 Padang Academic Year 2018/2019 and the samples used were students of class X MIA 2 as a control class and X MIA 3 as an experimental class. The instrument used to assess students' attention is the student learning attention assessment sheet filled in by the observer. Based on the results of the study using the t-test it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of PowerPoint in increasing student learning attention. It was proven that the average attention of the experimental class was higher than the control class.

E-learning generally presented the same learning material because it considered the characteristics of all users to be homogeneous. In fact, every student had different characteristics in the learning process. The objectives of this study were: (1) To produce a simulation content and digital communication based on  Dynamic Intellectual Learning with Visual Modality for the tenth grade at SMK Negeri 1 Seririt, (2) To find out the teacher's response and the tenth grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Seririt on Simulation Content and Digital Communication based on DIL with Visual Modality that had been generated. The method of this study was a research and development referred to the plomp model. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade of accounting program at SMK Negeri 1 Seririt in the academic year 2017/2018. There were various try out had been carried out, namely: validity testing by experts and effectiveness testing by using the Hake formula. The results showed that the simulation content and digital communication based on DIL with Visual Modality was valid and practically use: the effectiveness testing produced N-gain of 0.74 included in the effective category and the data analysis of the teacher and the students respond showed that it was categorized in the positive category. It showed that the output was valid, practical and effective to be used.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematical thinking skills using a realistic mathematical approach. The research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively and participatively. The subject of the research was the students of class VIII B, State Junior High School 2 Giriwoyo, in the academic year 2017/2018 with 32 students. While the object of research is the whole process of learning mathematics through the application of a realistic mathematical approach implemented in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 2 Giriwoyo. Based on data obtained from observations, field notes, questionnaires, interviews, tests of cycle I and cycle II, as well as documentation, the researcher concludes that mathematics learning activities through the application of a realistic mathematical approach in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 2 Giriwoyo are carried out according to plans that have been prepared . In addition, the purpose of the action taken is to improve students' mathematical thinking abilities achieved. Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Approach, Mathematical Thinking Ability

The development of technology and communication has an impact on all aspects of life, including in the learning process using media. This study aims to develop e-learning platform by using Moodle on logarithmic material for ten grader students of SMA Negeri 1 Sewon. This development research uses the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were learning material expert, learning media expert, and 10 grader students of SMA Negeri 1 Sewon. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The data analysis techniques were conducted by converting qualitative data into quantitative data using a Likert scale. The results obtained from experts in the material included in the feasible category, the results obtained by media experts included in the feasible category, and the results of student assessment obtained as a feasible category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the learning media developed can be used in the process of learning mathematics.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan meningkatnya keterampilan menulis deskripsi berbahasa Jawa siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Kebumen dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses dan media foto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas atau classroom action research. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian tindakan Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X2 SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, catatan lapangan dan tes. Validitas yang digunakan adalah validitas demo-krasi, validitas proses dan validitas dialogis. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian tindakan ini adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) siswa dapat menemukan ide lebih cepat, (2) siswa dapat membuat kerangka karangan, (3) siswa dapat mengembangkan kerang-ka karangan, (4) siswa dapat berpikir sistematis, (5) siswa semakin antusiasnya dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis karangan, (6) siswa paham melakukan proses mengarang. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHOTOGRAPH MEDIA TO IMPROVE THE DESCRIPTION WRITING SKILL OF THE STUDENTS AT SMA NEGERI 2 KEBUMEN   Abstract This research is aimed to describe and to explain the improvement in the description writing skill of the tenth grade students at SMA N 2 Kebumen by using  approach process and photography media. This research is classroom action research or classroom action research. The design used in this research was action research design by Kemmis and Taggart. The subject of the research was X2 class students at SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen in the academic year of 2011/2012, consisted of 32 students. The data collection was done by using observation, field notes and description during the time of the learning activity and also tests (pre test and post test). The validity used was democratic validity because the researcher truthfully collaborated either with the teacher and the students, the research also used process validity, marked by accuracy in the research process and dialogic validity can be shown that the research was implemented by having dialogue with the teacher and the collaborator to seek for critics and suggestion. Reliability in this action research was based on contextual and situational and localized. The technique used to analyze the data in this action research was descriptive. The monitoring on the learning process shows that (1) the students can find ideas faster, (2) the students can make essay framework, (3) the students can develop essay framework, (4) the students can think systematically, (5) the students are more enthusiastic in attending the learning of writing essay, (6) the students understand the process of writing essay.
