Successful business operation depends on several factors. Among these factors knowledge management and innovation are extremely important business areas. The aim of this theoretical study is to introduce how these two models work together and how their relationship reinforces the chance for success. Relying on secondary data analysis and literature review, the authors prove that the classical innovation model can be a part of this relationship together with the organizational innovation where the human resource comes to focus. The logic of system building of knowledge management emphasizes that the path leads from the attainment of innovation knowledge to the evaluation of utilization. This study reviews the steps of the two business models and highlights the most important relationships in a new model linking the appropriate phases. The second part of this paper shows the connection between frugal innovation and knowledge management, and their theoretical significance and practical adaptability.

In knowledge society, knowledge management (KM) is considered the best strategy for improving the labor productivity of an enterprise. However, the effectiveness of KM on labor productivity is not known exactly, especially since it depends on the development level of a country. To find a solution based on KM approach for improving the labor productivity of Vietnamese enterprise, a new model is proposed, which includes knowledge capability, technology capability, KM, employee satisfaction, and labor productivity. By analyzing data from Vietnamese enterprises, the model is tested and suggestions for improving the labor productivity of Vietnamese enterprises are made. Some results of data analysis are: employee satisfaction positively affects the labor productivity and that KM has a strong effect on employee satisfaction. Further, some suggestions for improving the labor productivity of Vietnamese enterprises are: organizing frequent meetings for shortening cultural gap between managers and employees, replacing old machines combined with improving employees’ self learning skill, improving innovation capability by creating an open culture for encouraging employees to voice their opinions.

The effect of organizational resources in technological innovation has been widely studied. However, the effect of these resources in organizational innovation is a subject that still requires greater scrutiny. Relying on the resource-based view of the firm, we hypothesize that the knowledge-centered culture and the social interaction are factors (resources) that affect the organizational innovation, but that this effect is mediated by the knowledge management. Using a transversal study with a sample ofMexican public hospitals through its high and medium level managers perception we found support for the hypotheses. Results of the research confirm the importance of a knowledge-centered culture, social interaction, and knowledge management as predictors of organizational innovation. This study also buttresses the critical role of knowledge management as a mediating variable in the influence of a variety of factors on the development of organizational capabilities. Keywords: Organizational innovation, knowledge management, organizational resources.

The objective of the present article was to discuss, by way of a systematic review, the contribution of knowledge management to the creation of an organizational innovation model in sports management. Regarding the ends, this work presents itself as descriptive, showing the proposed characteristics of an organizational model; and also exploratory, as it deals with a subject that still isn’t researched very much in the academic environment. As for the means, this work can be classified as bibliographic, as it uses information from the scientific articles that were found. A systematic review was conducted in the Periodical Portal, which is managed by the Higher Level Personnel Improvement Coordination -- CAPES, with research conducted between the years 2010 and 2016. In all, 2629 articles were found, of which 2069 were peer-reviewed. Duplicate articles were removed from this total, as well as articles that were published outside of the timeline that was considered (2010 - 2016). From this amount, we selected those that contained the descriptors, found in the titles of the articles and their abstracts, resulting in a total of 137 articles. Seeking to further explore the subject through the proposed objective, the articles that contained information on the sports segment were eliminated. Thus, 124 articles were excluded from the group as they were not in accordance with the inclusion criteria, leading to a total of 13 articles being included in the systematic review. To these articles, we added seven more, as they were greatly relevant and could contribute to the research. We concluded that the contribution of knowledge management is becoming a reality, meeting the new perspectives of sport in Brazil through the flow of knowledge.
