The typical feature of emergent economies is a slow, apparent transformation from being predominantly a home base of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to becoming more home markets for various firms that expand internationally. In this aspect, China differs from its Asian forerunners. Without question, the most rapid development in recent decades within East Asia and the global economy as a whole is the (re-)emergence of China. While most studies on growth strategies for multinational corporations from emerging economies come from the perspective of economic strategies in international business, this study offers a novel perspective by using visual semiotics as a framework of study and analysis of data. It uses theories of social semiotics borne of the traditions of linguistics to conduct a systematic analysis of the representations of China's desire to go global with their automobile industry. The company in focus is China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely) in the years between 2007 to 2011, just prior to an after its acquisition of Volvo Car Corporation (VCC).

AbstractRapid development of civilization, observed in the contemporary world, makes human life easier, but at the same time, it brings a lot of dangers and threats. Constant ‘race against the clock’, moving from one place to another, stress and fatigue result in a growing number of traffic accidents which claim the lives and health of adults as well as children. Most of the injuries are multiple traumatic injuries that affect two or more bodily organs or systems and cause damage to at least two body areas. They constitute exceptionally difficult, interdisciplinary therapeutic problem which is the most frequent cause of death and development of a disease in children over 3 years old.The aim of this research study was to conduct a retrospective analysis of physiotherapeutic procedures applied in the course of treatment of multiple trauma in children hospitalized in the Voivodship Medical Centre in Opole (Wojewódzkie Centum Medyczne). It was carried out in the group of 9 children aged 5-17 in the years of 2011-2013. As multiorgan injuries in children affect a developing body, they require a professional, interdisciplinary, therapeutic proceeding. The analysis of the ways of treatment shows that after securing basic vital functions of the children and the stabilization of their health, physiotherapy takes its turn. Its main role is to restore child’s physical ability, which was disordered due to the injury, as much as it is possible. According to the analysis of clinical and therapeutic progress in all 9 patients suffering from multi-organ injuries, an attempt has been undertaken to set the scheme of physiotherapeutic proceeding in such cases. Preparing the scheme, all basic rules of physiotherapeutic proceeding have been taken into consideration, namely, introducing therapeutic activities as soon as possible taking into account patient’s condition and the extent of damage/injury.The analysis proved that physiotherapy in multiple trauma is a complicated process that involves many techniques, methods and procedures. Moreover, every physiotherapeutic treatment ought to be adjusted individually to the patient depending on their condition and dysfunctions. Skilful management of the rehabilitation process significantly accelerates patient’s recovery to the extent of proper physical function, and limits the degree of disability after multipletrauma.

Abstract Due to increasing human population and the number of vehicles, road traffic accident has significant influence on human life and economic development. In the present study, road traffic accident data of three years (2015-2017) were obtained from Hosanna Town Traffic Police Department, and Hosanna Town Transport Authority in Ethiopia. The Global Position System was used to know X, Y coordinates of the accident locations. Global Position System point data and accident data were added to road network data using the ‘Joins and relates’ function in ArcGIS. The results of the study showed a total of 241 Road traffic accidents (RTAs) were occurred in the town from which about 208 victims occurred on people and 33 damaged properties. Based on severity and frequencies of RTAs top nine hot spot areas were identified which requires high attention to protect people and property from damage and loss. Thus, the government and other concerned stakeholders should provide public education and awareness creation to reduce risk of fatalities and property damage due to RTAs in Hosanna town.

With the rapid development of economy and the improvement of people's living standard, there are more and more vehicles in China, with the increase of traffic accidents. In this paper, by analyzing the factors of social influence on motor vehicle traffic accident, we establish the index system, that is corresponding relationship of motor vehicle traffic accident and factors of social influence, According to this index system, design of motor vehicle traffic accident prediction method based on SVM. Based on the statistical data of social factors and motor vehicle traffic accident in 1985-2012 in china, to train the SVM model, at the same time, the kernel function and parameters of SVM used were setting and compared. The experimental results show that, the accuracy of the use of the RBF function is 97.2%, predicted by using time 95ms, with higher accuracy and faster computing speed.

