To facilitate the independent learning and safety experiments, the network virtual laboratory is one of the hot spots of the current research. After analyzing advantages and disadvantages of the current virtual laboratory, this paper introduces the web-based and self-adaptive virtual laboratory platform, with a three-tier structure of the B/S mode. And the platform has two groups of users: teachers and students. Teachers can customize experiments which can be performed by students in the platform. The formation of the experiment consists of two parts: the equipment based on object-oriented ideas and used geometric modeling technology, which has more realistic effect, and achieves real-time rendering; And environmental background using cylindrical panoramic technology, which has photo effects, and loading faster. These two parts is combined through photography geometric principles. The experiment proved that in this virtual laboratory platform, the experiment is loading fast, have stronger sense of immersion and effectively improve the students' network learning efficiency.

This theme:” The Use of Skills and particularly Developing a Basis for Reading and Learning” is very broad, interesting, challenging and very useful at the same time. It is very useful for teachers and students during lectorical exercises which require a joint effort of participating interactively in class in order to be more efficient, flexible and pragmatic in order to achieve the main goal of learning and improving English Language. This source of information is useful for native speakers as well as for us, that are learning and improving English Language as a second language that intend to be future teachers or interpreters from English to respective languages.To Learn and improve English language are used the four main skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking (Communicating) and Writing. During lectures in order to practice and elaborate each of the skills, teachers and students encounter into different situations that in order to answer or conduct one of the skills you will have to answer and imply flexibility and efficiency by giving answers by all the other subjects which I consider an interweave of grammar, morphology, syntax, phonology, and for style of language explanations from theory of literature. And to grasp the main purpose or idea of the author to have general knowledge of different fields in life such as social, psychological, economical, historical ect.Through this paper work I will try to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of using the first main skill which is Reading, how to analyze the reading efficiency and learning style, how to develop the reading flexibility, principles of efficiency, evaluating the rate of reading and flexibility the factors that have impact in reading efficiently. Shortly as well is mentioned critical thinking and active reading which guides toward thinking and improving concentration. Finally, how to monitor comprehension the factors that impact upon reading which require pre-reading, rereading and prediction to retain elevating results.

AbstractRestrictions in the access to healthcare facilities during COVID-19 pandemic have raised the need for remote monitoring of chronic medical conditions, including multiple sclerosis (MS). In order to enable the continuity of care in these circumstances, many telemedicine applications are currently tested. While physicians’ preferences are commonly investigated, data regarding the patients’ point of view are still lacking. We built a 37 items web-based survey exploring patients’ propensity, awareness, and opinions on telemedicine with the aim to evaluate the sustainability of this approach in MS. Analysing 613 questionnaires out of 1093 that were sent to persons with MS followed at the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Tor Vergata University, Rome, we found that more than half of respondents (54%) were open to having a televisit. Propensity toward telemedicine significantly depended on having a higher income (p = 0.037), living farther from the center (p = 0.038), using computer and tablet (p = 0.010) and using the Internet for other remote activities (p < 0.001), conversely it was not influenced by any specific disease characteristics (i.e. degree of disability). The main advantages and disadvantages of televisit reported by participants were respectively saving time (70%) and impossibility to measure physical parameters (71%). Although the majority of respondents are in favour of televisit, so far this approach is restricted to those displaying better socioeconomic conditions and higher familiarity with technology. Implications of the study are that telemedicine platforms should be better tailored to patients’ demands in order to spread the use of telemedicine, to enhance usability and to increase patients’ adherence.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to describe the development of new interactive, bi-lingual Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) resources called Tyfu i Fyny/Growing Up, suitable for students aged between five and 12 years. It also discusses the evidence used to support the development of the resources, the support provided for teachers and parents and an initial evaluation following their use. Design/methodology/approach – Tyfu i Fyny/Growing Up are interactive bi-lingual (Welsh and English) SRE teaching resources for primary schools suitable for students aged five to 12 years. These resources comprise of two components, an interactive electronic web-based programme and a floor mat illustrating a naked boy and girl. The electronic web-based programme is used to introduce puberty changes, loving relationships, conception, pregnancy and birth and is suitable for students aged nine to 12 years. The floor mat is suitable to be used with students aged between five and 12 years. Teaching activities can include naming body parts, discussing gender differences, personal safety, distinguishing between appropriate and inappropriate touching, discussing puberty changes and other health promotion activities as well as delivering aspects of the National Curriculum for Wales. Findings – The results from the initial evaluation undertaken with year six students and teachers demonstrates how the resources have impacted on the teaching and learning experiences of primary teachers and students. It also demonstrates how the teacher training sessions and using the Tyfu i Fyny/Growing Up resources have increased teachers’ confidence in delivering SRE. Practical implications – The learning experiences of students and their enjoyment of using the Tyfu i Fyny/Growing Up resources were significantly high. The implementation of teacher training improved teaching practice and increased teachers’ confidence in the subject. The resources have facilitated the delivery of effective whole school comprehensive SRE programmes for primary schools. These factors confirm the value of the investment given to their development. The resources could easily be customised in line with diverse ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious requirements. Originality/value – This paper demonstrates how the Tyfu i Fyny/Growing Up interactive SRE resources have influenced the teaching and learning experiences of primary school teachers and students.

