Gospel preaching is the duty of every believer to be carried out not a mandate for certain people, such as pastors, pastors or evangelists. But this preaching of the gospel is a direct mandate from God for believers. But some of the believers do not have a correct understanding of this noble task and thus ignore it. Based on the above problem, Matthew 28: 16-20 is discussed so that every believer is able to understand and apply the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. The biblical text is one part that teaches about missionary service for this world, which is to make all nations disciples of Jesus Christ. This study uses a qualitative study of biblical literature with a literal-grammatical-historical-contextual interpretation approach and considers highly correlated Bible texts, and describes them so as to be able to provide an understanding of Jesus' commands to make disciples. Every believer needs to grow in faith and his knowledge of God. Thus believers will be enabled to do His commandments. The Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ is not a choice but a necessity to do. The message that must be conveyed is that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and on the third day He rose and ascended into heaven.

This paper presents the discursive thinking of the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20. A correct understanding of the Great Commission is needed so that the implementation of the preaching of the gospel in society is not arbitrary, let alone cause conflict. This study in exploring the discursiveness of the Great Commission was conducted using a qualitative approach. Retrieval of data in the literature related to the topic in this paper. This research concludes that the discursive Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ is one of the culmination of all the biblical foundations for evangelism to develop faith that comes from the four Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles with different emphases. The results of the study conclude that the Gospel of Matthew 28: 18-20 emphasizes that disciples who are weak in faith are empowered to evangelize with the promise of God's participation until the end of time.

Twenty-four isolates of Puccinia triticina from Italy were characterized for virulence to seedlings of 22 common wheat Thatcher isolines, each with a different leaf rust resistance gene, and for molecular genotypes at 15 simple sequence repeat (SSR) loci. The isolates were compared to a set of 13 previously characterized P. triticina isolates from either durum or common wheat. Clustering based on virulence phenotypes and SSR genotypes grouped the Italian P. triticina isolates into three groups. In the first group, the isolates had virulence phenotypes and SSR genotypes that were similar to the isolates collected from durum wheat. Isolates in the second group were unique because they had virulence similar to the isolates from common wheat but were distinct for SSR genotypes compared to the isolates from durum wheat and from common wheat. Isolates in the third group had virulence phenotypes and SSR genotypes closely related to the isolates from common wheat. The isolates were grouped based on the known or assumed host of origin, virulence phenotype, and SSR genotypes. Measures of FST and RST for SSR genotypes, and ΦST for virulence phenotype were significant, which indicated differentiation among the three groups of isolates. Virulence phenotypes and molecular genotypes were highly correlated with r = 0.74.

In this response to the reviews by John Christopher Thomas, Robby Waddell, and Chris E.W. Green of Craig Keener’s book, Spirit Hermeneutics: Reading Scripture in Light of Pentecost (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2016), the author argues that it is important both to hear the biblical text in its original setting and to hear its message for us today. He states that the latter should have some relation to the former if we want to claim canonical authority for what we are saying. Keener insists that even the strongest critiques raised by his reviewers do not reveal substantial disagreement on these points. He states with assurance that he and his reviewers agree on this: the Spirit impassions us with not merely factual knowledge but with the intimate, relational knowledge of God.

This study researches the meanings of implicit utterances in Mat Luthfi’s vlog. This qualitative study employs relevance theory, a linguistics-based theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson drawn from the discipline of pragmatics. This theory foregrounds three main concepts comprising the role of context, cognitive effects and processing efforts. The research data consists of implicit dialogue uttered by characters in the video. Data were identified, transcribed, and subsequently analysed based on Relevance Theory. Library research was also used to further explore the implicit and Relevance Theory-based expressions. The findings show that there are ten utterances in the vlogs with implicit elements. These in turn indicate that the speaker wished to convey specific messages to listeners. This study explains that in the Malay community, utterings are various in meaning and are not merely confined to their literal meanings for correct understanding and interpretation. Hence, the meaning of an utterance is more easily understood when interpreted using the Relevance Theory.

In 1823, Joseph Smith (1805–44), a farmer and treasure seeker in Upstate New York, had a vision in which a personage told him of ancient golden plates buried in a hillside, which Mormons claim he recovered, translated, and published as the Book of Mormon (1830) and which led to the founding of a restored church (1830). The revelation to Smith that Mormons now refer to as “D&C 3,” that is, the third revelation in the current edition of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' canonized Doctrine and Covenants, provides our first direct window into the emergence of early Mormonism. Although there is evidence to suggest that Smith received what he and others viewed as revelations prior to this one, this is the first revelation that was written down at about the time it was received. This chapter centers on that revelation, using it to reconstruct not only the event itself but the events that led up to and followed from it, as they likely appeared to those who were involved at the time.

This project explores how the Evangelical Pentecostal Church (EPC) in Croatia is making disciples of Jesus Christ today. The goal is to demonstrate that despite the worldwide and local deficit in effective disciple making, the EPC has the resources and potential to live in obedience to the Great Commission. This has been shown by looking at the historical definition of a disciple, exegeting Matthew 28:16-20, exploring the proper context of disciple-making, and interviewing several members of the EPC. Upon examination, while there are multiple causes for the lack of disciples in Croatia, the primary problem is that of what will be called naive disobedience. It will be argued that local churches in the EPC have not been taught how to properly make disciples. By presenting the importance of teaching, relationships and practicing the spiritual disciplines, it will be demonstrated that a solution to the lack of disciple-making exists within the EPC.

The doctrine of the mediation of Jesus Christ in the scientific theology of T.F. Torrance rests on the fundamental methodological axiom that knowledge is developed according to the nature (kata physin) of the object of scientific inquiry. To know God through the incarnate Son, who is ‘of one nature with the Father’, is to know God in strict accordance with God’s nature and hence in a theologically scientific way. In Torrance’s kataphysical method, a priori knowledge of God is excluded, for epistemology follows ontology. Because the fundamental aspects of reality are relational rather than atomistic, a scientific theological approach to the doctrine of the mediation of Jesus Christ requires that he be investigated within the nexuses of ‘being-constituting’ interrelations, or ‘onto-relations’, which disclose his identity as incarnate Saviour of the world. Following the principle of logical simplicity, the vast and scattered array of Torrance’s thought can be reduced to a minimal number of elemental forms that succinctly describe in a unitary, non-dualist manner the onto-relations that constitute the identity of the incarnate Son. The primary elemental forms of Torrance’s doctrine of mediation are the Nicene homoousion and the Chalcedonian doctrine of the hypostatic union. Two additional elemental forms that readily arise as corollaries of the doctrine of the hypostatic union are the doctrines of incarnational redemption and the ‘vicarious humanity’ of Jesus Christ. These elemental forms provide a conceptual lens for a theologically holistic view of the mediation of Jesus Christ in the scientific theology of T.F. Torrance.
