Sampling

In this chapter, students are presented with two distinct methods of choosing which units of analysis that represent a broader population will be included in a study. Multiple probability and non-probability sampling techniques are discussed. Upon reading this chapter, students will understand how to draw a random sample and the inherent advantages of probability sampling methods compared to non-probability methods. Concepts such as sampling frame, generalizability, margin of error, and confidence level are discussed. Numerous examples are used throughout.

In order to determine the main reasons for the lag in the payment of the Property Tax of the Municipality of Chihuahua and to ascertain if there is a culture of nonpayment in the taxpayers, an investigation was carried out in this regard. The hypothesis proposed was that the main reason for the lag in the payment of the property tax was the lack of economic resources. The nature of the research was quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, and transectional. The macro variable to be analyzed was lagged in the payment of taxes. The sampling frame was confirmed by the list of taxpayer debtors of the property tax. A confidence level of 95% and margin of error of 5% was used in the study. This, however, was drawn from a sample of 375 contributors to whom the survey designed by the researchers was applied. These were applied randomly in a shopping center in the city. The stated objectives were met and it was found that 6% of respondents have a culture of non-payment, while 94% plan to pay. The major reason the taxpayer debtors could not pay the tax was attributed to the lack of economic resources. As a result, the hypothesis was not rejected.

SummarySurveys of people's opinions are fraught with difficulties. It is easier to obtain information from those who respond to text messages or to emails than to attempt to obtain a representative sample. Samples of the population that are selected non-randomly in this way are termed convenience samples as they are easy to recruit. This introduces a sampling bias. Such non-probability samples have merit in many situations, but an epidemiological enquiry is of little value unless a random sample is obtained. If a sufficient number of those selected actually complete a survey, the results are likely to be representative of the population. This editorial describes probability and non-probability sampling methods and illustrates the difficulties and suggested solutions in performing accurate epidemiological research.

This research aims to find out and analyze the magnitude of the effect of causality between organizational culture, job satisfaction and employee performance of Dr. Haulussy Ambon. Based on the research objectives above, this type of research can be classified as an explanatory research (exsplanatory). Through surveys using questionnaire and interview instruments for data collection and probability sampling methods as well as purposive sampling techniques for sample selection, 111 respondents were obtained as research samples. The results by using path analysis indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and performance and job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the performance of RSUD Dr. Haulussy Ambon. Thus it can be said that the drive to improve organizational culture will increase the level of performance and subsequently the drive to increase job satisfaction will increase the level of employees’s performance of RSUD Dr. Haulussy Ambon.

Knowledge of sampling methods is essential to design quality research. Critical questions are provided to help researchers choose a sampling method. This article reviews probability and non-probability sampling methods, lists and defines specific sampling techniques, and provides pros and cons for consideration. In addition, issues related to sampling methods are described to highlight potential problems.

Basically in each management at the College has rules and procedures for writing a study, including in using the research population and sampling techniques to ensure its accuracy. In this study discusses the notion of population and the types of population in a study, sampling units and framework for sampling in Educational research, sample concepts along with the types of sampling, and complete reasons for using sampling and conducting census research. , various sampling methods that will be described as both probability sampling and non probability sampling, as well as explaining the reasons for determining the number of samples both theoretically and practically. So that with the existence of research on the population of research and sampling techniques with examples in the scope of management, it is expected that the samples used in this study actually represent the existing population so that the findings and conclusions obtained from the sampling are valid. The phenomenon of considering the potential for zakat mal with the amount of zakat paid by the obligatory zakat is a consequence of various factors. The causes of the insignificance of zakat realization with the existing zakat potential, namely: low understanding and awareness of Muslims about the obligation to pay zakat, reluctance to pay zakat to zakat institutions because they prefer to pay zakat directly to those who are entitled, and are reluctant to pay zakat to zakat institutions because they do not experience the pleasure and benefits immediately. This study aims to see what factors and the most dominant factors influence Muzaki's decision to pay zakat at LAZNAS Yatim Mandiri Ponorogo. This type of research is quantitative with a sample of 100 Muzaki from a population of 2,339 Muzaki who pays zakat at LAZNAS Yatim Mandiri Ponorogo, using probability sampling techniques and sampling methods, namely simple random sampling. Data analysis used validity and reliability tests, test tests and tests with factor analysis. The results of this study there are 8 factors that influence Muzaki's decision to pay zakat, namely the factor of religiosity, image of service quality institutions, income, worship, reliability and responsiveness, occupation or position, factors of empathy. The factor that most influenced Muzaki's decision was the religiosity factor which consisted of 6 variables and had the highest Eigen value, namely 4.669

The quality of the product can also affect consumers in making purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality and promotion on purchasing decision of Melon fruit. Population and sample of research is purchasing or buyer from consumer of PT. Syafina Niaga as many as 30 companies and sampling methods using saturated sampling techniques as well as analysis used with regression analysis. The results showed that there is a significant influence between product quality and promotion of purchasing decisions.

This study aims to determine the effect of store (mall) environment and money availability on consumer impulse buying in the City of Tomorrow (Cito) Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach whose data is obtained from the results of questionnaires. The sample in this study were 389 respondents taken based on purposive sampling technique which was included in non-probability sampling techniques. The results of this study indicate that the store (mall) environment has no effect on impulse buying. Meanwhile, money availability has a positive and significant effect on consumer impulse buying in the City of Tomorrow (Cito) Surabaya.
