Woman: a Breach of the Paradigm of Reproductive FunctionAbstractBefore the occurred changes it is sought a new configuration in the countryside, seeking to diversify the products and agricultural and non-agricultural activities, since both are configured able to promote the inclusion of farmers in their work. In this context of changes, arise pluriactivities seeking financial support to families, with respect to be a supplemental element in family income, thus creating a better quality of life and setting these families in the countryside. In this regard it is noted the importance of analyzing the women’s role front the development of pluriactivities in the field, because today it is seen a change in the women’s role in the rural family context. Women were seen only with reproductive role, and this role was played only in the domestic ambit and it is related in synthesis  to housework and child care, while for men it is the productive role because they are directly linked to the development of agriculture and cattle raising, activities that are generating cash income. This paper seeks to investigate the paradigm break of the women’s reproductive function from development of pluriactivities. For this it was used the literature as a methodological procedure, so that the authors based on books, scientific articles and governmental documents. It has been found through research that rural women are increasingly entering in the labor market through the development of pluriactivities, so additional income is generated to the family by women's work, so that the woman beyond having the reproductive role has the productive too, by the fact that it generates income through its performance in the development of non-agricultural activities.

Even though microfinance institutions have their principles and guidelines that have room for before women and working to improve their families’ lives, women participation is not significant in all of the microfinance services and their activities. The situation is also similar in the study area. The study’s objectives were to assess the extent and status of women participation in Microcredit, determine factors that affect women participation in microcredit service to improve livelihood and assess the constraints that hinder women’s participation in microcredit service from enhancing their livelihood. The total number of rural women microcredit users in Omo and Vision Microfinance was 2331; from this 100 sample, respondents were selected using Yemane (1967)formula and based on PPS through a simple random sampling method. The extent and status of women participation in microcredit service have been measured by calculating the score value of the participation index. The participation status of women has been categorized into low, medium and high, which are 38, 20 and 38 respondents, respectively. Mean difference, percentage, oneway ANOVA, spearman correlation and chi-square test were used with an ordered logit model to analyze the data. Out of 17 hypothesized variables, 7 of them, namely, age, Family income, Livestock holding size, household expenditure, the experience of borrower, achievement motivation and attitudinal level, are significant to the dependent variable. According to the respondents’ econometric analysis age, the respondents negatively influence the level of participation, and itis significant. It is better to consider the mean age between 37, which is the medium age group. Therefore, policy-makers, actors, MFI industries/institutions, and planners should develop a positive attitude and motivational achievement through training and awareness creation programs to promote women’s equal opportunities control over their household economic resources.

The main purpose of the study was to determine the extent of participation of rural women in the cultivation of vegetables and fruit trees around the homestead areas. The study was conducted on married women of four selected villages of Raumari upazilla under Kurigram district. Data were collected from randomly selected 103 women by using pre-tested interview schedule during the month of May, 2013. In measuring the participation of rural women in homestead farm activities, cultivation of vegetables and fruit trees were considered as dependent variables. Each aspect consisted of 15 activities under three sub-headings. A three point Likert-type scale was used to measure each activity. The independent variables were measured by employing prevailing standard methods. Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) was used in order to explore the relationships between the concerned variables. About 59 percent of the rural women had high participation in vegetables cultivation while only 10.68 percent of them had low participation in the cultivation of fruit trees. Among 15 statements of different aspects in relation to vegetables cultivation, tilling by spade was ranked first. In case of the cultivation of fruit trees, the highest proportion (46.60 percent) of rural women had medium participation and irrigation after planting was in the first position. Agriculture knowledge, attitude and innovativeness had positive relationship with the cultivation of vegetables. On the other hand, education, family income, cosmopoliteness behaviour and attitude had positive relationship with the cultivation of fruit trees.
