Abstract

Highway is a land transportation infrastructure that forms a transportation network to connect an area to other regions, so that the wheels of the economy and development can rotate well. This research was based on the road age of the third year of the road Krueng Geukueh - Beureughang, so the researchers wanted to know what factors were the causes of performance degradation on the road and the relationship between the decline in road performance on the material used. In this study includes 3 stages, namely, Core drill, Marshall Test testing and testing of Test Extracts that have been achieved using 8 (Eight) samples. So it can be concluded that there has been a decrease in asphalt levels on the road resulting in damage and decreased performance on the road. Coupled with increased charges within 3 (three) years, therefore repairs to the road are needed. From this research, it is expected to be able to provide input to improve the quality of the material and the layer of road surface pavement.

Keywords : Decreasing Road Performance, Core Drill, Marshall Test, Test Extract, Asphalt Level.

The article presents the relationship between the intensity of bicycle traffic volume and the development of bicycle infrastructure on the example of Warsaw. There has been a big increase in cycling over the last decade. At the same time, the linear and point bicycle infrastructure developed very strongly. Similar trends are also observed in other cities in Poland. The article presents the types of infrastructure available to cyclists. Then, the method of assessing the bicycle infrastructure is presented, taking into account the five features of good bicycle infrastructure: cohesion, directness, attractiveness, safety and comfort. In terms of coherence, the analysis covered the bicycle infrastructure network in the vicinity of the measurement site. The directness was tested by checking the accessibility of several dozen of the most important nodal points of the city's communication network. The attractiveness was examined by checking the availability of public bike stations, bicycle racks and bike-sharing stations. The infrastructure adjusted to the technical class of the road was adopted as a measure of safety. The comfort was checked by analyzing the quality of the road surface, which affects the driving comfort and energy expenditure. All the factors presented impact the cyclist's assessment of the infrastructure. To standardize the assessment rules, an aggregate index of the development of bicycle infrastructure was determined. The analysis was carried out for 10 sample points for four consecutive years. The points were characterized by different bicycle infrastructure, location in the city road network and different results of bicycle traffic measurements. The analysis showed a strong positive relationship between traffic and cycling infrastructure for most of the analyzed places. There was a negative dependence in the case of the construction of alternative routes in relation to the place of traffic measurements. The obtained results are the same as in the works of other authors. However, the effects of work do not allow to determine which of the examined factors is the cause and which is the effect but only show the existing relationship.

Performance of road cars is criterion which connects all stages of life cycle of the road and life cycle of road cars. To ensure the life cycle of roads and the life cycle of road machines, at least three conditions must be fulfilled: the completion of the necessary volumes of pre-construction work on time; Maintenance of road machines at the level enabling them to perform technical tasks; The quality of the scope of work should meet the requirements. Thus, one of the objectives of the work carried out was to study the relationship between the volumes of work carried out by road machines while ensuring the life cycle of roads and the stages of the life cycle of road machines through their performance. The purpose of this article is to show how the technical, operational planned (necessary) and actual performance of road machines was determined when working at specific facilities during the experiment.

Quality of Worship and Intensity of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar in Muslim Personal Religiousity Spectrum. Islam as dienullah is the most perfect religion. Islam has the practice of completely surrendering to Allah, it is the core attitude of Muslim personal riligiusitas and the realization of noble morality (mahmudah). Understanding and reintroducing Islamic teachings is one of the aspects that must be considered is the quality of worship and the importance of being in the way of marriage. This has actually been widely known by Muslims, so what is needed is how to implement and sharpen the sense of religion towards self and others so that it becomes a driver and encouragement in preaching. Da’wah can be interpreted as the process of delivering Islamic religion to mankind. In a process of da’wah it is not only a conveying endeavor, but an attempt to change the way of thinking, the way of feeling, the way of life, the human being is the target of the mission towards the better. The quality of worship and success in preaching are finally seen when behavior is a reflection of faith. So sincerity in devotion to God will be biased to the spirit of work ethic both in the realm of human relations with God and the relationship between humans and humans (hablun minallah wa hablun minannas). This is where the meeting point between the quality of worship and the spirit of preaching in the spectrum of one’s religious reality.

