The aforementioned statement is essential to ponder when it comes to multimedia hardware and software consideration. Computers are now making it possible to blend or integrate together multimedia elements such as audio, video, graphics, images and animation into a single learning package. However, blending these multimedia elements together to develop a learning package does not mean that student’s proficiency in the subject matter could be enhanced. Furthermore it is not necessary to convert the entire textbook into a full working multimedia package for students to learn. Selected problems that are difficult to explain to the students from the textbook could be more appropriate and beneficial to the students if shown in the form of motion. On the other hand selecting appropriate multimedia elements and authoring tools could be difficult tasks for a new multimedia author. This is because proper development design process and careful selection of multimedia elements should be used appropriately to develop a high quality and cost effective package that could engage learners in their learning. Understanding the overall development process is an essential part for a multimedia learning package.

The origin and development of wheeled vehicles continues to fascinate today no less than when Stuart Piggott (1974) first wrote about the subject inAntiquity40 years ago. A growing number of examples from the steppes of southern Russia and Ukraine are providing new insights into the design and construction of these complex artefacts. A recent example from the Ulan IV burial mound illustrates the techniques employed and the mastery of materials, with careful selection of the kinds of wood used for the wheels, axles and other elements. Stable isotope analysis of the individual interred in this grave showed that he had travelled widely, emphasising the mobility of steppe populations.

The Casebook series provides a comprehensive selection of case law that addresses all aspects of the subject encountered on undergraduate courses. A contract may include a statement that is a mere puff, a representation, or a contractual term. In the case of a representation, the maker asserts the truth of certain facts and thus induces the contract. In case of an actionable misrepresentation (an unambiguous false statement of fact which induces the other party to enter into the contract), the contract may be rendered voidable, that is, liable to be set aside or rescinded. In some instances, the injured party may claim for damages designed to restore him to his original position. This chapter examines the identification of actionable misrepresentation, duties of disclosure, types of misrepresentations, rescission as a remedy, damages for misrepresentation, including the damages available in section 2 of the Misrepresentation Act 1967, and the effect of contributory negligence in any damages award. Finally, the chapter examines exclusion of liability for non-fraudulent misrepresentation and the effect of ‘non-reliance’ clauses in contracts. In the consumer context, it also notes the criminal offences in certain instances of misrepresentation under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs) and the extension to include civil remedies for misleading actions.

INTRODUCTION: The idea of the article arose during a course in which students were organized in groups to discuss a bioethics subject and the subject chosen was "saviour siblings". “Saviour sibling” is a child conceived in the hope of being genetically compatible with an older brother who has some pathology whose treatment consists of the donation of tissues. OBJECTIVE: To debate the conception of saviour siblings and the delicacy and complexity of the theme from a bioethical perspective. METHODOLOGY: Literature review carried out in August 2019, in the PubMed database, using the keyword “saviour siblings”. The material obtained was used for discussion and elaboration of a clinical case. RESULTS: 40 articles were found, nine of which were excluded from the abstract for diverging from the topic. The clinical case was developed collectively and the authors delegated with putting themselves in the place of those involved in this decision and narrating the possible thoughts and feelings of each one of them. Then, bibliographic references were used to discuss the constructed clinical case, from the bioethical perspective. CONCLUSION: Saviour siblings related bioethical issues are delicate and complex. On the one hand, there's a benefit of saving a sick child and bringing relief to the parents. But, on the other hand, this technique can bear on eugenic practices such as the selection of individuals based on their genetics. The violation of the saviour sibling's autonomy needs to be the focus of future ethical discussions in order to protect his rights. Teaching bioethics is essential for the training of health professionals.

Preceded by the debate, the 2016 implementation of the school reform in Poland brought serious organisational and program changes. These changes also concern entrepreneurship education, therefore the subject of the article is the discussion on the proposals of the Ministry of Education regarding changes to the school system, in the context of yet another comprehensive organisational and program reform of the Polish education system. The primary goal of the paper is to present the direction of change, based on the current research and discussions conducted by various forums. The author’s claims in this regard are based not only on his reflections but also on the voices presented by the participants of Kraków entrepreneurship conferences and conventions of teachers, as well as by the authors of the papers included in the previous volumes of this annual. Under the limited number of hours dedicated to the teaching of entrepreneurship in post-primary schools in general education, that is, compulsory for all pupils, the most important is the careful selection of objectives and content of entrepreneurship education. The article concludes with the presentation of the essential conditions influencing the success of the implementation of changes, mainly related to the appropriate preparation of entrepreneurship teachers.

