An emergency can happen anywhere and anytime, especially in developing countries with a high potential for emergencies, such as Eastern European countries as well as Indonesia. This study aimed to find out the quality of PSC 119 Si Slamet as a prehospital emergency service innovation. The data collection in this study was carried out in a location, namely, Batang Regency, Indonesia, in May–June 2018. The qualitative data collection methods used in this study are in-depth interviews and document reviews. This study was using Service Quality (Servqual) questionnaire. The results show that PSC 119 Si Slamet provides easy access to emergency services to the community 24 hours a day and 7 days a week by simply calling 119 numbers, sending messages via SMS and WhatsApp, or using the Android-based application, with a maximum response time target of 10 minutes. Batang is one of the regencies (rural area) in Central Java province, located on the main coastline, with a hilly geographic condition with many derivatives, climbs, and sharp curves, which is one of the causes of the high number of traffic accidents in the area. This emergency care information systems, with Android-based application, was aimed at improving the quality of services in the health sector, especially emergency services. This service is of good quality as seen from the tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy dimensions. However, in the implementation, the socialization aspect is not the best to some people. The recommendation given was the need to increase the PSC 119 socialization of Si Slamet not only regionally but also internationally to be massive, especially in developing countries.

SMEs are limited in their business development. This study is built on previous research conducted in four developing countries (Nigeria, South Africa, Turkey and India). It is difficult to access a bank to get a loan, they have no understanding of how to produce quality products or services, and they have no awareness to get used to learning; these are the problems faced by SMEs.The goal of this study is to find out market-oriented strategies to achieve performance in SMEs that are often ignored because they are too expensive. Review papers were used in order to get the stated aim. This study found out that market orientation is not carried out by most SMEs. There are high investment costs for this. Market orientation cannot always guarantee the success of their business. Problem solving was chosen as a strategy in an effort to make market orientation roles more visible, like easy access to finance, awareness of the quality of products and services they produce, and the habit of continuing to learn. The government, along with SME owners and other interested parties, makes some appropriate formulations to strengthen the position of SMEs as a driving force of the economy. It was concluded that SMEs must obtain special policies regarding the ease of financing from banks, availability of training organized by the government to raise knowledge of quality and awareness to always learn, and enabling SMEs to compete with large companies.

Abstract. Carbon (C) and greenhouse gas (GHG) research has traditionally required data collection and analysis using advanced and often expensive instruments, complex and proprietary software, and skilled technicians. Partly as a result, relatively little C and GHG research has been conducted in resource-constrained developing countries. At the same time, these are the same countries and regions in which climate-change impacts will likely be strongest, and in which major science uncertainties are centred, given the importance of dryland and tropical systems to the global C cycle. Increasingly, scientific communities have adopted appropriate technology and approach (AT&A) for C and GHG research, which focuses on low-cost and low-technology instruments, open source software and data, and participatory and networking-based research approaches. Adopting AT&A can mean acquiring data with fewer technical constraints and lower economic burden and is thus a strategy for enhancing C and GHG research in developing countries. However, AT&A can be characterized by higher uncertainties; these can often be mitigated by carefully designing experiments, providing clear protocols for data collection, and monitoring and validating the quality of obtained data. For implementing this approach in developing countries, it is first necessary to recognize the scientific and moral importance of AT&A. At the same time, new AT&A techniques should be identified and further developed. All these processes should be promoted in collaboration with local researchers and through training local staff and encouraged for wide use and further innovation in developing countries.

The goal of this study is to make evident the strong connections between creativity and quality management, since creativity and quality management subjects currently are observed with an increasing interest all around the world. The methodology of the research is based on the data collection and information about creativity index and ISO 9001:2015 standards, which are applied in developed, medium income developing countries, as well as in low income developing countries. It has been used a regressive analysis followed by analysis of variance, which resulted on the main conclusion of this study that relations between creativity and ISO standards application is strong. The main recommendation is that application of ISO standards relates mostly to quality and its management, and when it comes to quality of products or services, it refers specifically to the perception of extent to which products and services fulfill customer’s expectation and this is related to culture and creativity.

Improving the quality of public services, especially in the process of issuing passports, requires innovation and policies that support easy access by every community. One of the policies that have been implemented nationally is the collective passport issuance pick-up service known as the Eazy Passport. This service is an innovation that expects the willingness of people who want to have a passport but do not want to come to the Immigration Office alone. The Eazy Passport service can be submitted by agencies, government offices, or communities who wish to submit a collective passport application. Data collection and other necessary things that are usually done at the Immigration Office can be done easily at a mutually agreed location. Eazy Passport activities that have been submitted to the Immigration Office will be carried out on the specified date by bringing the necessary equipment and supplies. This activity was carried out at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes in East Kalimantan, Ministry of Finance. This activity was welcomed by employees and their families and relatives who registered with the Immigration Office regarding the issuance of their passports. These passport applicants no longer need to carry the necessary files and equipment when carrying out biometric data collection activities so that the implementation runs effectively and efficiently and speeds up the passport issuance process

This paper presents a First responder emergency response tool (EMApp) as a step towards achieving integrated emergency care in developing countries, the case of Uganda. The EMApp prototype has potential to support health emergency response from various emergency stakeholders. This innovation is in line with strategic plans to embrace technologies towards the establishment of integrated social services such as emergency healthcare services (EHS) in Uganda. We describe the prototype and provide its functionalities that can be further enhanced to enable access to emergency services and save life. The possible assumptions, potential challenges and recommendations to implement and deployment of such a system are provided. There is currently no such integrated emergency response system in Uganda as is the case in many other developing countries. For future studies, there is need to deploy the tool and assess its impact on the communities.

This article examines the consequences of globalization on the health sector, how people see these conditions and how globalization is rejected or perhaps easily accepted as an effort in improving life. The majority of the world's population in poor and developing countries do not have access to essential health services, let alone medicines. As a product of globalization, in the health sector, the conditions with humanitarian aspects as one of the indicators of the quality of human resources have been distorted and become a tempting element of economic commodities. In the era of globalization, international relations are getting closer. This problem is often known as global conditions. Global relations certainly have an impact on social life. These impacts bring changes in people's behavior in various aspects of life. In the economic, political, social, cultural and security fields, this global impact not only affects large urban communities but also occurs in the rural communities. Along with this, the explanation in this article will be presented from an anthropological perspective.
