The objective of this study was to find out the effect of temporal conjunction mastery and students’ achievement in writing procedure text of the 2017/2018 eleventh year students of SMA Swasta Persiapan Stabat were divided into two classes. They were XI IPA1and XI IPA2. There are 60 students. That number then became the sample of this research. The design of the study was categorized as an experiment quantitative research. It meant there were two groups. They were experimental group that received treatment. This study was conducted by an experimental research. It aimed to measure the students’ ability on descriptive writing. Writing is one of four basic skills. And it is one productive skill in English. It is very important in studying English. The writers used the written test. The writers, as the learning input in understanding the nature of procedure text and the ways to teach procedure text for Senior High School Students effectively and efficiently. The data were acquired by using written test. The test consisted of two types; they were pre-test and post-test. After analyzing the data, the finding indicates that result of analysis was 3.50. It was found out that observed was higher than t-table or it can be said (3.50 > 2.002;α=0.05). It means that temporal conjunction mastery and students’ achievement in writing procedure text of the 2017/2018 eleventh year students of SMA Swasta Persiapan Stabat.

This research aimed to see if learning by teaching (LBT) could really be implemented in classrooms. This case study intended to discover if LBT was applicable to teach tenses. This quantitative research involved 50 students from the two of 8th grade classes in one junior high school in Jakarta, one of which acted as the control group and the other one as the experimental group. This research focused on the learning of five tenses, namely the simple present tense, the simple past tense, the simple future tense, the simple present continuous tense, and the simple present perfect tense. A pre-test was employed before the research started and after the treatment had been given to the experimental group, a post-test was given a week after, and another post-test was given three months later. The results show that LBT helps the subjects learn better. Moreover, they also remember their materials longer. Therefore, LBT can be a good student-centered activity which has been proven successful.

The purpose of this study are: (1) to determine the effectiveness of group counseling and reduce anxiety students face the test, (2) to determine the effectiveness of group counseling models with relaxation techniques to reduce students' anxiety in facing the exam. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental research design , using the initial test design (pretest) and the final treatment (posttest). This research involved PGRI 1 Palembang junior high school students. The steps taken are: (1) preparation of the experimental group, (2) giving the pretest in the experimental group (3) giving tretment or treatment to the experimental group (4) giving post test in the experimental group, (5) the final effectiveness of group counseling with relaxation techniques assisted by instrumental music to reduce the anxiety of students facing exams. The analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the field test, the level of anxiety students face the test has decreased after participating in group counseling activities with relaxation techniques. Shown by changes in the level of anxiety of students facing the pre-test (initial evaluation) and post-test (final evaluation) that is equal to 84% (pre) to 45% (post). Wilcoxon test results obtained Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) of 0.008 with a significant 5% (<0.05) so that it can be concluded that group counseling services with relaxation techniques assisted by instrumental music are effective to reduce students' anxiety in facing the exam keywords: group counseling. This study was aimed at investigating the effect of Description, Interpretation andEvaluation (DIE) Technique on the students achievement in writing descriptivetext. The research was conducted in experimental design. The subject of this studywas the 2013/2014 grade XI students of SMA N1 Tanjungpura. The sample thatwas involved in this research was 60 students that were chosen randomly, that ineach group there were 30 students. The experimental group was taught byapplying Description, Interpretation and Evaluation (DIE) Technique, whilecontrol group was taught by applying Lecture Method. The instrument used in thisstudy was an subjective test. The data were taken by administering the pre-testand post-test to both of experimental and control groups. The data were analyzedby using t-test formula, the analysis showed that the score of the students in theexperimental group was significantly higher than that of students in the controlgroup at the level of significance 0,5 with the degree of freedom (df) 58; the tobservedis 3,3 while the t-table is 2,00. To obtain the reliability of the test, thewriter used the Pearson Product Moment Formula. The result of the study showedthat the reliability of the test was 0,92. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) isrejected.

