Implementation of SWOT analysis can help in identifying the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities related to the topic/literature and can determine the subject applications, its scopes, and can also help in deciding the aims and objectives of the further study. After the identification of the weakness and opportunities, one can easily determine the research gaps. SWOT analysis can also help in deciding the methodologies, tools, and techniques to use for the solution of the problem. Different examples are considered to illustrate the application of SWOT in the literature analysis.

Non-destructive testing (NDT) and semi-destructive testing (SDT) have recently been more frequently used for the evaluation and condition assessment of concrete floors in various types of buildings. The subject of the article is to briefly introduce the reader to the problem of adhesion between overlays and substrates in concrete floors and to illustrate the current state of knowledge on the subject. The aim of this paper was to briefly describe the recently used non-destructive and semi-destructive testing methods and the parameters useful for characterizing the adhesion between overlays and substrates in concrete floors, as well as the methods useful to characterize the functional properties of the overlays. A recent literature survey, related to the adhesion between the overlays and substrates in concrete floors, is thus shown. Special emphasis was placed on the critical review of the current research results. Based on the analysis of the literature review, research gaps have been presented in order to highlight future research directions.

Background and aim: Organisation of mass sports events is one of the functions of contemporary physical culture and, at the same time, a dynamically developing service, provided by both public and private institutions. Organising such an event requires a professional project-based approach, i.e. the conceptual preparation of activities related to its preparation, conduct and summing up. The aim of this study is to present project activities related to the organisation of a mass sports event, such as a marathon race, using the example of the 6th ‘Wrocław Marathon’. Material and methods: The subject matter of this study is an analysis of the system of project activities related to the organisation of mass sports events. Use was made for this purpose of the modern scientifi c discipline of project management and the following methods were applied: literature analysis, source documentation analysis and studies of 6 ‘Wrocław Marathon’ cases. Results: The following organisational phases of the ‘Wrocław Marathon’ were analysed in detail: event planning and preparation; implementation; controlling. Conclusions: Project management is a deliberate measure in the organisation of a mass event, such as the ‘Wrocław Marathon’ – development of a reference model of such an event.

(1) Background: In the context of differences among countries developing pre-entrepreneurship ecosystems in relation to agritourism, the need to define the specific challenges and facilitators in the group of post-communist countries is recognised. Given that, we aim to examine the differences between the countries belonging to the former USSR and the satellite countries of the former USSR. (2) Methods: For the realisation of the intended objective, we analysed studies of the literature on the subject, in terms of the theoretical treatment of the entrepreneurial eco-system in the field of agritourism, and current legal acts. Our own observations from stays in the regions in question were also used, along with statistical methods concerning the density of the transport network, comparative analysis of historical and political conditions, and SWOT analysis. (3) Results: Substantial differences were found between the components of the agritourism entrepreneurship ecosystem in Poland and Kazakhstan, primarily related to the level of transport infrastructure density (satisfactory in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, insufficient in North Kazakhstan), tradition of individual farming (well established in Poland, poorly present in Kazakhstan), support for agritourism development by central and local authorities (relatively high in Poland, incidental and with a short history in Kazakhstan), and finally, differences in the target group of agritourism service recipients (stable in Poland, undefined in Kazakhstan). (4) Conclusions: The research leads to the conclusion of the heterogeneity of the determinants of the development of the agritourism entrepreneurship ecosystem in countries collectively defined as post-communist. There are clearly different challenges and facilitations resulting not so much from the past political system as from the ethnic-historical considerations, the position of agriculture in the economy, and the degree and effectiveness of the involvement of administrative authorities in the development of agritourism. The study leads to a recommendation on the need for more efficient targeting of agritourism consumers abroad.

The subject of this research is the process of teaching students to solve problems in the discipline of general physics on their own, as well as develop skills of future engineers to break up the solution of the problem into stages. The article is aimed ad generalization, elaboration and implementation of the basic problem-solving techniques higher school based on the preliminary compiled classification of problems in accordance with certain characteristics. The author develops educational and methodological support for the discipline of general physics as the means of training students to solve problems on their own. The following methods were applied in the course of this work: analysis of psychological, pedagogical and scientific-methodical literature; analysis of curricula, textbooks, problem books, guidebooks on natural science disciplines, modeling of class activity of the students; empirical methods of observation, conversation, survey. As a result, the author incorporates the existing problem-solving techniques into the system, based on which students are capable to go through all stages of solving the problem on their own, better understand the study material, and acquire essential skills for articulation of the problem. The examples are provided on step-by-step solution of different types of problems on the topic “Calculation of an electrical network”.
