The goal-is to analyze the state of development of poultry farming in Kazakhstan, identify the range of main problems and propose mechanisms for their solution. Methods - economic and mathematical modeling, economic and statistical, dialectical. Results - the advantages of turkey meat production over other types of poultry industry were revealed. The indicators of the poultry sector, as well as the production of feed in the leading regions of the republic in dynamics from 2019 to 2021 are given. An important advantage in obtaining turkey meat is a large meat yield from one carcass compared to other poultry, this indicates a high economic efficiency. The authors note that in the poultry subcomplex, meat direction has an advantage over the egg one, since poultry meat can be sold from all its varieties. The necessity of rational use of the fodder base in the production of turkey meat has been determined. Methods of using feed, namely wet, dry and combined processing, are considered, their structure is shown. So, for example, mixes are subjected to wet processing, that is, ground cereals, grains, concentrated supplements with protein content by adding water, whey, milk, juicy feed, broth and vitamins. Dry feed consists of complete feed in granules or ground form, enriched with essential minerals and vitamins. It has been determined that the use of innovative technologies for obtaining turkey meat, such as a floor system of growing and heating of a gas type, can reduce heating tariffs compared to a conventional system, reduce energy costs by more than 20%. Conclusions. Development of the poultry sector is socially beneficial and the most promising direction in ensuring food security of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Recommendations have been developed for improving the feed base, reimbursing part (30%) of financial costs associated with purchase of machinery and special equipment, the construction of modular production structures for meat and egg farms, preferential subsidies for investment activities of poultry enterprises, as well as the formation of stabilization funds for feed grain.

The article presents the results of economic and statistical analysis of poultry industry in Kazakhstan. The assessment of its condition and development in the leading regions of Kazakhstan for the period from 2010 to 2019 was done in dynamics. The fundamental factors motivating the efficiency of poultry farming in the republic have been determined. A number of problems are highlighted, the early solution of which will contribute to ensuring the country's food security, which is especially important, taking into account the current state of import dependence in this sector. It is shown that expansion of production of poultry products satisfies the internal needs for poultry meat, thereby reducing import dependence for a number of products of poultry subcomplex. The reasons for the decrease in poultry population number in the regions have been justified. Measures aimed to minimize the influence of constraining factors on development of poultry farming have been developed. The article provides recommendations of recommendatory nature on solution of the problems identified as a result of the analysis, including recommendations on improving the feed base, reimbursing part (30%) of financial costs associated with purchase of machinery and special equipment, construction of modular production structures for meat and egg farms, preferential subsidizing of investment activities of poultry enterprises, as well as the formation of stabilization funds for feed grain in State reserve and association of agricultural producers, the need to use highly productive poultry crosses, development of our own breeding base for poultry farming, purposeful work to improve feed supply, introduction of resource-saving energy-intensive technologies, and provision of the industry with qualified personnel.

Poultry farming is one of the most promising areas of production not only in Ukraine but also in the world. This is due to the high demand for protein products and increased consumption. Ukraine does not use enough of its export potential in the agrarian sector. It is precisely these circumstances lead to choosing as the basis for the research the mentioned direction of production by domestic producers. The tendencies of the Ukrainian poultry enterprises development and features of the chicken market are generalized, namely the volume of cultivation and sale on the slaughter of poultry by Ukrainian producers, the cost price and profitability of poultry meat production have been analyzed; the specific features of the products range are defined in all competitor companies and products offered for export. The competitiveness of domestic poultry production in comparison with domestic and foreign analogues has been investigated. For the study the following enterprises as the LLS “Ptahokompleks” Gubin, TM “Pan Kurchak”, slaughter-house “Piorkowscy” and JSC “Superdrop” were taken. It is established that domestic products are competitive both in terms of price and taste properties. The dynamics of export and import of poultry meat in Ukraine and abroad is analyzed. Significant growth of poultry meat export as compared to previous periods has been revealed, which is explained by obtaining permit documents and implementation of measures by domestic producers to bring poultry products closer to international standards. The prospects for the development of the investigated production direction are designed.