ABSTRACTThis study investigates the effects of Instagram on students’ descriptive text writing of Islamic Senior High School students as well as to find out their perceptions of using Instagram for learning descriptive text writing. In doing so, the subjects consisted of 48 students who were in tenth grade. Then they were divided into two equal experimental and control groups (N=24).Their age ranged between 16 and 17 years old. Gender of participants was not considered as a variable in the study. This study used convergent parallel mixed-method whereas pre-test and post-test were administrated to collect quantitative data and questionnaire was given to collect qualitative data. The experimental group was taught descriptive text writing via Instagram application, whereas the control group followed Facebook application. Analyzing the data through the independent sample t-test revealed that with the help of Instagram application, the experimental group outperformed the control group in terms of writing descriptive text. Furthermore, Islamic Senior High School students had a positive attitude toward utilization of Instagram application.Keywords: Instagram, students, descriptive text writing

This study was investigated the effects of Digital Guessing Games strategy on students?  speaking ability of Islamic Senior High School students as well as to find out their perceptions of using it. In doing so, the subjects consisted of 44 students who were in tenth grade. Then they were divided into two equal experimental and control groups randomly (N=22). This study used explanatory sequential mixed-method whereas pre-test and post-test were administrated to collect quantitative and questionnaire was given to collect qualitative data.The experimental group was taught speaking using DGG application, whereas the control group using conventional guessing game. Analyzing the data through the independent sample t-test revealed the effectiveness of DGG application, the experimental group out performed the control group of speaking narrative text. Furthermore, an Islamic Senior High School students in Tasikmalaya had a positive attitude toward utilization of DGG application.

The Basic English Speech Support is audio with transcription which is composed of the features of pronunciation that is purposely compiled to enhance pronunciation skills specifically, the sounds of English, stress, intonation, and linking. It is applied within the study with the aim of measuring its effectiveness to the pronunciation skills of Senior High School students. The study is designed to evaluate, validate and determine the effectiveness of Basic English Speech Support to the Senior High School, Grade 12, Accountancy, Business and Management students in Libertad National High School. English-teacher Evaluators evaluated the audio and its transcription. The design involved the experimental group and the control group which were carefully selected through the randomization process. The data gathered were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential tools such as mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results revealed that students from the experimental group got a higher mean gain compared to the control group. It was factually and statistically confirmed that the utilization of Basic English Speech Support served as a significant element in teaching pronunciation and evidently, advances better learning among Senior High School students.

This research aims to improve senior high school students’ physics problem-solving skills through learning used IBMR learning model. This research was a pre-an experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The Methods of data collection used validation and test. The materials used to teach were valid category by two experts and can be used to practice physics problem-solving skills. The average post-test score physics problem-solving ability was 73.24 with an N-gain of 0.59 was classified as moderate. The success of IBMR learning model-based devices in practicing problem-solving abilities can be seen in the increase in the average score in each indicator of problem-solving abilities. The indicator of understanding the problem had the highest post-test average score of 94.58 with an N-gain of 0.89 in the high category. The problem-solving indicator had the lowest posttest average score was 58.22 with N-gain 0.39 and mean that it was the moderate category. Based on the results study, it can be concluded that the learning used by IBMR learning model can practice the ability to solve physics problems on heat material and its displacement. Learning with the IBMR learning model was expected to train students in solving physics problems. The stages in the IBMR learning model can help students

This research aims to know the influence of guided inquiry learning with flash based Invertebramedia on the learning outcome of senior high school students. The research was done in SMA N 1 Pamotan using Quasi Experimental Design. The sample of the study was X MIPA 1 class (experimental group) and X MIPA 2 class (control group) which was taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there were increasing of cognitive’s learning outcome of the experiment group was 80% and control group was 34.2%. There was a significant difference in the average of cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental group and control group. Analysis of affective and psychomotor aspects showed that learning outcome the experimental group higher that the control group. So, the activity of students during learning process was enchancement. The average of the student’s questionnaire responses after joining the learning was 84.9% in good criteria. The teacher and the students also gave good responses on the implementation of the learning in general. The conclusion of the research is the application of guided inquiry learning with Invertebramedia based on flash influence on high school student’s learning outcomes.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of blended learning model on senior high school students’ achievement. This study used experimental research method with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The study was carried out with 63 students attending information and communication technology course, where 31 of whom were in the experimental group and 32 of whom were in the control group. In the experimental group, teacher used blended learning as instructional model, while in the control group, the course was taught based on traditional teaching model. Data collected from the result of learning objective test with 35 questions. The research showed that the learning result of experimental group is higher than the learning result of control group. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the blended learning model contributed more to the students’ achievement.
