The inter-regional mobilization is the scene of the fire power of the commanders of major hazard of fire according to first make the decision that the activities of fire rescue and command necessary step, whether the power to mobilize quickly, accurately and reasonably, is directly related to fire fighting and rescue operations success or failure[1]. Therefore, how to live according to the fire situation in a scientific and rational mobilization of fire fighting and power, integration and complementarity of fire and rescue resources, is to achieve regional rapid disposal of the fire units to improve performance of the fire rescue and command must be a key issue to face. This paper reviews the inter-regional fire power mobilization system development overview, an analysis of the system's user needs, and to inter-regional fire service emergency mobilization theory, the power to mobilize the light of regional fire law and algorithm model, using ESRI's ArcIMS map service platform, constructed under the framework of regional-based WebGIS scene of the fire power to mobilize the system. A brief introduction of the inter-regional scene of the fire power to mobilize the system design process, data sharing, the core modules such as content.

The inventory system is a system that has a very important role in a company. Inventory systems have been widely used or developed in a place with various technologies and systems. Problems at PT. Sanghiang Perkasa is due to the fact that the data has not been stored in a good file and the management and processing of inventory data is still processed in a conventional way, which has a very significant effect on the quality of the data and information produced. The main objective of this research is to produce an inventory system that is powerful and in accordance with the needs of the users associated with the inventory system. The system development method in this inventory system uses the waterfall method which consists of six stages. The stages are System Analysis and Design, software requirements analysis, system design, coding, system testing and maintenance. This system was built using the PHP programming language, DataBase MySQL. It is hoped that with the implementation of this inventory system at PT. Sanghiang Perkasa can make it easier to store and process data and information such as stock-taking data, information on incoming and outgoing goods transactions, purchase and sales return data, managing customer and supplier data to making product stock reports and assembly reports. A unique application of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) was carried out for the design of the B-1 aircrew instructional system. A preliminary report was presented at the 1975 Human Factors Society Meeting by Johnson, et aI, (1974) and Sugarman, et aI, (1974). Based on the additional experience, this presentation will share with the training community a look at some of the strengths and weaknesses of the SAT process. The particular application provided a harsh test of the process since the B-1 air vehicle is still in the developmental stages. This resulted in many opportunities to be faced with missing or incomplete data whose criticality to the analysis became more than apparent. The genral state-of-knowledge within Instructional System Development (ISD) itself is incomplete, which also became apparent when applying a highly structured (i.e., internally consistent and documented) SAT process. The major strength of the SAT process is the capability it provides for the justification of many decisions that were hitherto prone to hand-waving. This particular strength comes from the internal documentation for each decision process which is an important feature of SAT. The adequacy of the assumptions underlying the decision processes then becomes subject to scrutiny. The power of the documentation is enhanced by the use of computer aids in data management and economic analysis which facilitate the documentation. Within the present paper, problem areas which weaken the SAT process are also discussed. These include the data bases for the task analysis and economic/policy data, the media selection process, and the development of instructional strategies.

"What comes first: the chicken or the egg?" Eyes and vision were a great concern for Darwin. Recently, religious fundamentalists have started to attack evolution on the grounds that this is a chicken and egg problem. How could eyes improve without the brain module to use the new information that eye provides? But how could the brain evolve a neural circuit to process data not available to it until a new eye capability emerges? We argue that neural plasticity in the brain allows it to make use of essentially any useful information the eye can produce. And it does so easily within the animal's lifetime. Richard Gregory suggested something like this 40 years ago. Our work resolves a problem with his otherwise-insightful work.

The data visualization has become the core competitiveness of sports news.

Virtual proving ground (VPG) are used effectively for commercial vehicle system development, human factor study, and other purposes by enabling to reproduce actual driving conditions in a safe and tightly controlled environment. This paper describes a virtual proving ground developed for design and evaluation of commercial vehicle and for driver-vehicle interaction study. VPG consists of a real-time vehicle simulation system, a visual and audio system, a driver handling signals acquisition system providing a realistic interface between the operator and the simulated environment, and 3D proving ground databases with areas suitable for various types of vehicle test tasks. The real-time vehicle simulation system simulates dynamic motion of realistic vehicle models in real-time. The visual system generates high fidelity driving scenes. The handling signals collection system acquires the steering, braking, accelerating, and shifting operation of driver. The pilot experiments carried out in the areas of vehicle handling and stability study are also presented to show the effectiveness of the developed VPG.

Data warehouse is a system which can integrate heterogeneous data sources to support the decision making process. Data warehouse design is a lengthy, time-consuming, and costly process. There has been a high failure in data warehouse development projects. Thus how to design and develop a data warehouse have become important issues for information systems designers and developers. This paper reviews and discusses some of the core data warehouse design and development methodologies in information system development. The paper presents in particular the most recent and much heated hybrid approach which is a combination of data-driven and requirement-driven approaches.

The author emphasizes the fundamental role played by aesthetics in facilitating an accurate description of the human mind and introduce basic elements of a theory accounting for the influence of art on the cognitive system. A general bibliography is provided for the reader unfamiliar with the notions and desirous to pursue the analysis further.

The need to adopt an electronic health record (EHR) system in United States (U.S.) hospitals seems to be more and more obvious when evaluating the benefits of improved patient safety, quality of care, and efficiency. The purpose of the study was to identify the status of EHR systems in U.S. hospitals in regard to the core functionalities implemented (as identified by the Institute of Medicine) and to determine if there was a significant relationship between perceived level of benefit and risk with the use of each core functionality, as well as if there was a significant relationship between the status of the EHR system and size of hospital. A national survey of U.S. hospitals was conducted to answer the research questions. The results showed that 37% had some components in all.of the core functionalities of an EHR system, while 27% were using at least some functionalities. Health information and data, administrative processes, and results management were the three core functionalities that a majority of hospitals had as a part of their EHR system. A significant positive correlation between perceived benefits and risks was found in all of the eight core functionalities. There was no significant relationship found between status of EHR system and size of hospitals.

The aim of the present study was to describe and analyse the process of formulating the acidification theory in the Swedish research community. The empirical material was limited to articles written by Swedish researchers during the period 1950–1989 and published in international scientific journals utilizing a peer-review system. A model was developed to represent what Swedish researchers have regarded as the core of the acidification theory. Guided by the developed model, a qualitative content analysis of the scientific articles was conducted; i.e., we examined how central components and causal relationships of the theory have been explained and discussed. It should be emphasized that the present article describes an investigation of science itself (i.e., science in action) and is not an up-to-date review of acidification research. Our analysis revealed that some parts of the chain of evidence underlying the acidification theory were accepted before they were scrutinized by the scientific community and that the acidification complex was not conceptualized in accordance with the conceptualization of its various components. Actually, the acidification problem as a whole (i.e., the sum of all of its components) was not treated as a scientific theory that needed to be evaluated. This strongly indicates that the conceptualization was guided by factors that are generally, within the scientific community, considered to be external to the research process. There is no evidence that Swedish acidification research has adhered less stringently to scientific norms than environmental research in general has. Indeed, it is likely that such hidden patterns normally influence the conceptualization of science and we, therefore, conclude that the influence of factors that are not strictly a part of the research process must be further elucidated if the prerequisites and implications of research are to be clarified.Key words: scientific conceptualization, research process, acidification.
