To generate an information system which is in accordance with the needs of company requires an analysis of business processes by observing the running system. Solutions for problems found when doing the business are observed using the systems approach. Object-oriented analysis and design is a method currently used to build an information system. The system development with "Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)" method stated by Satzinger includes making activity diagram, event table, class diagram, usecase diagrams, usecase description, state chart diagram, deployment and software architecture, first-cut design class diagram, simple sequence diagram (SSD), the sequence diagram (first-cut, view layer, data access layer), communication diagram, updated design class diagram, package diagram, persistent object, user interface. The result obtained after performing all phases is an information system that fits the company needs which is expected to improve the performance and effectiveness in business processes and also support the company's business goals.

Information systems can be conceptualized in a number of ways. Most methodologies propose to analyze separately process and data semantics by projecting them into totally different diagram types. This system analysis and design tradition is very strong in most modeling approaches such as structured analysis as well as object-oriented design. Structural and behavioral aspects are complementary. They cannot be analyzed in isolation. Lack of a conceptual modeling approach, which can be used for verification of semantic integrity among various types of diagrams, is the cornerstone of frustration for information system architects. Inconsistency, incompleteness and ambiguity of conceptual views create difficulties in verification and validation of technical system architectures by business experts, who determine the organizational strategies. Consequently, the traditional information system methodologies are not able to bridge a communication gap among business experts and IT-system designers. Various interpretations of semantic relations in conceptual modeling approaches make the system analysis and design process more art than science. It creates difficulties to formulate comprehensible principles of decomposition and separation of concerns. Unambiguous definition of aggregation and generalization is necessary for breaking down information system functionality into coherent non-overlapping components. This article concentrates on conceptual modeling enhancements, which help to avoid semantic integrity problems in conceptualizations on various levels of abstraction. The presented conceptual modeling approach is based on a single type of diagram, which can be used for reasoning on semantic integrity between business process and data across organizational and technical system boundaries.

In this paper, we used UML method to complete the whole hospital information system analysis and design. It is described the system and determine the requirement of system’s function. It also completes the system’s architecture design and detailed design and implement to the system. The main idea of thesis is as follows: 1)It adopt UML to object-oriented the modeling hospital information system, and will be a good way to solve a few questions from hospital information system in nowadays. 2)It moves around the main ideas of RUP (use-case driven, architecture-centric, iterative and incremental). At the beginning of get demand, through the system analysis, system design, until to the final of the system implementation. It adopts the stepwise deduction to go deep into the way of refining organization to anatomize the whole the process of the hospital information system. Through the success of the hospital information system modeling to prove that the core idea of the UML-based on RUP modeling techniques is practical in the development of large-scale of application systems. At the same time, it also prepared to provide a better reference and instance for the project or team to adopt this technology.

We discuss the functional analysis and design of a general information provision mechanism. Our basic assumptions are that information provision mechanisms are best considered as a part of a problem management system which includes user, mechanism and knowledge resource, that such mechanisms must necessarily be multi-functional, and that they will include both human and machine components. By analyzing how such a mechanism must operate in order to help the user to treat her/his problem, we identify a number of discrete functions which interact in complex ways. This leads us to discuss a particular approach to the modelling and design of problem treatment situations, distributed problem treatment. This ap proach assumes that problem treatment can be broken down into a number of separate entitites, each of which makes hypotheses about its particular area of responsibility, and com municates these results to the other entities of the mechanism. We demonstrate, by partial example, that the information provision mechanism fulfills the requirements of this approach, and that this approach appears able to provide a means for analysis and design of information provision mechanisms which retains the level of complexity necessary for the sorts of mecha nisms our assumptions imply. We suggest a possible architec ture for the information mechanism based on this approach.

Abstract: To increase the competitiveness of a company requires information, including accounting information. With a good accounting information system, it is hoped that the results of physical process efficiency, data updates and accuracy will be achieved. The system design methodology in making the system goes through the stages (1) System Survey (2) System Analysis (3) System Design (4) System Development (5) Testing (6) System Implementation (7) System maintenance. However, with limited time and funds, the researcher completed the research to the system design stage in the form of standard operating procedures (SOP). As for the conclusion, it was found that the work was still inconsistent (same work but implemented in different ways), recording errors, process delays and poor quality. The system design model that has been prepared by the researcher for the Income Accounting Information System of PT Marci consists of the following procedures: (1) order receipt (2) contract agreement (3) work process (4) billing (5) recording. Keywords: System design, accounting information system, PT MARCI

Abstract Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) is a systems engineering methodology to understand the customer needs and create functional model to capture requirements and develop design definitions. This paper represents the MBSE activity carried out on Turbine Tip Clearance Control (TCC) System for a Trent XWB Engine. TCC is a critical system of an Aircraft engine, whose function is vital throughout the engine life. This is a complex system as both mechanical and control systems need to interact seamlessly to meet its operational requirement. The key accomplishment of this study is, abstracting of complex mechanical system into functional model and connecting it to functional model of Controls in MBSE environment. This is done for a system that meets the standards of very safety critical and highly regulated industry of Civil Aircraft Engines. The software used for building requirements models for TCC is Capella. Capella is open source free software built on Architecture Analysis and Design Integrated Approach (Arcadia) frame work. This framework extends and simplifies SysML. The advantages of this frame work over SysML are explained in [Ref. 1]. The Arcadia frame work is well suited to capture the complex systems involving multiple disciplines along with Mechanical systems as explained in [Ref. 2]. This paper presents a detailed study performed on product system level requirements and captures both functional and non-functional requirements such as operational and safety requirements. In the Arcadia framework this is represented at system analysis level. Further studies capture the logical and physical architecture which is representative in nature.