Abstract With the rapid development of computer technology, sensor technology, and communication technology, people have gradually designed and continuously improved the health monitoring system of bridge structure. Due to the uninterrupted long-term work of the bridge monitoring system, the long-term operation of a large number of sensors will generate massive amounts of data, and a lot of data to be transmitted from the data collector at the bridge site to the data monitoring center requires the use of a wireless network with limited speed, which will consume a lot of time, thereby bring such negative effects as reducing transmission efficiency, reducing throughput, increasing transmission costs, and affecting the entire bridge inspection system. This paper proposes a parallel compression method of LZSS data based on FPGA, which can compress the incoming data from the sensor system in parallel in the data acquisition system to improve the transmission efficiency, increase the throughput, and reduce the transmission cost.

Transportation is a very important part of human life. In fact, the existence of a vehicle can improve all human activities in carrying out the occupied routine, but problems arise such as traffic jams and increased traffic accidents. The Minister of Transportation stated that 4 (four) people died every day due to traffic accidents, 72% occurred in Indonesia and 73.9% involved motorbikes. The incident was an indication that motorbikes were the main cause of traffic accidents and contributed the most victims. The traffic accident data of the East Nusa Tenggara POLDA in 2018 showed a trend of increasing traffic accidents in 2018. The level of population mobilization in the legal territory of the West Sumba POLRES is relatively high. Based on the annual report book of West Sumba POLRES in 2018 there have been traffic accidents with 126 cases. The study aims to determine the factors associated with motorcycle driver traffic accidents in the area of West Sumba POLRES in 2019. This type of research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional study approach. This research was conducted at the West Sumba Police Resort with a sample of 53 people. Analysis of the data used the chi-square statistical test. The results of this study indicate that the factors associated with traffic accidents are age (p = 0.004), behavior (p = 0.008), and lamp conditions (p = 0.005).

Abstract. With the rapid development of the economy, the number of vehicles in China has increased rapidly, which has also brought about frequent ills in traffic accidents. How to improve the efficiency of on-site treatment of traffic accidents, and quickly and accurately conduct accident investigation and analysis is imminent. This paper was based on the point cloud to draw the accident scene DLG, and then used the local elevation difference method to automatically extract the point cloud data of the accident vehicle, and analyzes the vehicle speed calculation, the damage area measurement and the road surface flatness, as well as constructs the overall 3D scene of the accident scene. By analyzing the DLG of accident scene, the point cloud data and the constructed 3D model, which could quickly improve the efficiency of traffic accident investigation. The application results show that the method of information collection and rapid exploration of the accident site what based on the laser point cloud not only provides a basis for traffic accident treatment, but also effectively shortens the exploration time of accident site. At the same time, it cloud relieve the traffic congestion in a certain extent with the obvious results.

Abstract Introduction: Motor vehicles have transformed human life in radical and contradictory ways. At the same time that cars have brought comfort and ease to human life, they are also a main cause of trauma, pain, disability, and death worldwide. Objective: To investigate the quality of life and self-esteem of traffic accident victims undergoing physical rehabilitation. Methods: This was a controlled, cross-sectional study that compared quality of life and self-esteem among traffic accident victims in physical therapy with other accident victims, physical therapy patients for other causes, and the general population. Results: The self-esteem of individuals undergoing physical therapy due to traffic accidents was lower compared to victims of other accidents and those in physical therapy for other reasons (p < 0.05). Regarding quality of life, the study group sample obtained the following mean scores: physical domain 48.1; psychological 52.8; social 68.1; environmental 54.1. These scores were lower than those of traffic accident victims who did not undergo physical therapy and of the general population in all domains (p < 0.05), but higher than that of individuals undergoing physical therapy for other causes, except in the psychological domain. Conclusion: Self-esteem and quality of life were low in traffic accident victims undergoing physical therapy. Physical therapy professionals can play an important role in improving these conditions provided they assume a humanized posture, practicing patient-centered rather than disease-centered health actions.
