The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the role of Hope Village Society (HVS) in Egypt in the provision of education to street children in order to establish its strengths and weaknesses to serve as lessons for other providers of education to street children. Data were collected using interview schedule and document analysis. Interviews were prepared conducted with eight of the management staff of HVS. The findings of the study reveal that HVS plays a major role in providing education for street children in Egypt. Since the establishment of HVS’s education programs in1995, it has recorded fluctuating enrolment rates. The participation of government organizations (GOs), non-government organizations (NGOs) and community at HVS’ education programs is less than expected. Like any other educational enterprise, HVS’s education programs are faced with quite a number of problems. The study recommends that the Egyptian government should offer more financial contributions to organizations that provide education to street children. There is also an immediate need to engage other possible partners of HVS’s education programs. Moreover, more research should be carried out in the area of pedagogy of street children.

Data collection used observation and analysis of documents. Data analysis uses qualitative analysis methods. This study's results indicate that street children in Indonesia have a variety of character problems, primarily economic, family, social, and legal issues. Therefore, the role of community and government institutions is needed to provide complete protection to realize human rights. The role of NGOs in advocating for street children in dealing with the law maximized. The productivity of legal aid institutions has resulted in various forms of legal assistance to street children involved in criminal acts; besides, aid is also in developing interests and talents of street children. The condition is that government assistance is needed to provide a particular budget for NGOs so that the process of advocating for street children carried out correctly. An evaluation of the role of NGOs in advocating for street children requires an in-depth study of other aspects.

At the core of the knowledge inquiry about behavioural differences is the nature versus nurture debate which has been central to the development of various theories of human personality. The metaphor of a pendulum, swinging back and forth between nature and nurture, has been used to depict the opinion of scholars and practitioners in the social sciences and psychology in this debate. Nature / Nurture debate seeks to proffer answers to the following questions: why do people differ significantly in temperament, approach to challenges and level of intelligence even when they are siblings sharing from the same pool of genes? The debate also seeks to understand why people with different genetic trait behave alike within a group. How does our physical environment affect human behaviour and what role does communication play in the development of human personality? In the context of street children in Nigeria, should we attribute human personality to nature or nurture? These are issues this paper seeks to deconstruct. Methodologically, the paper examines critical theories of human personality and utilises a mix of review of relevant literature, comments and observations to discuss the role of communication in the formation of human personality. It concludes that though nature contributes towards human behaviour and personality, communication, which is the tool that drives socialisation, is central to the development of personality among the street children of Calabar. Thus, if communication can influence personality negatively, then the street children of Calabar have a chance of being rehabilitated through a different kind of communication aimed at behaviour modification.

In this research, we have studied the population of street children in Khorram Abad in Iran, in 2015, with the emphasis on the role of economic and legal factors forcing children to work on the streets. The results of this research show that the issue of child labor is the consequence of both global and local matters. These children are the products of the urban society, poverty, and cultural, legal, and local factors. The research method is a survey, and the statistical population is the street children, aged between 7 to 18 living in Khorram Abad, in 2015. The sample population chosen randomly includes 242 people, and the required information was gathered using the questionnaire and interview technique. In Khorram Abad, Lorestan, economic crisis and parents' misdemeanor are the two main factors that force the children to fill their fathers' missing place by working in the streets. But, gender factors such as being a boy, and cultural factors such as belonging to a specific tribe are influential in the howness of this phenomenon. In this article, we have attempted to use native sources for a better understanding of the local situation of the phenomenon, and have proposed a few solutions to alter the current situation.

The diversity of NGOs makes it difficult to generalize, yet all have common origins in an individual with a dream and the will to establish an organization capable of providing a vital service for oneself or others. Less common are shared perspectives on what constitutes a "vital service." In the development context, provision of services is seen as the officially sanctioned role of NGOs, whereas many prefer to see themselves also as human-rights advocates playing watchdog and visionary roles that often demand fundamental structural changes to redress injustice. Ironically these organizations often are highly politicized entities in spite of their claims of an independent and apolitical status. This is certainly the case with many NGOs in Tanzania and else-where that are supported by national, international, bilateral, and/or multilateral funders (for a succinct discussion of historical and contemporary NGOs in East Africa see Fowler (1995)). Some of these NGOs garner huge sums; approximately 20 of the largest and most powerful NGOs operate on multimillion-dollar annual budgets. The politicization of Tanzanian NGOs also is fostered by their dependence on the government's acceptance of their activities. Because many of the most effective NGOs are major conduits of expertise and agenda setting in today's emerging processes of global governance, this political influence also can extend well beyond the nation's borders.