We present a moisture content and permittivity model to simultaneously detect and estimate defects in loess subgrade. Based on the ground-penetrating radar (GPR) method, the dielectric properties of loess in the northwest of China and the imaging feature of the moisture content of different strata were studied. The relative permittivity of loess with different moisture contents was experimented in the laboratory. It was found that the relative permittivity of unsaturated loess was positively related to moisture content. The relationship between relative permittivity and moisture content in different antenna frequencies of GPR was analyzed. Electromagnetic wave reflection rules in the loess interface were studied using the numerical method with different moisture contents. With the increase in moisture content, the amplitude of GPR was increased. When the above conclusions were applied in the engineering practices, there are good effects to detect the defects of the road subgrade. It is a significant guidance for determining the qualitative research of defects in the roadbed.

Purpose Outsourcing has become part of organizational strategy for achieving efficiency and effectiveness. This study aims to examine outsourcing and public universities’ performance in Nigeria, the mediating effect of trust. Design/methodology/approach The study used 353 respondents as sample size drawn from 12 public universities across the six geo-political zones of the country. The study used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using ADANCO 2.0.1. Findings The study found significant relationships between outsourcing and quality of teaching and research (core activities) and outsourcing and the quality of other activities (non-core). Also, the study found a significant relationship between outsourcing and low-cost. While the study supports the position of transaction cost economics and relational theories, in contrast, it has not supported the core competence theory. Generally, the study found that outsourcing significantly affects public universities’ performance in Nigeria, and trust partially mediates the relationship. Research limitations/implications The study, such as any other research, has limitations. The study is only limited to public universities and the research has not included students in its survey. Practical implications Managers of public universities are always looking for ways to reduce costs and enhance the quality of their activities. This study has demonstrated the relevance of outsourcing activities in Nigerian Public Universities. Therefore, managers should focus on outsourcing in areas that have not been outsourced but have the potentials of efficiency and effectiveness if outsourced. Furthermore, the study broadens the understanding of promoting an environment of trust in outsourcing; therefore, managers should encourage trust with their vendors to achieve the desired outcomes of outsourcing. Originality/value This study examines the mediating effect of trust on the relationship between outsourcing and public universities’ performance in Nigeria empirically, drawing on the core and non-core activities of the universities. The study has contributed to the discourse on outsourcing and public universities’ performance in Nigeria. The study also unveiled the contribution of outsourcing activities in public universities in Nigeria, and how trust as a uni-dimensional construct mediates in achieving outsourcing that contributes to the public university system. Finally, the study also contributed to the understanding that universities can outsource some of their core competences and achieve performance.

In the first part of the paper, I shall offer a brief overview of a hypothesis developed in another publication, which explores the relationship between the primordial feeling of trust that each person’s face elicits to varying degrees and how this represents a type of capital for influencers. In the second part of the paper, I shall develop this model using theoretical know-how from the field of brand management, where a beneficial link between the influencer communication model and that of legendary brands emerges. Thus, for an influencer to build invaluable trust capital with his/her followers in the first place, he/she must start from the position of some passion or sacred beliefs which give authenticity to the core expertise underlying the influence being exerted. In this model, the communicative performance of the influencer and the quality of his/her narrative take centre stage. Credibility depends on the synchrony between these elements and the extent to which the constructed public influencer’s character is true to itself in its various manifestations. An explicitly or implicitly defined lifestyle is always present in the system. It provides concreteness and makes it easier for followers to compare and imitate.

Abstract The road conditions with high density and noise levels as well as the limited availability of plants along the road could lead to an increase in noise pollution. The quality of the road environment is influenced by the types of plants planted along the road. This study aims to determine the relationship between types of plants in absorbing noise pollution to improve the quality of the road environment. Data on plant type and noise levels on urban roads are obtain from previous research that has been conducted in several road segments in urban areas. The analysis will show the relationship between certain types of plants in reducing the level of noise pollution along urban roads. The reduced level of noise pollution due to absorption by certain types of plants can increase the comfort of road users in driving. In addition, improving the quality of the road environment can also support the implementation of the Green Infrastructure concept. Therefore, the quality of the road environment can be one of the considerations in planning urban roads.