This paper presents the results of studies of regional specialization and territorial concentration in agriculture. The poultry meat branch was chosen as the object of research. This is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of agriculture in Russia. Modified localization coefficients were used as a method for detecting the territorial concentration of the sector. The analysis showed that more than half of the output of poultry meat products was concentrated in the territory of 12 regions of Russia. The largest localization of poultry farming is in the center of the European part of the country, near large cities. The level of territorial concentration of the poultry meat sector increased significantly over the period of 2004–2017. The localization coefficients of the regions that specialize in poultry meat production have more than doubled. There is an increase in “polarity” in the specialization of regions. Some regions continue to increase the production of poultry meat, the level of regional specialization is growing. In other regions, poultry production is declining. Taking the poultry meat sector as a case study, it has been shown that the processes of regional specialization and territorial localization are increasing in Russian agriculture.

Poultry meat is a valuable source of protein for human consumption. It plays an important role in countries with poor ungulate meat production, including the Republic of Kazakhstan. The intake of fibre by the Kazakh population also remains low, while the intake of saturated fatty acids is excessive. Therefore, it is recommended to combine meat with plant products, e.g. soya flour. In the present research, we developed and evaluated a new meatball product containing different amounts of soya flour. The meatballs proved to be a semi-finished high-protein product. They also demonstrated a good fatty acid and mineral profile. The product with 30% of soya flour showed the best results: 27% of protein, low content of saturated fatty acid, and shelf life of 48 h. To extend the shelf life of the meatballs under refrigerator conditions, new disinfection methods should be developed.

The basis of this article is the study of such form of farming in rural areas as personal subsidiary farms. The importance of private farming is actualized both in matters of a social nature in rural areas, and issues of sustainable development of entire sectors of the economy. The article clarifies the main socio-economic functions of personal subsidiary farms. The basics of motivation and goal-setting in the direction of entrepreneurship are considered. The personality of the entrepreneur, as an economic unit, is also considered as an object, with the definition of his characteristic features and the influence of this personality on the nature of the activity of private household plots and its business activity.. And since the university is a key link in the model, the experience of Henry Etzkowitz and Loiet Leidesdorff in defining the role of the institution in hybrid models is relevant. This article is written based on the results of two years of research during the implementation of the Grant financing project of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. AR08053217 "Development of a model for the effective functioning of personal subsidiary farms on the example of poultry meat production", 2020-2022.

Current trends in meat and meat products exports are considered. The dynamics and structural changes in meat exports by types and degree of processing (beef and veal, pork, poultry, finished meat products) are analyzed. The paper proves that in recent years, only meat and edible poultry by-products have taken a competitive position in the world market. Accordingly, the dynamics of exports of this type of meat is positive, and the share of these products in the structure of exported meat is the largest (86.09%). Possible threats to the growth of import dependence on certain types of meat products, in particular, chilled and frozen beef and veal, pork, are indicated. The rating of the largest countries-importers of meat and meat products (by types) from Ukraine is built, their share in the structure of meat exports is determined. Changes in the geographical structure of exports have been studied, which indicate a low level of diversification of the geography of exports of certain types of meat (pork, beef). At the same time, a positive development of the geographical structure of poultry meat exports (exported to more than 100 countries) was revealed. Problems of the export potential development in the meat industry of Ukraine are revealed. In particular, the problems of livestock development (outdated technologies and production techniques that reduce the efficiency and productivity; inefficiency of the organization of purchase and processing of meat, which leads to reduced breeding in small businesses and households; inefficiency of state incentives, etc.) and industrial meat production (lack of raw materials, obsolescence of fixed assets and production technologies, poorly developed logistics, etc.). The solution of these problems requires: a systematic approach, which will encourage the cooperation of agricultural and industrial production, cooperation with importers of meat products and protection of domestic producers in the domestic and international markets, creating a favorable investment and information environment that will promote the meat industry development.
