The article considers briefly the hand power tool market in Russia. The authors set the parameters of a wave gear electric drill with intermediate rolling solids. Its field of application is also described. The design is developed on the basis of a commutator motor with a useful capacity 1,0 kW. The rotation speed of the motor armature is 15000 rpm. The rational rotation frequency of an auger working body is 200...300rpm. It is necessary to create a gear with a ratio 59 and with parameters comparable to the size of a hand-held machine engine in order to have esthetics. In this case, the diameter of rolling elements should lie in the range 2 to 3 mm. The authors made a research on hand-held electric drill runnability with such characteristics. They presented dependency diagrams of an auger working body critical rotation frequency from a lead angle while drilling different types of soil. They determined important power and geometrical criteria to design a gearbox. The calculation results are presented in tables.

Packaged sugar is one of the products in sugar cane manufacture, PT Madubaru Yogyakarta. Currently, the company deals with a high distribution cost because there is no plan to determine the vehicle route, vehicle type, and capacity for distributing the product. In this research, the optimum route of the distributing vehicles is developed. The company has three different types and capacity of vehicles: L300, HD, and PS. A problem in determining the distribution route here is called as Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). The basic form of classic VRP says that all vehicles owned by a company have the same capacity (homogenous), meanwhile not all companies have the vehicles with same capacity. The heterogeneous variant is used to minimize the fixed cost of vehicles and distribution variant cost using Sequential Insertion Algorithm. This research has three purposes; are minimizing the number of vehicles used (NV), Total time of Completion tour (TCT) and Distribution Total Cost (TCD). The results based on a test calculation of a shipment date (August 19, 2016) of the company show three alternative solutions to distribute the packaged sugar to 12 consumers. The third alternative solution is the optimal solution and chosen as the decision result of the packaged sugar shipment. Based on the calculation results, it is needed 2 vehicles type HD with capacity 7,000 kg and type PS with capacity 3,500 kg, with total time of completion tour (TCT) is 828.49 minutes or 13.81 hours, and distribution total cost is IDR. 959,011.

In the present study the modeling of the HEBM process is presented. The impact velocity, impact angle, rotation speed, mass of balls, ball-to-powder weight ratio and time of milling have been taken into account in order to calculate the energy transferred from the balls to the powder. Two different systems, namely, TiN-AlN and polysalicylic acid were experimentally investigated in order to confirm the validity of the model. The calculation results are in a reasonable agreement with the results of experimental research.

This paper gives a model of using CFD to calculate the airflow between taker-in and its casing in the A186 carding machine for researching static pressure of the airflow with FLUENT software. The model analyzes the static pressure in the casing of taker-in under the condition of the different rotation speeds of taker-in and cylinder and two gauges in air inlet of the casing. The numerical calculation of the model shows that the rotation speed of taker-in and cylinder has an obvious influence on the static pressure of the casing, of which the effect of rotation speed of taker-in is larger than that of cylinder, and the static pressure increases gradually from air inlet to outlet between taker-in and its casing. Furthermore, the calculation results confirm that while the gauge of the air inlet diminish, the static pressure of the air inlet decreases but that of the air outlet has little change. The calculation result of the model has a good agreement with the conclusion of previous study with the experimental method.