Presented here are laser processes for drilling debris-free and recast-free vias in silicon that are then integrated into downstream process. The process strategy consists of an integrated laser via drill system combined with an isotropic etch. By careful selection of both the laser and etch process parameters it is possible to control the via depth, diameter, sidewall slope/taper, and to eliminate the damaged Si material in the laser heat affected zone. Because the etch process is selective to Si, this is a mask-free and cost-effective process. Two different processes are demonstrated. For Part 1 we demonstrate an integrated process flow for TSVs with diameters in the range of 250 um for <500 um thick Si wafers and a dry etch process. For Part 2 we demonstrate with a wet etch process

In addition to its well-known role in the control of saccades, the primate superior colliculus (SC) has been implicated in the processes of target choice for overt orienting movements and for covert spatial attention. We focally inactivated the SC, by muscimol injection, while monkeys selected the target of a smooth pursuit, saccade, or button press response from two competing stimuli. The choice stimuli were placed so that one appeared within and the other appeared outside the affected visual field. SC inactivation biased the subject to choose stimuli out of the affected visual field for all three types of responses, although the effects on target choice were significantly smaller for button presses. Inactivation caused no changes in the selection of single stimuli within or out of the affected visual field, indicating the choice bias was not caused by deficits in response execution. The inactivation-induced bias for smooth pursuit and button press responses indicates SC activity is important for selecting the target, independent of any role in saccade preparation.

This article contains a selection of notions from the Guidebook to the Novels of the West Slavs (a working title). The Guidebook is addressed predominantly  at researchers involved in comparative studies of the literatures of the West Slavs and it will cover fifty years (1945–1995) of novels written by West Slavic authors: Kashubian, Polish, Slovak (from Slovakia and the so-called  Lower Land), Czech as well as Upper and Lower Lusatian, and how they changed. Each entry will consist of a brief presentation of a novel’s content, bibliographical information (the subsequent editions, possible translations;  reception in the other languages will be limited exclusively to the West Slavs area), interpretation, a novel’s significance to a writer’s achievements,  specific national literature and, finally, the West Slavs’ novels as a whole, a selection (maximum five items) of the most important literature on the subject.

Within the framework of hybridization of domestic prunes and black apricots (Prunus domestica L. x Armeniaca dasycarpa Ehrh.) altogether sixteen plants were obtained, of which twelve were identified as hybrids and were kept alive, the same as the variety Jibeck. In hybrids, various degrees of domination of morphological traits of domestic prune were observed. Traits of black apricot were manifested weakly in seven hybrids and in the other five and in the variety Jibeck more perfect, semi dominant. In latter the effect of double set of genes was manifested, which was brought into the zygote by unreduced microspores of the black apricot. Some important properties of unmodified status, such as resistance to abiotic and biotic environmental factors, growth inhibition, yielding capacity, earliness, and high quality of fruit, were combined in these hybrids. The obtained hybrids are very interesting from the viewpoint of selection and breeding of new varieties of domestic prune, obtaining tetraploid and hybrid varieties of black apricot, and breeding and selection of individuals of ordinary apricot with some valuable traits of domestic prune.

The name of Rudolph Bultmann has recently become specially associated with the proposal to demythologise the New Testament and reinterpret it in terms of a Christian existentialism. The discussion of this proposal will be further stimulated by the recent publication in English of Kerygma and Myth, which contains Bultmann's original essay on the subject and a selection of the contributions made by German scholars in the ensuing controversy. It appears to the present writer that insufficient attention has been given in discussion to the connexion between Bultmann's opinions on the historical Jesus and the proposal now so prominently before us. It may be that in Bultmann's teaching there is an underlying interplay between his criticism of the history and his hermeneutic proposal; such that on the one hand his estimate of the historical Jesus is influenced if not controlled by his general philosophical and theological assumptions, while on the other hand his radical conclusions regarding the history have tended to lead him to his extreme position as an interpreter.
