Forming relationships on the Internet through various means of communication is a growing trend in cyberspace. The Internet is a medium that allows people to converse and express thoughts, feelings, viewpoints, and information posting messages electronically for others to view (Pankoke-Babatz & Jeffrey, 2002). Education has been taking advantage of these electronic communication mediums to teach content areas, help teachers and students form relationships, and serve as a vehicle of dialogue between teachers, parents, and students (Forceir & Descy, 2005; Roblyer, 2006). Although electronic communications in education grow and proliferate, the rules of engagement must be maintained to prevent miscommunication and online traffic and noise (Kallos, 2006). This article discusses the importance of upholding netiquette conventions among its users in education because without adhering to certain guidelines and protocols, electronic forms of communication can deter the teaching and learning processes.

This study applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in investigating teachers and students’ perceptions towards integrating the D2L system to enhance EFL teaching and learning processes at the English language department, Majmaah University. Two close-ended questionnaires were designed to measure the participants’ perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitudes, and intentions to use D2L. To understand participants’ perceptions and the obstacles that may hinder their use of D2L, an interview with open-ended questions were conducted. Data from the questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS. Qualitative analysis of the interview data showed the frequencies and proportions of participants’ responses. The findings indicated that the D2L system is totally accepted by teachers and students. Few problems along with their suggested solutions were grouped, presented and discussed.

In general, learning media is a tool for teaching and learning processes or  anything that can be used to stimulate students ' minds, feelings, attention and skills so that they can encourage the learning process. Integrative thematic learning is learning that integrates multiple topics into a theme. This integrative thematic learning provides students with direct experience, and requires students to be more involved in providing comprehensive learning and not being separated. This integrative thematic learning also involves the inculcation of spiritual values and social values which are taught together with the provision of general learning materials. It is very important to use and apply the learning media in integrative thematic learning in elementary schools. This is also focused on the age of children who are still in elementary school and, of course, learning will be of great interest for them when using media that can stimulate and motivatethem to learn. By using appropriate learning media, teachers and students are expected to be able to achieve the planned objectives. Especially students are expected to gain meaningful experience in the spiritual, social, knowledge and skills domains. The development of electronic communication brings to rapid language and speech-communicative changes. These changes make the scientific task of their timely conceptualization urgent. The purpose of this study is to generalize and analyze the research results on the onyms functioning in the electronic environment and Internet communication. The analysis highlights two the main areas of the research that have developed in science to date. The functioning of the proper name in the Internet discourse is the study object of the first group. The Internet environment is mainly a source of language material according to this group research, which is analyzed considering the electronic communications features (its polycode, informality, interactivity). The feature of this group research is that its’ the main object is represented either by specific linguistic phenomena or special types of discourse, while electronic communication is a secondary feature for its highlight. The second research direction involves the study of new onomastic phenomena that owe their existence to the context of the electronic environment and its communicative, pragmatic, and technical features. This research direction implies both the detection of new types of onyms that were generated by Internet communications, and the description of their characteristic semantic, pragmatic, stylistic, and formal grammatical features. A special status among the objects studied in the second direction is given to such a phenomenon as a nickname, which implements a whole set of features that allow us to talk about its principal novelty and uniqueness. A nickname is the result of autonomy in terms of pragmatic and communication. This contributes to its use as a means of self-presentation and expression; also, a nickname has noticeable formal features that represent the ways of its construction (free choice of motivational bases, language play, active use of non-alphabetic characters). There is also noted an impact of new phenomena in Internet onomastics on the onomastic system and emphasized the need for closer attention to this influence.

Technology has significantly brought changes in all aspects of human life, the changes that occur require everyone to change from old habits to new habits that are not used to be done. Changes in general in face-to-face classes began to shift to virtual classes. Even the elements of education have undergone many changes both parents, students and teachers. They experience new teaching patterns and ways of teaching. Learning places are transformed and can be done at home, public places, and so on. Time and place are no longer a barrier to teaching and learning activities because they can be done online. Online learning is carried out by utilizing existing technology through media that uses the internet to carry out teaching and learning processes such as cellphones and laptops. This media will support the teaching and learning process through available applications such as whatsApp, google classroom and so on. Learning brings many challenges and obstacles faced by parents in particular. Of course this is a challenge in itself for parents in monitoring children's learning activities, especially in the application of technology as a learning medium for children.

The pandemic Covid-19, which requires everyone, including students to do activities at home, it is easier because of technological advances. The most influential technology in education today is the Internet. The internet allows teachers to provide learning materials without having to meet in person. Teachers can upload learning materials for later access by students. Several internet-based applications and sites are also commonly used by teachers and students to hold face-to-face classes via Whatsapp video calls, Google Clasroom, Zoom Meetings and other online media. Apart from teaching and learning activities, internet-based technology can also be used to support student productive activities. Due to this work from home policy, student activities such as organizations, committees, clubs and so on are hampered. However, by utilizing internet-based applications and sites such as Google Meet, Zoom, Skype and so on, learning activities in the form of meetings and group discussions can run more optimally. Working on group assignments can be easier by using Google Doc where multiple students can edit a document together directly.

As multimodal text, Internet memes encompassing verbal and visual elements have a significant function in producing meaning both independently and inherently. In addition, they are not only used to entertain the reader through humorous messages, but also used to convey moral message. This research investigated the ideational meaning and the critical message in the internet memes related to the interaction between teacher and students in teaching and learning activities. It was conducted to reveal experiential and representational meaning; inter-semiotic logical relations; the portrayed events; and the implied problems as criticism to both teachers and students contained in these Internet memes. They were obtained from Instagram account of @9gag. Focusing on the ideational meaning, it applied three theories, namely, transitivity system, representational component of visual grammar, and inter-semiotic logical relations. It also applied the theory of relevance to reveal the critical message behind these internet memes. Several studies, related to the internet memes both in multimodal discourse analysis and pragmatic study, have been conducted. Nevertheless, this present study is the development of those studies using different approach. Specifically, this study focused on internet memes concerning teachers and students interaction which have never investigated before. The results revealed five kinds of verbal processes; five kinds of visual processes; six logical relations between caption and image; five portrayed students’ behaviours; nine problems implied in student figure; and six problems implied in teacher figure.
