The study aims to analyze the importance of renewable energy and to assess the progress made by Romania comparing to European Union and to targets set by Community institutions. We consider that both economic issues such as job creation or reduction of import dependency, but also ecological issues including reducing greenhouse gas emissions are important in discussions about renewable energy in rural areas in Romania. By using linear regression it has been identified a strong correlation in Romania, for period 2004–2014, between share of renewable resources in gross final energy consumption and import dependency. Taking into account that energetic independence is a problem of great importance for each country, the paper aims to identify unused renewable energy potential in rural areas and also opportunities for developing renewable energy sector based on the resources that can be exploited with high efficiency, action that will generate economic and social positive effects. Our results reveal that Romania has a high development potential of rural areas using renewable energy because Romania has a high volume of renewable resources (sun, wind, water). Under these circumstances it is necessary to adopt the policies in order to support projects referring to these types of energy.

Sub Saharan Africa has a great renewable energy potential. Rural areas are suffering from poor energy access. Some systems designed to address this issue are still faced with some difficulties. Appropriate approaches and energy plant development will help remote areas to address the issue of electricity access. The current development of some micro hydro and micro solar energy plants is of poor quality and maintenance, sometimes resulting in failures. There are also some common mistakes made when promoting (designing) an energy system in an African environment. Identifying issues from local constraints and lessons learned will contribute to determining the appropriate sizing, technology and tools to correctly develop micro hydro and micro solar energy plants.

Providing energy to areas isolated from the electricity grid through the use of a smart integrated renewable energy system (SIRES) is proposed in this study for Valparaiso, Chile. The study analyzes the process of identifying the appropriate size of a SIRES considering technical and economic factors. An optimization model proposed in the literature was modified, and a subsequent spatial–temporal analysis of the different variables was conducted. The model comprises locally available renewable energy resources, such as biomass, biogas, wind power, solar photovoltaic, and thermal power. Furthermore, it was used to determine the energy potential of each of the isolated areas, identifying those areas in which the SIRES could be implemented as a sustainable solution. The design simulates the cost of the initial investment and energy generation in the chosen areas. The study also includes the selection of different system components and the use of the general model to determine the optimal combination of energy subsystems for isolated areas with the aim of minimizing the cost of energy generations. Finally, an economic evaluation showed that the use of a SIRES based mainly on solar energy supported by biomass, biogas, and mini-wind power costs approximately three times less than extending the electricity grid network.

<p><span>Countries seek to increase their economic growth and development levels effectively by using their production factors. The living standards at the aforementioned regions to rise up to the desired level via regarded economic development. The main purpose of the local and regional development is to enhance underdeveloped and developing regions’ limited income level and increase the business opportunities when compared with the developed regions. One of the prominent actors in the local and regional development is undoubtedly energy. Especially, recently, the demand to the renewable energy sources usage has been increasing.<span>  </span>Renewable energy sources are evaluated according to their potentials. When a region has a renewable energy potential, establishing and running renewable energy sources based power plants will have positive effects on regional development. In this study, energy concept, which is one of the most important inputs of regional development, is discussed. Current usage potential of the Thrace Region’s current energy sources are presented and the effects of renewable energy sources on regional development are studied when they are used. </span></p>

It is very much true that people living in most of the rural areas depend on renewable energy resources for their daily domestic requirements. They either get an interrupted power supply from the traditional commercial electric supply or in some cases where the people living in a remote location may not get the traditional supply due to the distance. The people in the rural area already started using renewable energy resources for their daily needs. But it is seen that most of the rural area are potential to use many forms of renewable energy resources. There is a major requirement in combining more than one form of such energy to fulfill the needs. This paper explains the different methods of production of energy using the renewable resource in the rural area and a model to combine them to use the energy efficiently. This model suggests the controller to be designed which will use the energy produced from renewable energy efficiently. This controller has a responsibility to avoid the energy from the traditional method as long as there is a supply of energy from renewable resources. The controller uses the traditional energy only when there is no alternative energy supply from renewable energy.

The Renewable energy potential in Jordan is enormous as it lies within the top of the world countries renewable resources. Electricity demand in Jordan plays a major role in the high amount of energy requring to cover the needs of heating, cooling, lighting, etc. For that, the availability of the wind distribution information becomes essential to help in the design and building of the wind energy application. In this study, a wind distribution map is provided of all Jordan governorates: Irbid, Mafraq, Ajloun, Jarash, Amman, Zarqa, Madaba, Balqa, Karak, Tafilah, Mann and Aqaba.

As a way of replacing traditional energy sources and enhancing human development, renewable energy is an essential demand in our daily routine worldwide because it can minimize greenhouse gas emissions and diminish global warming leading to economic growth. Therefore, Myanmar possesses attractive natural resources that will exploit renewable energy sources for many applications. This review paper will contribute to sustainable power sector development currently in Myanmar with these considerations in mind. Based on the renewable energy sources in Myanmar, it is notable that hydropower stands a major role in electrification, biomass allows for cooking and heating in rural areas and then solar energy potential is significantly higher than wind energy. Besides, Myanmar welcomed especially wind and solar projects to fulfill the ultimate goal of achieving green earth power in the long term. Moreover, Myanmar’s renewable energy; hydropower and solar, mentioned 3302 MW in May 2020.

