Network downtimes are typically addressed by deploying a temperature monitoring system (TMS) designed to detect variations in temperature and signal users of an impending increase of temperature. The development of a TMS has been found to essentially monitor temperature states across various case applications, but a concurrent analysis of such system was not carried out despite the need to recognize user satisfaction for improvement of future TMS information system components. Thus, this paper seeks to design, implement, and analyze a TMS under the a-priori information system (IS) impact model, which incorporates the constructs on individual impact, organizational impact, information quality, and system quality, in an academic institution as case environment. It is found that all four constructs have a positive influence on the proposed TMS IS impact except for organizational impact. Under such a case, decision-makers are prompted to develop a product that anchors primarily on individual impact, information quality, and system quality to attain desired system outputs.

Abstract This study aims to examine the influence of system quality, information quality, and service quality of the lecturer at Malang State University. This study will also investigate the effect on user satisfaction and its impact on net benefits for users of UM Information System Expenses. This study applies a modification of the information system success model from DeLone & McLean. The model is analyzed by modeling the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on components or variants (component based) that are popular with Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS version 3.2.8. The results of this study are expected to be adopted as input and consideration in developing, improving, and improving the performance of the UM BKD information system. The research design used in this study is quantitative research. Respondents in this study were 93 UM PNS lecturers who were actively teaching. The questionnaire was online distributed by accessing the page provided. The results showed that there was a positive but not significant effect between system quality, information quality, and service quality on the use of the BKD system. However, there is a positive and significant influence between system quality, information quality, and service quality on the BKD system user satisfaction, between the uses of the BKD system on net benefits, and between the satisfaction of the BKD system users on net benefits. The implementation of BKD UM information system can be declared successful because there is a positive correlation between variables.

User satisfaction with information system quality has long been a substantial topic in the literature of information system (IS). Based on the key constructs of IS success model (including system quality and information quality) and technology acceptance model (including perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness), this paper builds and validates a theoretical framework to explain user satisfaction with information system quality. A survey study with AMOS-SEM analysis of 363 users of management information systems in 9 hospitals in HCMC, Vietnam showed that 12 of 14 hypotheses were empirically supported. The findings affirmed the direct influence of system quality, information quality and top management support on perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and trust, and then on user satisfaction. The results also reinforced the impact of perceived ease of use on perceived usefulness, and the joint influence of perceived usefulness and trust on user satisfaction. The paper is among the first studies, in the healthcare sector, to empirically identify both information system quality and top management support in predicting user acceptance of and satisfaction with information system implementation in organizational settings. The theoretical and managerial implications of the paper were derived.

Engineering Maintenance System (EMESYS) is the online Management Information System (MIS) on equipment maintenance performed by the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) Corps including maintenance on vehicle, weapon, electronic and miscellaneous equipment. This study attempts to identify the determinants of user satisfaction in adopting the EMESYS based on an information system success model by De Lone and Mc Lean (2003).  This study is important as it is the first empirical study focusing on the user satisfaction of EMESYS in the context of the Malaysian Army. The data were collected using online surveys from 309 EMESYS users. Standard multiple regressions was used to analyse the data gathered. The results of this study indicate that three of the hypothesis are supported and users’ satisfaction of EMESYS is influenced by the three dimensions, namely, system quality, information quality and IT infrastructure. EMESYS has been proven successful in transforming the tedious procedures involving multiple parties and documents to the process of a simple data entry to EMESYS.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the role of visual aesthetics as a key in generating satisfaction in student information system (SIS) users and to discover relationships to other antecedents. This work has also studied how gender discriminates those relationships. Design/methodology/approach DeLone and McLean’s model of information systems success, visual aesthetic and gender socialisation theory are used as a theoretical framework for the study. An explanatory model was proposed based on the previous literature, and then this model was validated using a sample of undergraduate students. Partial Least Squares was chosen as the approach to conduct the statistical analysis. Findings First, the findings show that the variance explained by the proposed model in user satisfaction of SIS is 67 per cent. Second, visual aesthetics has a significant direct effect on user satisfaction of SIS, but the indirect effect is much higher, through its relationship to system quality and information quality. Third, the results indicate that there are significant differences between men and women in the direct relationship between visual aesthetics and user satisfaction of SIS, and this relationship being much more intense in the case of women. Originality/value The study highlights the role of visual aesthetics as a variable that explains user satisfaction in information systems; this fact emphasises on the importance of taking into account aesthetics when designing information systems. In addition, the findings support the existence of a novel relationship between visual aesthetics and information quality. Finally, new evidence on gender differences concerning user satisfaction in information systems is presented; this result indicates in the opposite direction to recent studies that imply a certain homogenisation of gender in relation to the perceptions associated with the technologies of the information.
