ABSTRACTMoney is part of the community's need to conduct various transactions. Indonesia as a developing country makes the dollar as the standard of money value because the position of the dollar is considered strong by almost all countries in the world. But in fact the existence of a dollar that is not guaranteed by anything often changes (fluctuates) and will directly affect the financial systems of countries that refer to the dollar, including Indonesia. Ibn Khaldun was a Muslim scientist who lived during the decline of Islam. He was actively involved in the world of government and was one of the figures who had brilliant ideas about the concept of money (751-808 H / 1350-1406 AD). This study aims to examine Ibn Khaldhun's concept of money and monetary policy in the economy and the relevance of his thinking to monetary policy in Indonesia. This research uses library research design (Library Research) with a historical and descriptive approach. The data collection technique chosen is the documentation technique, namely the data collection technique by examining relevant literature with the chosen title. In the analysis phase content analysis techniques are used and combined with historical continuity methods to answer the problem formulation that is proposed. The data analysis stage is through the stages of linguistic analysis and concept analysis. The results showed that: 1) the emergence of the concept of Ibn Khaldun's money and monetary system in the economy was motivated by the economic and political conditions experienced during Ibn Khaldun's life. History says that Muqadimah Ibn Khaldun was written based on the results of his thoughts combined with life experiences he experienced; 2) The concept of Ibn Khaldun is relevant if it is applied in the monetary system in Indonesia. This is based on the real conditions faced by Indonesia, which currently uses empty money. Even though its existence is now proven to have caused crises many times. So it is not impossible if gold and silver coins are used as the standard of money value.Key word: Concept of Money, Monetary Policy

China and India are rising powers of Asia. Both Asian giants have to adopt the policy of interdependence by growing economic ties; on the other side, they have a strict stance on border disputes. This article describes in detail the bilateral relationship between China-India, especially under the Modi doctrine, during his first term. Secondly, it also discusses the limitation of these growing ties and growing concerns for Pakistan. The basic argument of this article is that the growing economic interdependence will affect Pakistan, especially if this interdependence transfer from the economic to military dimension. The whole data is based on exploratory in nature. A qualitative research method has been used to achieve the research goals. Tools used for data collection include oral interviews and content analysis of the existing literature on the subject in the form of books, official reports and research articles. The relevant literature has been objectively analyzed to reach a meaningful conclusion.

Background: Injury and illness surveillance, and epidemiological studies, are fundamental elements of concerted efforts to protect the health of the athlete. To encourage consistency in the definitions and methodology used, and to enable data across studies to be compared, research groups have published 11 sport- or setting-specific consensus statements on sports injury (and, eventually, illnesses) epidemiology to date. Objective: To further strengthen consistency in data collection, injury definitions, and research reporting through an updated set of recommendations for sports injury and illness studies, including a new Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) checklist extension. Study Design: Consensus statement of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Methods: The IOC invited a working group of international experts to review relevant literature and provide recommendations. The procedure included an open online survey, several stages of text drafting and consultation by working groups, and a 3-day consensus meeting in October 2019. Results: This statement includes recommendations for data collection and research reporting covering key components: defining and classifying health problems, severity of health problems, capturing and reporting athlete exposure, expressing risk, burden of health problems, study population characteristics, and data collection methods. Based on these, we also developed a new reporting guideline as a STROBE extension—the STROBE Sports Injury and Illness Surveillance (STROBE-SIIS). Conclusion: The IOC encourages ongoing in- and out-of-competition surveillance programs and studies to describe injury and illness trends and patterns, understand their causes, and develop measures to protect the health of the athlete. The implementation of the methods outlined in this statement will advance consistency in data collection and research reporting.

This study aims to determine the perception of communication science students towards the Apple Smartphone brand as a lifestyle. This study uses the theory of Jean Boudrillard. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews and observations, supported by relevant literature by focusing on communication science students at the Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo university. The method used is purposive sampling, this technique uses informants who have been determined or have predetermined criteria to support this research. The results of the discussion above can be concluded that students' perceptions of smartphones as a lifestyle are divided into the following processes, one, perceptual selection occurs when students remember that iPhone users will look more visible or high-class than other smartphone users, and make users more confident. Second, the student perception organization collects information from various sources to be understood in order to consider whether to buy or not, so that they will not be disappointed with the items they buy. Third, the interpretation of the stimulus describes the meaning of the Apple smartphone as a brand that provides an identity for its users.