Sub-Saharan nations are facing a lot of challenges for the planning of their future energy sector. Particularly, the rural areas of Sub-Saharan nations bear scarcity of energy access as there is a lack of grid facilities, less financial and technical support, pressure from foreign institutions, excess of energy export etc. Although Ethiopia is growing as a leader of energy sector in Sub-Saharan region, it is also facing numerous problems similar to other African nations. In this paper, authors have conducted a detailed study of Ethiopian power sector. This study includes the complete background and overview of current energy sector in Ethiopia. The key factors which affect the development of energy sector such as international energy export, policy framework, role of government and regulatory framework are also discussed. It is observed that there is a huge renewable energy potential in Ethiopia which is under utilized, and can be used as a major resource for rural energy access. The authors recommend that a new policy framework and subsidies for renewable energy generation, motivational awareness, technical training, improvement in organizational efficiency and managerial skills, arrangement of financial instruments for new projects and easy ICTs based mobile banking programme should be initiated as well as improved to achieve sustainable growth, and 100% energy access by increasing renewable energy production.

The article analyses the role of renewable energy in the process of the development of the energy market of the East African Community (EAC) . The author underlines the necessity of finding solutions for such challenges as rising wood and charcoal prices, deforestation, lack of affordable and reliable electricity for a large number of consumers. The study reveals that nowadays the percentage of people with access to modern sources of energy is very low, varying from 7 % in Burundi to 36% in Kenya, although the EAC countries made significant progress in 2000s. Most people in rural areas rely on traditional biomass for cooking and heating, which leads to ecological and health problems. The author concludes that renewable energy development is considered by the Community as one of the prospective ways for providing energy to remote regions in view of abundant solar, wind and geothermal resources. Their strategy aims at the construction of micro and mini hydro stations, stand-alone solar PV systems and off-grids for rural population usage. The study shows that the investment in off-grid renewables has been steadily rising in recent times . Analyzing grid-connected power generation electricity, the author elicits that it is also based on renewable electricity, which accounts for 65% of the total amount. Kenya, with the highest installed capacity in this sector, is investing mainly in geothermal, solar and wind sources of energy, while the others are focusing on hydropower and solar. For the purpose of attracting private investment, the EAC partner states adopted different regulations, including Feed-in Tariff, zero-VAT and GET FIT Programme. The author assumes that renewable energy financing is one of the main challenges despite the support of different international financial institutions, such as the World Bank, UNIDO, AfDB and others. Nowadays energy efficiency measures are becoming important instruments for the EAC countries resulted in power savings. The other important trend is increasing cooperation among them due to their grid-connected power systems in the East African Power Pool. In this context, in November 2017, the EAC Partner States adopted Energy Security Policy Framework, in order to ensure the sustainable development of their energy sector.

Energi terbarukan adalah salah satu masalah energi paling terkenal saat ini. Ada beberapa sumber potensial energi terbarukan. Salah satu energi terbarukan yang umum dan sederhana adalah energi matahari. Masalah besar ketersediaan energi saat ini adalah terbatasnya sumber energi konvensional seperti bahan bakar. Ini semua sumber energi memiliki banyak masalah karena memiliki jumlah energi yang terbatas. Penting untuk membuat model dan analisis berdasarkan ketersediaan sumber energi. Energi matahari adalah energi terbarukan yang paling disukai di negara-negara khatulistiwa saat ini. Tergantung pada produksi energi surya di daerah tertentu untuk memiliki desain dan analisis energi matahari yang baik. Untuk memiliki analisis yang baik tentang itu, dalam makalah ini kami membuat model prediksi energi surya berdasarkan data iradiasi matahari. Kami membuat model energi surya dan angin dengan menggunakan Metode Autoregresif Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA). Model ini diimplementasikan oleh R Studio yang kuat dari statistik. Sebagai hasil akhir, kami mendapatkan model statistik solar yang dibandingkan dengan data aktualRenewable energy is one of the most fomous issues of energy today. There are some renewable energy potential sources. One of the common n simple renewable energy is solar energy. The big problem of the availability of energy today is the limeted sources of conventional enery like fuel. This all energy sources have a lot of problem because it has a limited number of energy. It is important to make a model and analysis based on the availability of the energy sources. Solar energy is the most prefered renewable energy in equator countries today. It depends on the production of solar energy in certain area to have a good design and analysis of  the solar energy. To have a good analysis of it, in this paper we make a prediction model of solar energy based on the data of solar irradiation. We make the solar and wind enery model by using Autoregresif Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) Method. This model is implemented by R Studio that is a powerfull of statistical. As the final result, we got the statistical model of solar comparing with the actual data