By situating this article within disability studies, decolonial studies and postcolonial studies, my purpose is to explore orientations towards independence within public school practices and show how this serves to reinforce hierarchies of exclusion. As feminist, queer and postcolonial scholar Ahmed (2006, p. 3) contends, “Orientations shape not only how we inhabit, but how we apprehend this world of shared inhabitance as well as ‘who’ or ‘what’ we direct our energy toward” (Ahmed, 2006, p. 3). I wonder how the policies and practices that I am oriented towards as a public school teacher limit the possibilities of encountering teaching and learning as a mode of reckoning and apprehending “this world of shared inhabitance?” I also wonder how remaining oriented towards independence as the goal of learning simultaneously sustains an adherence to colonial western logics under the current neoliberal ethos. Through Ahmed’s provocation I explore how the gaze of both teachers and students in public schools remains oriented towards independent learning in a manner that sustains conditions of exclusion, marginalization and oppression.

Currently, online learning becomes a new trend in the Indonesian education. But, the educators are not ready to adapt to online learning, especially in online learning assessments. This study aims to describe the alternative assessments in online learning that can be implemented at elementary education along with its advantages and disadvantages. This study employed a qualitative approach with the literature review method. Researchers collected a number of reputable national and international journal articles, textbooks, handbooks, regulations, and so on from the google scholar database, science direct, eric, and others related to research problems and objectives. The analysis of the literature review uses the critical appraisal method. The results of this study showed that online learning assessments that can be implemented in elementary education were formative and summative assessments. It included cognitive assessments, performance assessments, portfolios, writings and journals, self-assessment and peers-assessments. The use of online learning assessments has many advantages such as the availability to conduct tests on demand and at any time, provides direct feedback to users, the students’ quick access to the test results, and a more accurate measurement of student learning. However, online assessment systems also have several drawbacks, such as students who have low information technology (IT) skills might be disadvantaged. For this reason, in implementing online learning and assessment, teachers and students should master information and communication technology skills.

<p>Blended teaching, as an important part of current teaching reform, is a combination of information-based teaching and traditional classroom teaching, which is conducive to students' independent learning. An integral feature and an urgent task of the modern education system is the use of digital products in educational practice. The forced implementation of mass distance learning in the period 2020-21 showed both the advantages and disadvantages of digital learning and set new horizons for optimizing this process. In May-June 2021, a study consisting of two parts was conducted: 1) an online survey of teachers of the general education system in order to determine the ideas about the advantages and risks for students when using digital products in educational practice; 2) an online survey of adolescent students in order to determine their ideas and experience of using digital products in the learning process. The sample consisted of 482 adolescents aged 13-15 years; 147 teachers of basic education with work experience from 3 to 23 years. Online surveys were conducted anonymously in the form of questionnaires using Google Forms. It was found that 80% of teachers and 98% of students highly appreciate the need to use digital products in educational practice. The majority of teachers noted the predominance of advantages provided by digital products as opposed to risks, the same idea was revealed in the survey of students. Conclusions are drawn about the similarities and differences in the understanding of teachers and students of the goals, forms and advantages of using digital educational products. For example, teachers believe that digital products should be used to copy educational materials and perform independent work tasks; they do not welcome their use during the lesson, which, on the contrary, is the main goal for students. The revealed discrepancies in the views of teachers and students regarding the goals, advantages and risks of using digital products makes the question of finding ways to coordinate and optimize relevant.

Technology has an important role in improving the quality of education. Learning that is supported by technological devices today seems obligatory to be used in line with the times. Even more varied learning that leads to independent learning for students. Independent learning for students requires teaching materials that can facilitate students in learning, one of which is web-based teaching materials. Web-based learning has been widely implementing in education. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence student interest in web-based learning in higher education using case studies. So that the data and information obtained can later be used as a foundation in the application of web-based learning that is more interesting and better than. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study. Factors that influence students' asking for web-based learning are: Web-based teaching materials are more comfortable to learn without having to print. The use of technology enables students to access knowledge anytime and anywhere. Interactions that occur in Web-based learning are more attractive, which allows students to be able to consult with lecturers at any time. The interface of web-based learning is exciting and not dull. Other factors can be sourced from the teaching style of lecturers, and so on. From several factors that influence student interest, it is also found that web-based learning can change the character of student learning more independently and more timely in the following knowledge and doing assignments given by lecturers.

In this paper, we consider the key problem of geometric modeling, connected with the construction of the intersection curves of surfaces. Methods for constructing the intersection curves in complex cases are found: by touching and passing through singular points of surfaces. In the first part of the paper, the problem of determining the tangent line of two surfaces given in parametric form is considered. Several approaches to the solution of the problem are analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of these approaches are revealed. The iterative algorithms for finding a point on the line of tangency are described. The second part of the paper is devoted to methods for overcoming the difficulties encountered in solving a problem for singular points of intersection curves, in which a regular iterative process is violated. Depending on the type of problem, the author dwells on two methods. The first of them suggests finding singular points of curves without using iterative methods, which reduces the running time of the algorithm of plotting the intersection curve. The second method, considered in the final part of the article, is a numerical method. In this part, the author introduces a function that achieves a global minimum only at singular points of the intersection curves and solves the problem of minimizing this function. The application of this method is very effective in some particular cases, which impose restrictions on the surfaces and their arrangement. In conclusion, this method is considered in the case when the function has such a relief, that in the neighborhood of the minimum point the level surfaces are strongly elongated ellipsoids. All the images given in this article are the result of the work of algorithms on methods proposed by the author. Images are built in the author’s software environment.
