Science communication has brought new teaching/learning environments forward. Various digital media have provided appropriate platforms. Learning processes for everyone have been differentiated and thrived on newly developed technologies and digital media. Animation is among these to provide an alternative to science communication methods. Especially animations developed with storytelling can become very effective in learning processes. In cartoon movies, certain knowledge on different fields has been explained by turning them into scenarios. It's possible to see examples of cartoons in this concept in Turkey and all around the world. Storytelling (scenario) and animation dynamics make knowledge more impressive and long-lasting. Educational cartoon movies produced for children, which aren't in formal and organized education but younger than the school age, have been produced in a widespread manner. This study is focused on transferring scientific knowledge by using animation products. In this context, educational cartoon movies will be examined through storytelling and animation.

Teachers look for suitable models that provide university students with the conditions and essential elements that stimulate the development of skills and competences for a lifetime. The concept of learning environments is not only to talk about infrastructure, materials or support resources, which in some way are important, but that in itself, the essence of this will depend on the initiative, creativity, capacity and interaction of the person who be at the forefront of the teaching-learning process that is the facilitator. The objective was to know the environment through which the student learns better as part of the appropriation of knowledge and knowledge construction. A group of student (n=40), of the course of Management of Animal Health and Welfare of the Veterinary Degree, was evaluated through a descriptive design through virtual environments (T1), within the classroom (2) and real environments (T3). The best environment being T3, followed by T1. The purpose of learning environments is to provide resources and develop conditions that contribute and facilitate the acquisition of knowledge. On the other hand, the learning processes well used contribute to the acquisition of learning while providing attitudes and values in the student.

The work of the artist Antoni Tàpies (1923-2012) has been widely studied from different disciplines, including his analytical and syncretic vision. This article tries to analyze one of its aesthetic keys: in particular, the conceptualization of its idea process, using the synthesis that appears in the graphic story "The most beautiful painting in the world" published by Ralph Herrmanns in 1970, in which Tàpies is represented as a character-artist. The study of this graphic story also allows us to advance in the study of some educational variables that can intervene in the teaching-learning processes of the arts, such as the artist's relationship with the educational intention that appears as a moral in the story-tale. In this moral of a fable, as a conclusion or educational synthesis, Tàpies tries to express his aesthetic thinking about the creative process, represented in his artistic work.

Educational data mining has aroused a great research interest among the educational institutions nowadays. Blended learning is used as a pedagogy in the field of teaching and learning. Blended learning is a fusion of online digital media with conventional teaching in classrooms where the teacher and student has to be present physically throughout teaching duration. Teacher –student interaction is made possible using the internet during the non-contact hours. For rendering a valuable blended learning environment, it is essential to gather users’ opinion or feedback on this learning methodology. Therefore, opinion-mining techniques have been used in this paper for helping the academicians to improve and promote such learning environments. Students positive or negative feelings towards the subject teaching can be analyzed using these techniques. This paper discusses how sentiment analysis can be performed on the feedback collected in a learning management system with the intention of advancing the teaching learning process. This work presents the experimental results that were obtained after comparison of various feature selection methods say Chi-square, Information Gain, Mutual Information and Symmetrical Uncertainty

AbstractFor over 30 years, the MCE Sky Pedagogy Research Group (Italy) and Plaza del Cielo Complex (Argentina) had been offering teachers and educators many projects and activities related to training and teaching/learning processes having the sky and the study of the multiple relationships of humans with the sky as a focus of research. We have developed didactical methods based on direct experience, naked-eye activities, cooperation and exchange of experiences. The pandemic forced us to suspend the in-person meetings, which are at the center of our research in the Teaching of Astronomy, so we decided to react constructively exploring virtuality designing the course “Meet the skies of the world”. Two courses where developed from June to September 2020, each one having 4 virtual meetings of 2,5 hours each, with more than a hundred participants from different countries. A Level II course will be developed during the first semester of 2021.

Hieroglyphs have persisted for so long in the Western imagination because of the malleability of their metaphorical meanings. Emblems of readability and unreadability, universality and difference, writing and film, writing and digital media, hieroglyphs serve to encompass many of the central tensions in understandings of race, nation, language and media in the twentieth century. For Pound and Lindsay, they served as inspirations for a more direct and universal form of writing; for Woolf, as a way of treating the new medium of film and our perceptions of the world as a kind of language. For Conrad and Welles, they embodied the hybridity of writing or the images of film; for al-Hakim and Mahfouz, the persistence of links between ancient Pharaonic civilisation and a newly independent Egypt. For Joyce, hieroglyphs symbolised the origin point for the world’s cultures and nations; for Pynchon, the connection between digital code and the novel. In their modernist interpretations and applications, hieroglyphs bring together writing and new media technologies, language and the material world, and all the nations and languages of the globe....
