Background: Climate change is an emerging challenge that the global society will have to deal with over the coming decades. The task is particularly daunting to developing societies as they are considered more susceptible to climate change because of their exposures and sensitivities to climate-related extremes, and especially because of their restricted adaptive capabilities to deal with the effects of hazardous events. Objectives: This research attempts to seek evidence of adaptation undertaken as a result of climate change-induced impacts and analyze the factors affecting the capability and strategies of climate change adaptation by small scale farmers in Nepal. Methods: A descriptive cum correlational research design was employed in the study following a quantitative approach. Using a convenience sampling method, primary data for each variable was collected from 67 small scale farmers of Tinau River Basin located in the Western region of Nepal. 5-Point Likert Scale questions were prepared and pilot testing was conducted to collect the responses. Descriptive statistics, Kendall Rank Correlation and Cronbach’s Alpha (α) Test were used while analyzing the data and testing the hypotheses. The inferences were made at 5% and 1% level of significance. Results: The findings indicate that the small scale farmers in the Tinau River Basin are experiencing the varied level of changes in climate. It revealed the existence of some barring factors for adaptation, further, insisting that farmers are prone to suffer from capability losses due to climate change. Conclusion: The study concludes that small scale farmers are prone to suffer from capability losses due to climate change. Climate change effects are hampering their ability to cultivate the land, increasingly damaging their production, and causing lower yields of harvests. Implications:  This study suggests that such influencing factors should be taken into prime consideration (while developing additional intervention) to enhance farmers’ capabilities to better cope with climate change effects; thus improving their adaptation measures for maintaining a flourishing relationship with the changing climate.

The growing trend in marketing technologies presents opportunity for maximum productivity and profitability through the adoption of mobile technologies, phone calls in particular to business organizations. Firms who see this development as opportunity of gaining consumer purchase stand a better chance for survival. The adoption of telemarketing in the food and beverage firms is increasing given the spate of consumer awareness of the usefulness of mobile phones in purchase however the measure of consumer purchase behavior in telemarketing is still minimal in marketing research. This research seeks to validate empirically, while analyzing the influence of telemarketing on consumer purchase behavior of food and beverage firm in Port Harcourt. The study adopted quantitative research design using a survey method. A total of 184 subjects made of marketing managers and employees in the frame of eight (8) respondents from 25 firms were surveyed through questionnaire administration. Four research questions were posed and four hypotheses were tested. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation while inferential statistics of Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coefficient (rho) was used to test the stated hypothesis in SPSS version 25 which was used to correlate data on the independent and dependent variables of the study. The findings from the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient analysis result reveal a significant relationship between inbound marketing, outbound marketing, B2B telemarketing, B2C telemarketing and consumer purchase behavior. It was concluded that telemarketing influence on consumer purchase behavior of food and beverage firms in Port Harcourt is significant. The study therefore recommends that food and beverage firms’ marketers should engage convenient advertisement strategies that accommodate customer feedback, extract customer data from available directories such as the network service provider data base, initiate and maintain good rapport with other firms and provide regular and up to-date training to the telemarketers to achieve customer purchase in Port Harcourt.

Brand trust is a factor that makes a company's success in consumer interest to make purchases while satisfying consumers. Satisfaction will be achieved and enjoyed if it is able to provide value relative to consumer desires. The large number of smartphone products with various brands that have sprung up in the market, has made business competition between smartphone products even tighter. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone product is one of the smartphone products that is currently quite popular among the public. To maintain the consistency of Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone products on the market, smartphone product manufacturer Xiaomi Redmi 5 must continue to be able to maintain consumer confidence in its products so that consumers will reflect brand reliability and brand intention from the Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone products it uses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between brand trust and consumer satisfaction at Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone in Bengkulu City. This study is a correlational study with the type of data used are primary data obtained through questionnaires. The sample in this study were consumers of Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone products who bought smartphones in the Xiaomi City of Bengkulu Gallery totaling 39 people with the sampling method, namely accidental sampling. Data analysis methods used are analysis of average distribution, spearman rank correlation (spearman rank corellation) and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that, there is a strong and significant relationship between brand trust and the satisfaction of Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone consumers in Bengkulu City with a correlation coefficient (correlation coefficient) of 0.799 and a probability value (sig) of 0.000 <alpha 0.05.

Abstract. An analysis of cloud overlap based on high temporal and vertical resolution retrievals of cloud condensate from a suite of ground instruments is performed at a mid-latitude atmospheric observation facility. Two facets of overlap are investigated: cloud fraction overlap, expressed in terms of a parameter "α" indicating the relative contributions of maximum and random overlap, and overlap of horizontal distributions of condensate, expressed in terms of the correlation coefficient of condensate ranks. The degree of proximity to the random and maximum overlap assumptions is also expressed in terms of a decorrelation length, a convenient scalar parameter for overlap parameters assumed to decay exponentially with separation distance. Both cloud fraction overlap and condensate overlap show significant seasonal variations with a clear tendency for more maximum overlap in the summer months. More maximum overlap is also generally observed when the domain size used to define cloud fractions increases. These tendencies also exist for rank correlations, but are significantly weaker. Hitherto unexplored overlap parameter dependencies are investigated by analyzing mean parameter differences at fixed separation distance within different layers of the atmospheric column, and by searching for possible systematic relationships between alpha and rank correlation. We find that for the same separation distance the overlap parameters are significantly distinct in different atmospheric layers, and that random cloud fraction overlap is usually associated with more randomly overlapped condensate ranks.