This study examined the effect of fathers’ perceptions of fatherhood through online meetings with fathers who have preschool children between 3-6 years of age. A total of 42 fathers (21 fathers in the experimental group and 21 fathers in the control group) took part in the study. The research design with a pretest and posttest control group was used in the research. The “Fatherhood Role Perception Scale” developed by Kuzucu (1999) was used for data collection. Within the scope of the research, online fathers meet-up training was held for the experimental group once a week throughout 11 weeks. The data were analysed using the Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test (nonparametric tests). According to the data obtained in the research, it was concluded that the online fathers’ meet-up training was significantly effective on fathers’ perceptions of the fatherhood role. The study’s findings were discussed, and suggestions were listed for future studies in the relevant literature.

Currently, most of the recommender systems that are in a prototype or deployed stage are primarily accuracy oriented. This chapter focuses on teacher preferences for designing serendipity-oriented recommender systems for academic activities. Reports on relevant literature about serendipitous recommenders and fac ulty empowerment with such tools, a focus group study of teachers for some industrial recommender system platforms, and a use case on instructor use of recommenders to inform and support recommendations for lectures are covered. Further, a survey of students to explore the feasibility of student-teacher serendipitous activities and operations are also reported. The results from all three studies show that serendipity has a major role to play in the future. The author surveyed the literature on standard digital libraries and used questionnaire-based data collection and standard statistical methods to evaluate the responses.

The existence of the castle or puri as a historical and cultural heritage of traditional Balinese architecture at this time began to fade due to the influence of modernization. Not a few puri in Bali have experienced commodification both in terms of shape, function and meaning. Therefore an effort is needed to maintain the continuity of traditional Balinese architecture in the castle building in the midst of global culture, namely by developing the castle towards special interest tourism which is currently becoming a trend in the tourism world. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential of traditional Balinese architecture in castle buildings as a tourist attraction of special interest in supporting the development of tourism in Bali. This research included descriptive qualitative research conducted for three months at Puri Kaba-Kaba, Tabanan, Bali. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation on traditional Balinese architecture in Puri Kaba-Kaba, in-depth interviews with four informants consisting of castle leaders, tourism conscious groups, and the Head of Kaba-Kaba Village, as well as documentation studies of relevant literature and documents. The results of the study show that Puri Kaba-Kaba still preserves the concept of Sanga Mandala especially in parts of sacred or infused places that contain form, function, and meaning of traditional Balinese architecture that is unique and of historical value so that it has the potential to be developed into a special interest tourist attraction.

Background: Altering components of ecological momentary assessment (EMA) measures to better suit the purposes of individual studies is a common and oftentimes necessary step. Though the inherent flexibility in EMA has its benefits, no resource exists to provide an overview of the variability in how convergent constructs and symptoms have been assessed in the past. The present study fills that gap by examining EMA measurement design for mood and anxiety symptomatology. Methods: Various search engines were used to identify 234 relevant studies. Items administered, data collection schedules (i.e., beeps per day), response scales (i.e., Likert), data collection platforms (i.e., apps), and psychometric properties (i.e., reliability) were extracted. Results: Study designs varied greatly in all aspects across the identified papers. Over 4,600 extracted items were qualitatively analyzed, resulting in the identification of 12 themes. The most EMA items focused on affect, with categories such as “happiness” and “tension” appearing most frequently. We provide all of our data extraction in the format of an open-source database.Limitations: Despite our best attempts to include as much of the relevant literature as possible, this review and the accompanying database are not exhaustive, but can easily be built upon to include other, newer studies. Conclusions: The fact that the affect theme featured both positive and negative emotional constructs highlights the dichotomous focus on valence and affect within the literature surrounding anxious and depressive symptomatology. We hope that our database will act as a helpful design decision-making resource for researchers studying this kind of symptomatology in the future.Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO (CRD42019139409).
