Abstrak. Remaja dengan penampilan fisik berjerawat yang tidak sesuai dengan gambaran idealnya, dikatakan memiliki kepercayaan diri tinggi apabila ia mampu menerima dengan realistis dan mensyukuri serta bertindak positif sedangkan kepercayaan diri rendah apabila remaja tersebut merasa tidak puas, malu, kecewa dan menolak keadaan dirinya. Jerawat atau acne vulgaris adalah peradangan folikel sebasea yang ditandai oleh komedo, papula, pustula, kista dan nodulus di wajah, leher, badan atas dan lengan atas. Jerawat cukup merisaukan karena berhubungan dengan menurunnya kepercayaan diri akibat berkurangnya keindahan wajah penderita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat kepercayaan diri dengan jerawat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah korelasional dengan pendekatan waktu cross sectional (potong lintang). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa/i kelas X-XII SMA Negeri 7 Manado yang berjerawat dengan jumlah 90 responden yang dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling. Untuk menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat kepercayaan diri dengan jerawat digunakan teknik analisis Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi antara jerawat dengan kepercayaan diri sebesar -0,068, artinya jerawat dengan kepercayaan diri memiliki hubungan negatif dimana keeratan korelasinya sangat lemah (<0,20) sehingga dapat dikatakan tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan jerawat (Sig=0,523). Artinya, kondisi fisik dalam hal ini jerawat bukan satu-satunya faktor yang mempengaruhi kepercayaan diri. Konsep diri, pengalaman, pendidikan merupakan faktor internal dan orang tua, teman sebaya dan masyarakat merupakan faktor eksternal yang bisa mempengaruhi kepercayaan diri. Responden yang memiliki kepercayaan diri tinggi walaupun berjerawat tidak berorientasi pada penampilan fisik semata, karena mereka merasa yakin akan kemampuan dan potensi dirinya pada hal-hal yang lain.Kata kunci: Remaja, Kepercayaan Diri, Jerawat.Abstract. Adolescents with acne in physical appearance that doesn’t like the ideal appearance, is said that have confidence when he can accept realistically, still feel grateful and act positively while low confidence if these adolescents are not satisfied, embarrassed, disappointed, and rejected themselves. Acne vulgaris is the inflammation of the sebaceous follicles characterized by comedones, papules, pustules, cysts and nodules on the face, neck, upper trunk and upper arms. Acne is troubling because it is related to the degradation of self confidence due to the beauty of the face.This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the level of confidence with acne. This type of study is correlational with cross sectional approach. The subjects are SMAN 7 Manado students who have acnes with 90 respondents chosen by purposive sampling. Spearman Rank analysis techniques is used to.The results showed that the correlation coefficient between acne with confidence at -0.068, meaning the relationship between acne and confidence is negative which the closeness of the correlation is very weak (<0.20) so that it canbe said there is no significant relationship between confidence with acne (Sig = 0.523). It means, the physical appearance in this case the acne is not the only factor affecting confidence. Self-concept, experience, education is the internal factors and their parents, peers and the community are the external factors that can affect confidence. Respondents with high self confidence eventhough have acnes are not oriented on their physical appearance alone, , because they feel confident in the ability and potential for him in other things.Keywords: Adolescents, Confidence, Acne.

The aim of this article is to show the relationship between Soviet partisans and the Ukrainian population in the western regions of Ukraine. It also aims to demonstrate how the attitude toward the armed troops of the Ukrainian national and nationalist underground, which operated in the area between 1942 and 1944, changed under the influence of the war on the Eastern Front and internal factors. All this led to the outbreak of an open armed conflict and terror of the red partisans against the Ukrainian peasants, most of whom supported national and nationalist partisans. These events are presented against the background of political, social and military conditions for the operation and development of the Soviet partisan movement in the area of Volhynia and Eastern Galicia. This article also describes how the Soviet security police and army fought the OUN-B and UPA in this area and repressed members of the anti-communist underground and its civilian supporters during the re-establishment of the communist authorities after 1944. It also attempts to show the similarities and differences between the events in Western Ukraine (1943–1945) and the Civil War in Yugoslavia (1941–1945), including the local communists’ fight for power in the country.

Corporate governance is one of the most vital issues in this compound environment at present, which is indicated by the fact that the success or failure of firms strongly depends on performance of the control that board of directors and executive board, take on corporations’ activities. This issue has attracted a variety of researches worldwide, and become a popular buzz lately, however there is still limited researches on this topic in Vietnam. In this paper, we focus on manufacturing sector, one of the most important industries in Vietnam economy, which account for 41.2% of total GDP in 2012. By using stakeholder theory and Kitamura’s paper as a corner stone, a model using OLS regression and log functional form for production function, showing the relationship between some external factors and internal factors including corporate governance is built. From the result of the research, it has been found out that internal factors (corporate governance) significantly affect the firm’s performance, whereas external factors (market share) do not really show any influence. In term of production function, this manufacturing sector still benefits from an increase of capital but not that of labor.

