In this paper, we used UML method to complete the whole hospital information system analysis and design. It is described the system and determine the requirement of system’s function. It also completes the system’s architecture design and detailed design and implement to the system. The main idea of thesis is as follows: 1)It adopt UML to object-oriented the modeling hospital information system, and will be a good way to solve a few questions from hospital information system in nowadays. 2)It moves around the main ideas of RUP (use-case driven, architecture-centric, iterative and incremental). At the beginning of get demand, through the system analysis, system design, until to the final of the system implementation. It adopts the stepwise deduction to go deep into the way of refining organization to anatomize the whole the process of the hospital information system. Through the success of the hospital information system modeling to prove that the core idea of the UML-based on RUP modeling techniques is practical in the development of large-scale of application systems. At the same time, it also prepared to provide a better reference and instance for the project or team to adopt this technology.

Stock Inventory Information System is a system used to enter inventory data for incoming and outgoing goods into the database, controlling inventory, and providing inventory information. So that there will be no errors in data input, data output, and report results based on the desired data. PT Berkatmas Mulia Guna is a company engaged in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) contractors. Includes new installation of HVAC machines and systems, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems. PT Berkatmas Mulia Guna also includes manufacturing HVAC machines such as AHU, FCU, Exhaust Fan, Supply Fan and Heating. A lot of data changes and a long process of stock data collection from suppliers and customers in the process of processing inventory data, will result in inaccurate data obtained. In inventory data collection, recording of incoming and outgoing goods still uses a manual process with excel which can result in duplicate data or duplicate data for processing inventory data. Based on this problem, the authors conducted a study entitled "Inventory Information System Stock Goods at PT. Berkatmas Mulia Guna ”which aims to make it easier to handle the stock inventory process, data entry and exit, delivery of goods, so that the inventory process of goods is faster and more precise. This application system development method uses the waterfall method which consists of six stages. The stages are System Analysis and Design, software requirements analysis, system design, coding, system testing and maintenance. In making this application using a desktop-based website programming language for the Windows operating system, and using the MySql database.

This research aims to analyze and design an administrative data management information system in LKP3I, which currently manages it is still manual, namely using Ms. Excel office tools, so it often experiences problems such as accumulation of documents, difficulty finding data, and scattered data of course participants. The application development process using the waterfall model includes collecting data and information, at the analysis stage using the elicitation approach technique which is represented by system modeling, namely flow maps, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams. Construction of web-based application systems using the programming languages VB.Net and Ms. Access as database management system, testing and evaluating the feasibility of the system using the BlackBox and group discussions. Based on the results of the research and system evaluation conducted, the prototype of the LKP3I administrative data management system that was built through the elicitation approach received a fairly good assessment, which proves that the hypothesis in this study has been tested. Respondents can receive the results of the information system prototype that will be implemented with the provision of improved specifications and functions of user requirements.

A complex power system may be modeled by a system of inequalities representing the constraints imposed by the physical laws: heat transfer, energy balance, cycle efficiency and so forth. The nature of the resulting mathematical model is such that the terms contain complex expressions involving the design and operating variables of the process. With the addition of an objective function involving the cost of major system components, a multivariable nonlinear programming problem can be formulated. Seldom does the model lend itself to analytical treatment. This paper is concerned with a specific formulation and solution of nonlinear programming problems which arise in the design of ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) power plants. The technique used is geometric programming, GP. It is shown that GP serves as an excellent tool for system analysis because it provides sensitivity information essential to the designer.

Information systems can be conceptualized in a number of ways. Most methodologies propose to analyze separately process and data semantics by projecting them into totally different diagram types. This system analysis and design tradition is very strong in most modeling approaches such as structured analysis as well as object-oriented design. Structural and behavioral aspects are complementary. They cannot be analyzed in isolation. Lack of a conceptual modeling approach, which can be used for verification of semantic integrity among various types of diagrams, is the cornerstone of frustration for information system architects. Inconsistency, incompleteness and ambiguity of conceptual views create difficulties in verification and validation of technical system architectures by business experts, who determine the organizational strategies. Consequently, the traditional information system methodologies are not able to bridge a communication gap among business experts and IT-system designers. Various interpretations of semantic relations in conceptual modeling approaches make the system analysis and design process more art than science. It creates difficulties to formulate comprehensible principles of decomposition and separation of concerns. Unambiguous definition of aggregation and generalization is necessary for breaking down information system functionality into coherent non-overlapping components. This article concentrates on conceptual modeling enhancements, which help to avoid semantic integrity problems in conceptualizations on various levels of abstraction. The presented conceptual modeling approach is based on a single type of diagram, which can be used for reasoning on semantic integrity between business process and data across organizational and technical system boundaries.

Abstract:Information processing in hospitals, especially in university hospitals, is currently faced with two major issues: low-cost hardware and progress in networking technology leads to a further decentralization of computing capacity, due to the increasing need for information processing in hospitals and due to economic restrictions, it is necessary to use, commercial software products. This leads to heterogeneous hospital information systems using a variety of software and hardware products, and to a stronger demand for integrating these products and, in general, for a dedicated methodology for the management of hospital information systems to support patient care and medical research. We present a three-level graph-based model (3LGM) to support the systematic management of hospital information systems. 3LGM can serve as a basis for assessing the quality of information processing in hospitals. 3LGM distinguishes between a procedural level for describing the information procedures (and their information interchange) of a hospital information system and thus its functionality, a logical tool level, focusing on application systems and communication links, and a physical tool level with physical subsystems (e.g., computer systems) and data transmission. The examples that are presented have been taken from the Heidelberg University Hospital Information System.
