This study aimed to develop a scale to determine the democratic behavior levels of children in early childhood. The study group included a total of 486 children attending kindergartens and primary school nursery classes in Melikgazi, Kayseri. Scale reliability was tested by using intra-group correlation values, item analysis coefficients, Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient (0,98), and the Hotelling T2 test result [ 830,12 and (p<0.001)]. For validity testing purposes, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient, KMO test result (0,97), the Bartlett test and item analysis (p<0.001) were calculated. It was consequently decided that the scale was suitable for factoring, and AFA was used in principal component analyses. Following this, the structural equation model of DFA was performed, which confirmed that the model suited the data and that the 3-factor structure of the scale was valid. Confirmed as valid and reliable, the scale consisted of a total of 38 items in the sub-dimensions of "Knowing Your Rights", "Autonomous Behaviors" and "Democratic Behaviors". The highest score possible from the scale is 190, while the lowest possible score is 38.

In this study, we tested the validity across two scales addressing conspiratorial beliefs that may influence behaviors related to public health, government, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The 4-item Conspiratorial Thinking Scale and 3-item Anti-Expert Sentiment Scale were validated across 24 languages and dialects using the COVIDiSTRESSII Global Survey dataset, with 12,261 participants who completed the survey in languages with greater than 100 participants per language. We employed confirmatory factor analysis, measurement invariance test, and measurement alignment for internal consistency testing. To test convergent validity of the two scales, we assessed correlations with trust in seven agents related to government, science, and public health. Although scalar invariance was not achieved when measurement invariance test was conducted initially, we found that both scales can be employed in further international studies with measurement alignment. Moreover, both conspiratorial and anti-expert beliefs were significantly and negatively correlated with trust in all agents. Findings from this study provide supporting evidence for the validity of both scales across 24 languages for future large-scale international research.

Facing Covid-19, the government responded with a new normal policy. The public must implement the 5M health protocol to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19, such as wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobility. Through the policy, a compliance action can be investigated. speaking about gender, gender differences seem to influence the health behavior of men and women. According to White, gender is a description of the behavior patterns of men or women which recognized in social life. This study aimed to determine the correlation between gender and compliance with health protocols in the New Normal Era. The population in this study were all students studying at the top 5 universities in Riau Province using the Propionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The method used is a quantitative method with data collection techniques using questionnaires and observation. In this study using construct validity (construct validity). Testing the validity of this research instrument was carried out with the help of the SPSS 25 application/software and using the Pearson bivariate technique. Meanwhile, the instrument reliability test in this study used the Cronbach Alpha Formula technique and the SPSS 25 in windows program. Abstract. The authentic and hubristic pride (A&HP) model is the domineering paradigm in pride research. Authentic pride (AP) comprises feelings of accomplishment and self-worth, whereas hubristic pride (HP) includes conceit and arrogance. We provide a German version of the A&HP scale ( Tracy & Robins, 2007 ), the GAHPS. We found a good fit for a two-factor solution. Internal consistencies were high. Nomological validity was supported for personality, self-esteem, and narcissism (Study 1, N = 569), status (Study 2, N = 565), and other emotions (Study 3, N = 204). In Study 4 ( N = 184), AP and HP had different associations with prosocial and antisocial behavior. We found high self-other agreement (109 dyads) for AP but not for HP. Further, people used different words to describe AP and HP when they described themselves and peers, thus suggesting that the two forms are associated with different linguistic styles. Finally, using an Ant Colony Optimization algorithm, we derived a short form for the scale. Researchers are advised to choose the standard or short scale, depending on the research purpose. This research broadens the validity testing of the A&HP model and, for the first time, provides linguistic correlates of the two forms of pride.
