In the 2020 era, the corona pandemic has caused many impacts throughout the country that are very broad in all fields, including education. Learners and lecturers are no exception affected by the pandemic, and always strive to be able to carry out teaching and learning activities that can cover deficiencies in the field. Based on the current complex learning and living background, this article discuss the autonomous learning mode of College English learners, puts forward the discussion of constructing strategy from self-assessment to improve autonomous learning mode of college English in writing classess. In discussing this article, the writer used theoretical review and qualitative document methods which were observations, data collection, data processing, revisions, and documentation. Then, it can be concluded that the results of research on self-assessment can improve learner autonomy so that learners can get the ease from online writing classes during the pandemic and in the future from direct methods (face to face) learning more beneficially

College English learning now has attracted a great deal of attention, but many non-English majors students have major problems in terms of English learning, and how to improve the non-English majors' autonomous learning efficiency is the problem that the majority of English educators can not ignore. Through a college non-English major students' English learning science test survey, usual English learning and English language proficiency scores for tracking and monitoring, and data for scientific analysis, and monitoring results, this article indicates that by increasing the non-English majors' autonomous learning teaching mode, the students' efficiency and academic performance have improved significantly. From subsequent cognitive satisfaction survey for self-acceptance, this teaching mode's performance is quite satisfactory.

Based on multiple dimensions, with a contemporary college students’ self-built English learning questionnaire (r = 0.872) of 775 subjects from two universities, and with a stratified sampling (120) and optimal oblique rotation, this study found some main factors of college Non-English major students. Results show that factor composition as a whole has a unique representation law. This study provides targeted psychological guidance for students to enhance their confidence and to improve their ability of meta-monitoring. Meanwhile, it has certain enlightenment for current college-English grading, classification and stratified teaching reform and improvement of students’ interest in learning English.

This paper attempts to solve the following problems of traditional Internet Eng-lish learning websites: the emphasis on the teaching process over the timely feed-back of the students, the bottleneck on the autonomous learning ability of the stu-dents, and the delay in the update of relevant resources. For this purpose, the au-thor established a web-based English autonomous learning platform. Specifically, the conceptual model was analysed by the object-oriented technology, the brows-er/server (B/S) architecture was set up to send data to the ADO.NET-based backend database, and displayed as webpages. The research results show that the design and implementation of the proposed system offers a preliminary solution to the lack of collaborative communication in traditional webpage learning, and widens the range of resource sharing. The system is in line with the English learners’ demand for and interests in Internet learning, and arouses the students’ interests and enthusiasm of English learning.

The research investigates undergraduates’ English abilities of autonomous learning in the environment of ecological affordance. It proves that their abilities are significantly different before and after independent learning in one semester, and they can actively try their own learning strategies and achieve good results in English learning, which reflects the success of cultivating the ability of autonomous learning. And it also holds that it is a good ecological affordance when learners could sense and understand abundant learning resources under their teachers’ effective guidance, and thus arouse enough enthusiasm for English learning to guarantee the quality of College English instruction.

With the acceleration of global integration, the demand for English instruction is increasingly rising. On the other hand, Chinese English learners struggle to learn spoken English due to the limited English learning environment and teaching conditions in China. The advancement of artificial intelligence technology and the advancement of language teaching and learning techniques have ushered in a new era of language learning and teaching. Deep learning technology makes it possible to solve this problem. Speech recognition and assessment technology are at the heart of language learning, and speech recognition technology is the foundation. Because of the complex changes in speech pronunciation, a large amount of speech signal data, the high dimension of speech characteristic parameters, and a large amount of speech recognition and evaluation computation, the large volume of speech signal processing requires higher requirements of hardware and software resources and algorithms. However, traditional speech recognition algorithms, such as dynamic time-warped algorithms, hidden Markov models, and artificial neural networks, have their advantages and disadvantages. They have encountered unprecedented bottlenecks, so it is difficult to improve their accuracy and speed. To solve these problems, this paper focuses on evaluating the multimedia teaching effect of college English. A multilevel residual convolutional neural network algorithm for oral English pronunciation recognition is proposed based on a deep convolutional neural network. The experiments show that our algorithm can assist learners in identifying inconsistencies between their pronunciation and standard pronunciation and correcting pronunciation errors, resulting in improved oral English learning performance.
