In our society, everybody seems concerned by sustainable development, however, when you discuss with European students, you realize that in many institutions, there is not much done and that for the time being it is always the same European universities that behave as "good students" and answer surveys and enquiries; it is necessary to find a way to make things evolve everywhere! Accreditation agencies are one of the solutions to improve the involvement of all the HEIs. The Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs (CTI) is in France the body in charge of authorizing engineering universities the right to deliver the title of engineer. It states its own accreditation criteria that can evolve according to CTI's own ongoing reflexion or to the point of view of its stakeholders, as required by ENQA. Regarding social responsibility and SD CTI consulted for 3 years organisations directly concerned by SD and defined in February 2014 the item that must appear in HEI's self evaluation reports. Those points as well the demarche are presented in the paper

Purpose. The work is devoted to functional, ceremonial and cultural-historical interpretation of the so-called kočidykcrutches often found at the sites belonging to various cultures of the steppe belt of Eurasia and popular during the Early Iron Age. The aim of our study is to describe different interpretations of this group of finds. We considered the accumulated historiographical experience and also tried to model experimentally the functional use of the artifacts analyzed. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the possibility of referring to these materials from the point of view of the hypothesis of multiculturalism. We discuss a number of variants how to reconstruct the functional use of this category of finds. In particular, the crutches considered could have been used as suspensions and as belt fasteners. Results. We noticed that regardless of the sex of the buried people, the location of the crutches in graves is the same, i. e. they are found on the right or left side, at least two on the femur or pelvic bones of the skeleton if the buried person had a belt and it was buttoned, and on the chest, knees or feet, if the belt was unbuttoned and was lying along the body. The crutches can either be a part of the complex, or the only element of the waist fittings that indirectly points to a certain self–sufficiency of crutches as a part of the burial shroud. There are controversial interpretations of the ceremonial meaning of the artifacts. Based on the hypothesis of multiculturalism of the population of the Upper Ob River region during the Early Iron Age, we provide some new cultural and historical interpretations of the crutches. A variety of types of crutches confirms the assumption that within the existence of the subject complex of clothing worn by the population of the Upper Ob River region in the second half of the I Millennium BC, there were clear signs of innovations. Conclusion. Studying the range of issues associated with the interpretation of crutches remains a relevant and promising task in archaeological research. Further accumulation of material and its understanding in a broader rather than narrow territorial context might allow us to identify the centers of distribution of certain types of crutches and the processes of their trans cultural incorporation into the traditional use by the population of the Upper Ob River region in the Early Iron Age.

In the context of the current economy, the concept of corporate social responsibility has gained momentum, and its significance derives from the attitude of companies that have understood the importance of the impact of their activity on the environment in which they conduct their operations. The present study emphasizes the fact that CSR has an equal importance for those companies of varying sizes that operate in developing countries, such as Romania. There are still a lot of challenges regarding their implementation. The study focuses on establishing the level of CSR report by the Romanian companies within the European Union framework by taking into account the extent to which they are familiar with the CSR reporting guidelines in order to identify the degree of applying the Global Reporting Guidelines (GRI) when designing the sustainability reports. The data regarding the acceptance of the voluntary report and its correlation to the sustainable development as a strategic focus of the management of entities, the usefulness, the necessity and the obstacles of voluntary reporting were gathered based on a questionnaire. Between 2015–2017, 61 Romanian companies of various sizes had to answer specific questions. The research is based on the descriptive statistics as well as the correlation analysis method. The findings of the research proved that the acceptance of the management in terms of the sustainable development is in a close relationship with implementing voluntary reporting and the willingness to develop a favorable image of the company within a competitive market. The study also identified the differences that exist between a company’s success on the market that is linked to their development and the economic factors that characterize each and every field of activity. The present study focuses on defining the term ‘social responsibility’ from the point of view of its concepts. It also aims at presenting the social responsibility reporting methods used by the companies from the European Union countries. These can be a starting point for those companies that have not had the chance of applying them yet.

The purpose of this research is to develop a legal mechanism for ensuring the right to access environmental information to ensure sustainable development of society. In the context of our study we developed an understanding of information human rights - the right to collect, disseminate, use and preserve environmental information is fundamental and natural. We understand information human rights as a group of rights with a center around freedom of information, the right to environmental information, the right to communication in environmental sphere, the right to access to environmental information that is public or socially significant, the right to privacy, and the protection of personal data. In the EU, access to environmental information is regulated by Directive 2003/4/EC (Aarhus Convention, 1998). Citizens of the EU have the right to receive this information within one month from the moment they ask and not to mention why they need it. In addition, public authorities are required to actively disseminate information on environmental information at their disposal. In Ukraine defined system of a jurisdiction whose collection includes different types of environmental information and formation of information on environmental policy. But the issue of public administration in the field of environmental protection is currently split between different executive bodies; there is no united information policy and the body responsible for it. There is no obligation for the authorities to inform the population even in crisis situations. This study will form the legal framework to ensure the right of access to environmental information in Ukraine by introducing the position of Information Commissioner - an official, the competence of which includes monitoring of compliance of information law with information policy in the environmental field.