Objective: The inventory management faces a trade-off which affects firms in the relationship between whether maintaining high inventories and decreasing the probability of stock-outs or keeping inventory levels lower and applying the excess cash to other investments. Thus, this paper investigates the relationship between inventory management and performance. Method: The sample is comprised of non-financial Brazilian firms listed in the BM&FBovespa from 2010 to 2016, and due to inventory is not to be a relevant factor in the revenues of all the firms of the initial sample, it was applied a procedure to refine the sample through a simple linear regression to only comprise firms with a significant relationship between inventory and sales. To test the assumptions declared by the study, we used a quantitative approach based in a regression analysis. Results: The results indicate that the model which considers value added measurement of performance shows that there is no relationship between inventory and performance. However, a robustness check was done using the ROA to measure the performance and, in this scenario, there was a statistically inverted U-shaped relation between the profitability, the net trade cycle and its square. This means that a non-linear relationship between the variables were found, which follows the idea of an optimal level of inventory and performance. Contributions: To the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the first study that investigates an inflection point between inventory management and performance in Brazilian firms. The findings have relevant practical guidelines to the Brazilian firms and researchers in the analysis of the performance related to the net trade cycle, which it can be suggested that the Brazilian shareholders are not concerned about internal factors, as the inventory management, but if the firm is being managed profitable.

The premise for the present study lies in the lack of a unanimous scientific opinion on the relationship between self-knowledge and psychological well-being. The article presents the results of a study of the factors of psychological well-being of adolescents associated with their self-knowledge. The relevance of the conducted study is due to the need to integrate scientific knowledge on the internal factors contributing to psychological well-being. The scientific novelty is shaped by the fact that adolescents’ self-knowledge in the context of their psychological well-being is understudied and is examined for the first time. The study includes 500 adolescents aged 13-17 years old from schools in Tula, Lipetsk, and Moscow regions. The conducted factor analysis reveals common and specific factors of psychological well-being that are significant for adolescents with varying levels of psychological well-being. The common factors found in the entire sample are the desire for self-reflective analysis, for successful communication, for physical harmony, and for a meaningful perception of one’s future. The specific factors relevant for each group – adolescents with high, average, and low levels of psychological well-being – are also identified. The results of the analysis allow concluding that the psychological well-being of adolescents at different levels of psychological well-being is determined by factors related to self-knowledge. The presented work is of interest for researchers concerned with the problems of adolescents’ psychological well-being, as well as in designing educational programs and projects aimed at improving the psychological well-being of adolescents.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between manager’s Strategic intelligence, organizational development and entrepreneurial behavior. Design/methodology/approach Data is gathered from the responses of 274 employees from a government agency in an underdeveloped country to three standard questionnaires. Findings The results show significant positive relationships between manager’s SI and OD and manager’s SI and EB but no significant moderating effects of demographic variables with the exception gender which had a significant effect on managers’ SI- EB relationship. Practical implications Therefore to optimize performance and gain a competitive advantage training to improve SI and EB should be provided and consideration should be given to improving internal factors within the organization to promote OD. Originality/value This paper has an original approach by using data collected in a government agency in an underdeveloped country to propose a model of manager’s SI, OD and EB.

This study aims to determine the participation rate of Women Farmers Group members in implementing the Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program in Kendari City and analyze the relationship between the participation rate with internal and external factors of Women Farmers Group members in the Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program. The research was conducted in June-July 2021. The population in this study was 53 members of the Women Farmers Group. Using the census method, 53 group members were obtained as research samples. The variables of this research are the participation rate, internal factors, and external factors. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis through the Likert scale measuring tools and Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed that the participation rate of Women Farmers Group members in implementing the Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program was the Seruni Women Farmers Group was in the medium category, and the Mekopoaso Women Farmers Group was in the high sort. The relation between the participation rate with internal and external factors of the Women Farmers Group members in the Pekarangan Pangan Lestari is the participation rate obtained which is significantly related to internal factors, namely the level of education and type of work, and external factors, namely the availability of agricultural tools and facilities.

For many years different scientists have published the results of research related to the usage of UDI (user-driven innovation) concept and its impact on innovation activity of enterprises. None of them, however, concerned the relationship between various determinants for developing the R&D (Research and Development) sphere. It is the reason why the main purpose of the study is to present the empirical evidence in finding the determinants for usage of “user-driven innovation” concept (UDI). The work focuses on using this concept in R&D departments, which are very often responsible for introducing this kind of innovation in a firm’s practice. The use of the UDI concept in R&D in the enterprise will be influenced by various factors which, in the literature, are divided into external, independent of the enterprise; and internal, which can be a result of adopted strategies, action plans and/or operating standards. The implementation of UDI in enterprises gives a number of benefits resulting from interaction with the environment, but also encounters barriers and internal problems that need to be neutralized. It is why, in this paper, the internal factors will be considered. To present the relationship between the selected variables, the correspondence analysis which constitutes one of the methods for multidimensional statistical analysis, was applied. The results presented in the paper allowed to formulate several important conclusions about the potential level of implementation of UDI concept in R&D departments in Poland. Firstly, it should be noted that in Poland, the UDI concept is still seen as new. This is why there are no scientific publications on this topic, as well as a lack of system solutions and strategic documents encouraging entrepreneurs to conduct research and development activity based on contacts with users. That is why authors have made some recommendations regarding the promotion of activities related to the use of UDI in research and development processes. Our research supplements the current knowledge in the field of internal conditions affecting the implementation of the UDI concept in enterprises which are starting to implement this concept.