The hole forming device is an important element of the buckwheat hill-drop planter, and its design level directly affects the seeding quality of the hill-drop planter. A hole forming device with a duckbill structure is widely used in hill-drop planters for wheat, cotton, peanuts, etc. According to the requirements of buckwheat seeding operations, this study designs the components of the duckbill hole forming device. It is determined that the duckbill upper jaw length is 65 mm, the duckbills number is 10, the pressure plate on the spring side length is 90 mm, the duckbill opening size is 8.79 mm, and the duckbill effective opening time is 0.1 s. Through co-simulation analysis of discrete element software EDEM (DEM-Solutions, Edinburgh, United Kingdom) and multi-body dynamics software RecurDyn (FunctionBay, Inc., Seongnam-si, South Korea), it is measured that when the pressure plate on the spring side is directly below the rotation axis of the dibber wheel, the spring compression is 33.3 mm, the pressure on the pressure plate is 95–102.6 N, and the contact time of a single duckbill with the soil is 0.2 s at a speed of 40 r/min. Based on the results of the design and simulation analysis, the large end diameter, small end diameter, original length and wire diameter of the duckbill spring are 36 mm, 26 mm, 60 mm, and 1.8 mm, respectively. An experimental bench for the seeding wheel of a buckwheat hill-drop planter was built, and three wire diameter duckbill springs of 1.6 mm, 1.8 mm and 2.0 mm were tested to verify the simulation and calculation results. The experimental results show that the optimal wire diameter of the duckbill spring is 1.8 mm. Finally, a single factor experiment of the dibber wheel rotation speed was carried out. The experimental results show that when the rotation speed of the dibber wheel is 40–65 r/min, the seeding qualification rate, seeding void hole rate and seeding damage rate of the buckwheat hill-drop planter are ≥85.3%, 0, and <0.3%, respectively. This study provides a basis and reference for the hole forming device design of a buckwheat hill-drop planter.

By the study of changes in housing prices in Chines domestic during 1997-2009, we establish a Chinese house prices constitution model based on Analytic Hierarchy Process. The model is including five elements, namely, land acquisition costs, construction costs, the state's tax policy, developers expected profits and cost of sales, which does not consider regional differences. Because China has a vast territory, the regional economic development is uneven and housing prices are quite different, we select the typical city to modify the model based on different types of urban land cost impact on house prices. Meanwhile,we analyze the affect of the five elements to house prices changes. Further,we taking into the influence of land to the house prices of different types of urban, and the justifiability of land prices are analyzed and evaluated quantitatively. According to the calculation results, analyzing the reasons of high house prices in China and some suggestions are given.

AbstractIn an analysis of the rotational properties of more than 1100 B stars (~660 cluster and ~500 field B stars), we determine the projected rotational velocity (V sin i), effective temperature, gravity, mass, and critical rotation speed for each star. The new data provide us a solid observational base to explore many hot topics in this area: Why do field B stars rotate slower than cluster B stars? How fast do B stars rotate when they are just born? How fast can B stars rotate before they become Be stars? How does the rotation rate of B stars change with time? Does the evolutionary change in rotation velocity lead to the Be phenomenon? Here we report the results of our efforts in searching for answers to these questions based on the latest B star census.

Nowadays, there are many methods to detect and diagnose defects in mechanical components during operation. The newest methods that can be found in the literature are based on intelligent classification systems and evaluation of patterns to obtain a diagnosis; however, there is not any standard method to assess features. Wavelet packet transform allows to obtain interesting patterns for evaluating the condition of rotating elements. To perform this calculation, it is necessary to select a series of parameters that affect the resulting pattern. These parameters are the decomposition level and the mother wavelet function. A detailed methodology for the selection of the mother wavelet is proposed, which is the aim of this work, to obtain the most suitable patterns in the diagnostic task. This proposed methodology is applied to data obtained from a rotating shaft with a crack located at the change of section. These signals were measured at low rotation frequency (below the critical rotation frequency) and without eccentricity, where detection becomes more complex.

Multi-stage centrifugal pumps for mining are widely used in mining and smelting industry. The operational environment in coal mine sewage is very harsh, so pump shaft and bearing failure happens frequently. In order to avoid disaster damage caused by failure of the pump shaft due to resonance, it is quite necessary and urgent to calculate critical rotation speed of the pump shaft. A calculation program of critical rotation speed for multi-stage centrifugal pumps for mining was developed using the secondary development tool of Object ARX, to give the computational method of the pump shaft load and static deflection and to achieve calculation of the critical speed, and which avoided the disadvantage of the traditional method. The practical application indicates that the program of critical rotation speed is convenient, intuitive and calculation accurate. It not only improves the work efficiency, but also reduces the labor intensity, so the program will have a good application prospect.