The article is devoted to the characteristics of the security order as one of the acts of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and the practice of its application. It has been noted that the introduction of this executive document into the practice of the body of constitutional jurisdiction is due to the beginning of the functioning of the institute of constitutional complaint in Ukraine. Also it has been noted that the basis for securing a constitutional complaint is the need to prevent the irreversible consequences that may occur in connection with the execution of the final court decision. The way to ensure a constitutional complaint is to establish a temporary ban on certain actions. The article analyzes the first security order of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and highlights the debatable issues that arose after its publication. Particular attention has been paid to the study of the most significant problems related to the legislative consolidation and functioning of the institution of the security order. The issues concerning the authorities of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine authorized to issue a security order have been analyzed. It has been stated that, along with the Grand Chamber, it is expedient to grant this right to the Senate, as they are the main subject of consideration of constitutional complaints. The boards are invited to give the right to take an immediate initiative to the senates to resolve the issue of issuing a precautionary order in case of sufficient grounds. The problematic aspects of the current legislation on the formulation of the grounds for securing a constitutional complaint have been identified. Such a feature as the "irreversibility" of the consequences as the basis for issuing a security order is considered. In analyzing the consequences of the execution of a court decision from the point of view of its reversibility, attention is paid to the intermediate nature of such consequences, is partially reversible. It has been recommended to grant the subject of the right to a constitutional complaint the right to apply to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine with a corresponding petition to secure a constitutional complaint. During the disclosure of this issue, the relevant bills aimed at improving the legal nature of the security order in the practice of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine have been analyzed. It has been noted that the institution of the security order of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine needs further research, substantiation of key aspects of the relevant legislation and appropriate practical application.

The principles and practice of environmentally and socially sustainable engineering are in line with growing community expectations and the strengthening voice of civil society in engineering interventions. Pressures towards internationalization and globalization are reflected in new course accreditation criteria and higher education structures. Over the next few years, one expression of these pressures, the Bologna Declaration, will pose major challenges to engineering and other faculties of European universities.

The writer commences her article by enunciating the doctrine that the normal human being is asymmetrical. “In 1903,” she says, “I expressed the opinion that the normal man is asymmetrical. The principle of the bilateral symmetry of the organism, established until recently in biological sciences, is replaced to-day by the idea of asymmetry, which, far from being an abnormal or pathological phenomenon, is, on the contrary, the expression of the natural state. One of the halves of the body is more developed than the other from an anatomical and physiological point of view. In the case of the right-handed man, it is the right side which is favoured; in the case of the left-handed man, it is the left. Now, each half of the body being dependent on the hemisphere of the opposite side, one sees that in the case of the right-handed man it is the left brain which is most developed, whilst in the case of the left-handed man a greater development of the right brain is assumed.” This thesis is supported by references to the works of many observers.

Purpose: This paper presents aspects of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Implementation Success Model to guide CSR engagements. Design/methodology/approach: A qualitative case methodology is used to investigate two CSR companies in Uganda. Semi-structured interviews with managers and stakeholders are conducted. Data triangulation includes reviewing CSR reports and documents, and visiting communities and CSR activities/projects mentioned in the case companies’ reports. Grounded theory guides the data analysis and aggregation. Findings: The findings culminate into a “CSR Implementation Success Model. ” Key aspects of CSR implementation success are identified as: (i) involvement of stakeholders and management (i.e., co-production) at the start and during every stage of CSR implementation; (ii) management of challenges and conflicts arising within/outside of the company itself; and (iii) feedback management or performance assessment—i.e., accountability via CSR communications and reporting. Stakeholder involvement and feedback management (accountability) are pivotal, though all three must be considered equally. Research limitations: The studied companies were large and well-established mature companies, so it is unclear whether newer companies and small and medium-sized enterprises would produce similar findings. Practical implications: Successful CSR implementation starts with a common but strategic understanding of what CSR means to the company. However, CSR implementation should (i) yield benefits that are tangible, and (ii) have a sustainable development impact because these two aspects form implementation benchmarks. Additionally, top management should be involved in CSR implementation, but with clear reasons and means. Originality/value: This paper unearths a CSR Implementation Success Model that amplifies views of “creating shared value” for sustainable development. It guides organizations towards strategic CSR, as opposed to the responsive CSR (returning profits to society) that largely dominates in developing countries. Additionally, it explains how to add value to the resource envelope lubricating the entire CSR implementation process
